I have asked unmask to remove my information off their site at least 2 times since January 2024. Both times, I received confirmation that they will remove my information. They have not. In fact, they now have my real DOB on the website which can open me up to identity theft. It is not right that this website can post this information online.Business Response

I have found my personal information on this site without my permission at all. It is extremely violating! I filled out their form and emailed their customer service email to delete the profile. I wanted to leave a complaint because I'm pretty sure this is illegal and for people to even have to reach out to delete their personal information that was never given freely is ridiculous. This compliant is against FREE PEOPLE SEARCH - UNMASKED and AFFILIATES. Their website states: Sponsorship Disclaimer: Some of the listings that appear on this website are from companies from which we receive compensation. making it extremely difficult to permanently remove personal information from their websites and other platforms under their control. The complaint pertains to the unauthorized dissemination of personal information and the failure to comply with a request for data removal. Below is a list of key points and evidence for your review: 1. I contacted Unmasked, Free People Search sites requesting the removal of my personal information from their databases and platforms due to concerns regarding online privacy and data security. Despite repeated attempts to communicate with their customer support team, I have not received any confirmation or action regarding the removal of my data. 2. The continued accessibility of my personal information on their sites poses a significant risk to my privacy and security, potentially leading to identity theft, harassment, and other forms of exploitation. 3. The automated verification process for data removal encounters obstacles due to outdated contact information provided by Unmasked and their affiliates. Despite multiple requests made by me to remove personal information it remains online. They are more concerned with making money off of my personal information than complying with the Privacy Act.
