This scam site is continuously wanting (EXTORTING) ones personal information when me and some family members requested removal of our PERSONAL INFORMATION such as name, age, address and associative family members. I would like BBB TO PLEASE PLEASE file an extortion case against this criminal site. All other sites I've requested personal information removal from did so. This is the only site that requests the below: To proceed with your request, we require a benign form of identification, such as a photo of a mailing label from junk mail or a utility bill (with sensitive information redacted), but that must show the address of the information to be removed. If you are unwilling or unable to provide information, there are 2 other options: 1) have an Attorney or a Notary Public write us by email confirming your identity. The individual must indicate in the email their full name and address as well as their professional ID number and a link to the web site of the regulatory body where we can verify that the individual is actually licensed. They must also send the email using the official email address of their practice. They should also clearly indicate the name and the address of the information to be removed; 2) have a Commissioner of Oaths certify that you are who you claim to be and send us a scanned copy of the document which must include the commissioner's stamp or seal, name and professional ID number so that it can be verified. The document should also clearly indicate your name and the address of the information to be removed; Please have the information e-mailed to ******************************** If you are still unwilling or unable to provide this verification, we regret that we will not be able to proceed with your request to remove information.' In reference to your recent response, I would like to clarify two points. First, my request for action applies only to the specific records detailed in my original complaint. It is not intended as a blanket removal of all records that share an identical or similar name. Second, after reviewing your official response, it appears to contain a material contradiction with your own Terms and Conditions. The claim of 'non-affiliation' with other background check sites is inconsistent with the Terms, which explicitly state the disclosure of established relationships with third-party vendors. This discrepancy is further substantiated by the operational behavior of your platform, as a name-based search on the homepage results in an automatic redirection to an external website ***************. Additionally, I wish to address several platform issues I have experienced throughout this process, such as technical barriers, data inaccuracies, and a flawed verification process.
The website's previous automated IP flagging system created a technical barrier that blocked my IP address when attempting to use the dedicated opt-out search interface. This restricted my usage to one search per a variable period of several to 24 hours. This restriction, combined with the high volume of data involved, made the standard process ineffective. Ultimately, this technical issue necessitated a cumbersome manual workaround, including the provision of screenshots, to facilitate the deletion request. This practice is problematic for legitimate, high-volume data management and aligns with a pattern of IP blocking issues documented with the Better Business Bureau.
Since the filing of this complaint, the opt-out method has been revised to require a date of birth and legal name. This new process, however, creates a significant obstacle for consumers with inaccurate third-party data, a common issue characterized by errors like incorrect ages, truncated names, and conflated family data. My experience with a multi-word name and similar names to siblings exemplifies how this inflexible requirement hinders the legally protected rights of consumers with data discrepancies. A more accommodating and effective process is clearly needed.
While the previous opt-out method presented technical barriers, I was able to locate our information using its dedicated opt-out search interface after other methods, such as searching by telephone numbers and addresses, proved unsuccessful. The new method, however, no longer provides this capability. The new methodology thereby prevents the location and removal of records containing data errors, should new data be acquired through public records.
There is also a discrepancy in search results between the homepage interface, which links to an external site, and the former opt-out search interface. While both yielded different results, the parameters available in the original opt-out tool were effective for locating the specific information.
Furthermore, data reported on third-party websites often contains inaccuracies, as it is independently collected and aggregated by private entities. Discrepancies on such external websites are a result of their own data handling and processing, and are not an indication of an error in the official County Clerk and Recorder offices.
In conclusion, The shift from technical inconvenience to systemic disenfranchisement of consumers with imperfect data undermines the very purpose of an opt-out mechanism. I trust you will review and improve this process.Initial Complaint

I request to opt-out on their website after I just recently discovered they have posted all my personal information. Like all my phone numbers and address. I followed the directions of how to opt out on their website, but my information is still on there. I then e-mail them to request AGAIN for it to be removed and a generated e-mail kicked back saying they have increase volumes and response time will be long.
