      Do not sign up for this cell phone or its system. I bought a year card and half way through the year they suspended the contract. After numerous times of the phone with them they told me they "did not have the card registered" and could not send me a new phone unless I proved that I used the phone often. Since I only had the phone in my car as a backup in case my car broke down I had not used it in months, and when I tried to give the call number of the year-long tracfone card I had purchased for over $100 they refused to reimburse me for any of it. If you sign up for this system be warned - they just want your money and have no care for customers or fairness. **********

      The website states that you can call from the **, *********** and **************. We landed in *********** to find out that our phone said no service. When we wifi-called and text chatted with tracfone we were told Tracfone does not have any towers on the island. They did not offer any support to help us figure out what to do. We had to go to a ******* and purchase ***** phone service for the month to be able to communicate for reservations, with family and to navigate the island using data. W two days later while at a Walgreen on the island we see that they are selling Tracfone refill cards! I contacted Tracfone back in the States and told them the situation we went through to see if they could reimburse us the $44.60 for the ***** phone plan purchased since they did not deliver on the service their website still says they offer. I was told twice there is nothing they can do over chat and at the corporate office for refunds. I have dealt with the lack luster service of Tracfone because I dont call much except for emergencies. The phone having zero service when their website advertises it does is unacceptable. At that point it is false advertising if they KNOW they do not have any cell towers to use on the island. That false advertisement put us in an emergent situation in a place where we knew no one.Tracfone is now 5G Nationwide! Built with coverage on America's ... Calls must originate from the US or *********** only.

      Horrendous customer service: Either they can't keep track of orders due to poor training or their system isn't reliable. **************** seems badly trained and unable or unwilling to help. They are also overseas and may not be able to communicate well enough in English. Simply registering and activating a phone is a task that seems to take several hours, contacting several departments/ agents. Refunds are difficult to get because order information seems too difficult for call agents to retrieve. Both chat (which is essentially useless at Tracfone) and the call center lack customer service skills and basic knowledge/ understanding. Simply sending emails to agents who would take the time and effort to complete the task correctly would be better than struggling on the phone or chat for hours with those who are either confused or making little effort.

      I bought a Trackphone from HSN and had **** plus minutes and **** text prepaid minutes remaining on it. My phone was deactivated and prepaid (over $200) taken and they attempted to extort a prepaid yearly prepaid plan or they would steal my already paid for minutes. When buying HSN never told us we had to buy a more expensive ******* plan to keep the minutes I already paid for. Customer chat with ****** told me tough luck, send more monry or they keep what I already paid for. Offering an only unlimited plan, what I paid for in good faith would be stolen by them. I feel HSN and Tracfone conspired to change tems without notice to steal prepaid fund which may be in the millons of dollars. Buyer beware if bait and switch, extortion, fraud and theft from Tracphone. Now I have a paperweight phone and they stole my prepaid minutes ehich I paid cash for.

      There needs to be a class action lawsuit brought against Tracfone. I have been trying to add minutes to my parents Tracfone phone number for 3 days now, & in the middle of the call & while in the prompts to get to the department I need, Tracfone repeatedly dropped the calls. Now I am past the service date & they refuse to reinstate the entire Tracfone minute balance. This can't be legal, & I am 100% in believing Tracfone drops calls on purpose so we will be late & lose our already paid for minutes. Some government agency needs to address this!

      I have had Straight Talk for years with no complaints, but recently I wanted to switch to another cellular service company. Straight Talk has given me their "Port Out" number, but will not relinquish my phone even though I now have the new companies SIM card. I now have NO cell service because Straight Talk will not let me go.Yesterday Straight Talk customer service told my new cell service company they would release me at 2 PM. I called at 1 pm and Straight Talk said I would be released in 1 hour. That did not happen.I talked to my new cell service Chat and Straight Talk told them they would release me at 10 PM MST. That did not happen.Today (2/20/23) Straight Talk told my new cell service I would be released at 12 noon tomorrow.**************

      Worst experience ever. Requested to speak to manager multiple times they say there not aloud. Can't validate my account because I have no service and there trying to send text they don't understand you can't receive a text with no service. Go with an American company. One that respects you and will know that the importance of a business is customer satisfaction. I haven't had. A phone for 10 days They keep saying we're gone send you a code to your phone that **** have awrvice lol sounds like there needs to be classes taught for **************** reps because I know where I'm from a phone don't receive nothing without service

      Purchasing equipment used, they activate after you pay extra money a fraudulent account creating identity theft of the previous owners asking me to get personal protected information from the previous owner to transfer ownership of equipment to resolve the identity ***** that they created refusing to provide reference ID number. This company encourages identity theft actively promotes it and has people pay to create it. You do not care about your privacy your protected bank information or your history security information. They will actively create identity theft and identity ***** as long as you pay them. And they will refuse to provide any kind of accountability because they are unethical and greedy with as little concern as ******** when they had the security breach of all their information.

      We purchased a tracfone over 2 and a half years ago. My wife and I are both disabled and elderly. We bought a SIM card from consumer ccellular because it's more affordable for us. We paid for 12 months of service up front plus another 4 months. Now that we want to change carriers tracfone want unlock our phone unless we pay them. We met the time limit .Just let us go.

      I found out how bad TracFone got when I ordered a ******* phone from their website and received an Apple iphone, it was for a different customer who's name and address was on the back of my shipping label, a $650 phone? Called customer service numerous times to try to get a shipping label sent to me so I could send the phone back and to credit my account as I saw all the complaints on here, I wanted to be done with them, I received a shipping label to return again after being told that it was emailed to me, never happened, they received the phone back on Jan. 13th, I was told 3-5 business days to receive credit, again after numerous calls to them and no satisfaction and having to repeat what happened, they should have a log of the calls, I contacted my bank, they refunded my money right away, I had to answer lots of questions about how horrible Tracfone had gotten, sorry that this happened because it is cheaper than going with a cellphone service to pay a monthly fee, I paid Tracfone once a year.
