1 starI cancelled my warranties on my car to bring down my loan amount. It reduced my balance by over 4k on the principal. This was in December. I called today and spoke to a loan person and asked if my payment amount could be lowered to reflect the new balance, she worked my numbers and felt it could be reduced by 100 a month and she would send it up the line and I would get a docusign in my email. I did and they insulted me by reducing the payment by 4:00, I didnt sign and they said I should have done this in December. Very disappointed and run the other way for any loan.Review fromTama P

1 starMy friend doesn't speak or understand English at times. He is Portuguese. Suncoast gave him a loan for $52,529.29 and his only income is his social security of $1700 a month. I appears they inflated his income on the application from the car dealer and he has a payment now of $802.61 a month not to mention the car insurance is $280 a month. His income to debt ratio is 64%! No company would give a loan for this amount. Between the car dealer and Suncoast they took advantage of him.Suncoast Credit Union

1 starSuncoast Repossessed my car due to 60 day late payment and demanded I pay the loan off in full within 10 days or my car will be auctioned off. This is illegal and disgusting behavior!! Do not use this bank for any loan!!! They do not work with consumers and will take your car/home after years of paying on time thousands of dollars at the last leg of the loan with outrageous demands. I have not spoken with ***. She left one message. I was unable to contact her back directly. So more BS and lies on their part. This matter has not been resolved and will be further escalated by my attorney. They caused loss of wages and emotional distress with this illegal repossession and requiring that the entire loan be paid in full plus a $750 repo fee. Suncoast behavior and policy is despicable and they should not be allowed to harm customers in this way.Review fromJill S

1 starThis credit union is ridiculous I got approved for a financed car through them my payment is 660..every month when I make the payment only 300 goes to the car the other 300 is for interest payment. Just like my car on the lot was priced at 21000 after going through them the final price was 51000...Suncoast Credit Union

1 starThis credit union is the WORST! They have sub par customer service and a special accounts department that apparently handles everything but you cant talk to anyone in that department. The employees within the bank cant even talk to them! They constantly lose paperwork and are the most mismanaged institution Ive ever seen! This place needs to be investigated or at the very least be revamped, so it runs at least half way decent! My 6 year old could run things more efficiently , I cant believe they are in business.Suncoast Credit Union

1 starUsed Suncoast Federal Credit Union for a first time home buyer Mortgage and they only gave me $908 closing assistance. I was told in the beginning i would get $3,000 closing assistance but then one day before closing the $908 was thrown at me and then was told its up to $3,000 closing assistance. 3 starsA week ago Suncoast Credit Union released a new product, high yield MM. I went in to move my MM to a high yield. OK you have to also have a high yield checking so I opened a high yield checking. I went home and requested all my direct deposits to go into my high yield checking instead of the regular checking and then tried to change my auto pays in bill pay. NOPE! My high yield checking is not available in bill pay, only my regular checking and one of my MM accounts are available to pay bills. Nice, now that I have all my direct deposits going into high yield. !. No one at Suncoast even knew anything about the new high yield accounts. Suncoast released them with out training their staff. 2. They have been trying to fix my bill pay with no success. I am going to have to go back in and wait an hour to talk to someone to move my accounts back to regular accounts or find another credit union and just move everything elsewhere. Yes, it took two weeks. A bit long for a financial institution. And only when I contacted an Executive Director, it was then fixed the same day. Finally, someone listened and I thank that person.
