Total ripoff.Thought I was on the Courtyard by Marriott website.I was on their website, and I went to check out some reviews and I ended up on the Reservations.com website by mistake.Went ahead and booked my room, and got hit with an extra $42 charge just for booking with them, instead of directly through Courtyard by ********. Pay attention, and make sure you're on the actual hotel site because these people are leeches who make money for doing literally NOTHING.

We are Canadian seniors that booked a room in a ************** only to find out that somehow had been misdirected to a 3rd party site. We were shocked to discover that we are now paying a much higher rate in US funds with extra fees attached. This is beyond our budget not to mention how upsetting it is to be scammed like this. We tried to cancel immediately and were told we could cancel but the funds were non-refundable. Needless to say we very unhappy with reservations.com and their unethical business practices.

I booked a hotel room through this company but when I went to check out at the hotel my bill was actually $53.49 cheaper than what they charged me. They had already charged my account the ****** to my account and when I asked for a refund of the difference they denied it. I am a Sr. ******* and I think that they are taking advantage of people. They are a total rip off and I would advise people to not use them to book hotel rooms. They put on their website that they are the cheapest booking then when you book your room they add on all these taxes and a high service fee. I give them a negative rating on price and customer service.

Reservations.com is scamming people and not allowing cancellation until 7 days before the reservation date and when you call to cancel they tell you that you get no refund. I tried to cancel my reservation the day I made it but could not. The company said the email they sent me ( I never received an email ) states that there is no refund for the room I booked.

AWFUL! I do not want to assign any stars to this fraud of a business. I thought I was clicking on the Marriott home page but it was Reservations.com disguised as the actual hotel website. Then when I mistakenly chose the wrong hotel location, in a city I am not familiar with, I immediately tried to cancel this reservation. I called customer service and they said they have a zero refund policy. I asked to speak to a manager who said she could do nothing but would submit my claim to their customer service department to review. One week later they told me I was *********** no refund. Not only did they charge me nearly 200 dollars, but also taxes and service fees, totaling 250 dollars. They should not be in business. DO NOT USE THEM!

Reservation.com beware, if you reserve a stay through them, they do not honor a refund even if you cancel within 1 hour due to having wrong location. The non refund statement is not clear and makes it seem that there will be no refunds for no shows or early check outs. After reviewing further they don't even honor a 24 hour cancellation, even if you tried switching to correct hotel. They market and make reservations for Hilton. We are out $764.59.

Clearly Reservations.com is intercepting hotel pages and pretending to be making reservations for hotels. They use their home site to book reservations on behalf of ************** Nowhere on their website is it stated that they are a third party company. At the end, they tack on extra taxes and fees that are rediculously high. When I checked with their office about the high rates then they said they were a third party and the extra fees are for their services. None of this information is shown until you have already accepted the reservation. Nor does it say that your fee is non-refundable until you are done. The non-refundable statement is tiny print, barely visible. This company is in the businesses of scamming people. I want the rate that was offered by the hotel I thought I was booking with and a refund for the rediculous taxes charged, This site is a total scam. I knew it as soon as I saw the $600 charge for a $400 stay. I want my money refunded.

Looks like a discounted room rate but ends up about oberall $20 to $25 dollars more than calling hotel directly to book a room with their extra steep service fee. Also they state that the service is the rate for a double occupancy so even if you are booking a single bed, single person occupancy, you will get charged for double service fee.

Adds businesses to their site without the business' permission or a signed agreement, then marks the business as full for all dates to the detriment of that business and to boost their other contracts in the area. Predatory business practices like this seem to be common today, like GrubHub and DoorDash. We emailed them to demand our business be removed and are awaiting a response.
