      Have been using tracfone for maybe nearly 15 years. Never had much an issue till recently (last week to today). I barely use the phone; either voice or data. Almost never use text (sms) Last week, after a system update pushed to my phone my lte data (internet) simply stopped working, so I had to call tracfone several times to address the issue: 1 call) spent about 45min over the phone while the agent did all sort things trying to fix the problem to no avail, then at the end the agent told me that I could hang up and that in about 15 minutes my lte data would be in working order again. Suffice to say that after 15min, 1hour, 24hours, etc, there was no lte data on the phone. 2nd call) Spent about 30 min and about the same situation as the first case/call. But seemed to be a higher tier support.3rd call) Spent about 30 min. again with higher tier support and was told to wait about 15 min after end of call. There were lte bars on my phone but I had not data. Upon checking my account found out that my data allotment was zeroed out which made no sense whatsoever since I had plenty of data credits in my account. 4th call) Spent about 30 min. and my previous data allotment seemed to have been restored and the lte data feature on my phone was finally working again. Then found out that credit for text message (sms) credits was simply zeroed out. That seemed craze given that I almost never use text and had lots of credits for text. Then, called tracfone yet again and was told repeatedly that my credit for text was zero because it was used up. Spent over 45 min with this absolutely insane non-sensical agent. That was the most absurd and obtuse experience I have ever had with any phone company. Unfortunately, it seems that tracfone has taken a turn to the worse, and much worse; and now is controlled and populated by very incompetent people who seem to be abusing and shafting consumers. There must be some government agency one can complain about that absurdity.

      After no service on my new phone, and paying for 1 year of service, had no coverage. No customer service #s would help or their "chat". Horrible experience, would NEVER recommend TracFone to anyone...STAY AWAY!!

      i think Trac Fone is a big scam! ** bought a phone from them and it stopped working after about a month. i sent it to them to repair or replace and i never got it back. They have had the phone for 10 months now and have excuse after excuse because i haven't received it back. i would like BBB to help to resolve problem by getting a refund or replacement of same kind of phone.

      tracfone is a joke, tried 5 hours to fix calling issues, still cant make calls. they like taking your money, but cant fix phone issues.

      I don't want to give them 1 star for a rating. I purchased a phone less than a year ago when I contacted HSN where I purchased the Tracfone. When it started separating from the base, I called to see what warranty had. I was told by HSN 1 year manufacturing warranty and they gave me their number. I called and they sent me a return postage from **** I returned the phone, charger, and cord, which was the first week in November. I have called over 5 times. The automation says my phone has been sent. But the tracking number cant be found on any delivery service. And today I talked to ***** the supervisor who said the tracking number is not correct. I told her what their service is giving me. She said she cant help unless I give her the correct tracking number. I asked another supervisor she said no, I asked to track my old phone she said no. Then she said they will send me an email. I said no they havent. I ask what I can do. She said to wait for my email. WHAT. I keep getting the run-around, yet they are taking my automatic payment out on time. They have the worst customer service and communication, or should I say no communication I have ever seen

      (1) In 2021 and probably earlier TracFone Wireless enrolled me without my knowledge or authorization in ACP since it already had my information for LIFELINE SERVICE which included 6GB Data monthly of which I only use 1GB and nver use hot spots as such ACP is worthless for me and I specifically told TracFone I have no interest in ACP. I found about it from an emloyee who told me in 12-2021 that Tracfone enrolled me for over the last 12 months in ACP got paid $50 each month or $600 just in 2021 and probably years earlier too. I immediately asked. Tracfone to cancel it. And I filed complain with CPUC ***************** Utilities Commission.(2) Today I am informed that Tracfone in 04-2022 AGAIN enrolled without my knowlege or authorization in ACP got paid $30 each month for a total of $270 just in 2022.(3) TracFone **************** is the very bad service. They provided me with a deivce that have much problems. I phoned them over 100 times each call it takes them 1 to 2 hours average 1 1/2 hour without resolving the issue they just tell me after the call to restart my phone and that will resove the issues, it does not. The device is under 1 year warranty, In Califiornia after 3 failed attempts to fix the problem they TracFone is required to replace the device more specifically since its no cost to them it comes with 1 year warranty but only TracPhone can replace it since it is locked and have installed on it spyware application. Tracfone refuse to replace it.(4) Tracfone Offshore cusotemr support they simply keep repeating we will help you, we will hlp you, we will resolve the issues by the end of the call, etc. after over 100 calls each average 1 1/2 hours remain unresolved. Much worse Tracfone does not log in their system customers complains or issues called about as such every of those over 100 calls I have to spent 15 minutes repeating the problems and hear their employees tellng no problem we will resolve the issued by the end of the call. WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

      My elderly mom sent back her phone cause it was cracked an they told her to send hers first then theyll send the replacement this was November 5 2022 when they recieved her phone an now its December an no phone still keep getting the run around its being shipped an this an that an never being shipped talk to someone today name ***** number ****** very nasty attitude because Im told her its unacceptable that she still have to wait til the notes she put in the system update for her phone to even be shipped an she is a elderly an need her phone this company is not a place to get a person a phone horrible especially for a elderly they are liars an its crazy I have to call for her cause she is a elderly an they just keep lien about a phone going to be shipped but they have her phone that she sent back but do not buy from them managers are no help either

      I bought 2 phones and within 5 minutes of ordering I changed my mind and wanted 2 other phones that I found (that would have cost more). There is no where to cancel the order and customer service or sales said they were not allowed to cancel an order!! What kind of company does that??? They said to either call the bank and not have it paid or send them back.....Yeah send them back so they can say they never received them and wait months for my refund?!?!

      I am on day 12to try and recover my phone number I have had for more than 10 years. Spent about 900 mins on the phone plus hours of chats. Even went and bought a new phone because they told me the replacement simcard they sent me would not work in either of my 2 phones. This is a Bussiness phone I use seasonally. Now finally on my way in person with over $1500 in expenses to try and get it resolved . The *** should resign.

      I was sent an email in November stating i wouldn't be charged until 1/2/2023.... I've been charged every month and despite my insistence on a refund, I was ripped off.
