1 starAmazingly bad customer service. The 'supposedly" tech support has no tech abilities. Here are the details. Was a customer and purchased a new iPhone 14. The 14 only supports eSim. Went to the tracfone activation site and it indicated that eSim is supported on the 1he 14 but about 30 attempts to download the eSim from the activation site all failed. Called tech support about 15 times over a two period but no one could help as they really have no technical skills. Even worse they would just make up stuff thinking that I was naive and would fall for the lies. Here are sine examples of what they told me "This is an Apple problem and I needed to talk to Apple", "Tracfone does not support eSim", "There was. a computer problem on their side causing these failures". It was so sad. I know the reason it failed is because Tracfone needed to register the 14 IMEI to their system but this was way beyond the ability of anyone at Tracfone to understand. After two days of getting nowhere I decided that it was time to switch carriers. I ported my number to Consumer Cellular and the phone was up and running with the downloaded eSim in 15 minutes. If you decide to go with Tracfone just note that you will not ever get any tech support as they don't have anyone there with that skill.Review fromSol G

1 starTracfone has the worst ******** Services Ive ever dealt with. After several years of the worse customer service whenever I called, I decided to switch carriers. I wanted to port the phone number. I was hung up on several times. Then, my new carrier did a three way call and after being on the call for more than one hour and not being helped, I beefed up getting a new number. The next battle was having Tracfone stop charging me. I was even insulted on one of my phone calls. After paying two additional months of service I did not use, I was able to figure out online how to stop auto payments. No thanks to their non ******** Service representatives, I was able to get out of Tracfone.Review fromLorraine D.

1 starSeptember 7 I bought a TracFone online. Received it a week later and have been trying to get. it connected to my current telephone number that I have been using for years at TracFone. I have spent hours, days on the Internet, on the phone with their customer reps. ** phone is not yet connected to their cell service. They collect the same information every time, tell me they have run into problems, call me back after an hour or so saying they are having the same problems, etc. To no avail. What is the problem? I have plenty of time left on my current service. They have my account information. I don't know where to turn. 1 starDO NOT BUY FROM TRACFONE EVER!On 10-3-2022 I bought a basic ********************** with the service plan for $15 a month. I paid for both online. I couldn't buy the ********************** without my mom's phone number being put in, in case of issues as well my email address and my home address. ********************** my ********************** payment.was pending the moment I paid it. I never got in my email a confirmation number or order number nothing saying I bought a crappy **********************. I was in emotional distress and am currently in stress distress, I have high blood pressure and am on pills, I wish I could sue ********************** for all of this distress.I called today oct. 5, 2022 they couldn't find my order at all, not even with my mom's phone number or my mail address. I will call back and see if they can find it with my home address. Wth is the point of all that information being given at checkout, if it cannot be used to find my order!!!!!??!This company has literally stolen $36.95 from my checking account. ********************** needs to be taken off the market and the company shutdown!! 1 starMy elderly sister-in-law said that TracFone told her that her 6 year old flip phone was no longer going to work on the new *************** and they sent her a new Moto g pure phone. She asked me to activate it and have her number and 114 minutes transferred to her new phone. No problem, right? Wrong! TracFone customer service is an absolute joke. I spent over 5 hours in 7 different phone calls (they kept hanging up on me while waiting for a transfer) and got the same lie every time. They could not authenticate the account. First, they said I gave them the wrong *** number and couldn't send me an authentication code because the old phone no longer worked and the new phone couldn't send or receive calls or text. I asked them to send the number to the phone I called them from (my personal phone) but, they would not because that number isn't associated with her account. Each time I called I had to explain the entire situation again and each time I was told the same thing. Finally, the 4th person I talked to said it was a technical issue and that he could definitely help. After trying several different things, he said he would transfer me to the "highest technical support" and if I got cut off, just call back and ask them to transfer me to the "highest technical support". Then he put me on hold and they hung up on me for the 4th time. I called again... Same result, except this time the "manage" said that the *** I had given them several times was correct this time. Now, we're getting somewhere. Nope... Now she wanted two phone numbers that had been called in the last 60 days, but not in the last 72 hours. I asked my sister-in-law and she only had 5 contacts in her phone. Her son, daughter-in-law, my brother and her sister and myself. I gave all of these numbers to the "manager" and she said NONE of them matched her records. Impossible! It's the only phone she has and we are the only people she has called. 1 starUnbelievable. I have had Tracfone for years and been if not wildly happy with the service, ok with it. Until today. The cycle of ineptitude they've had me in today really has been jaw-dropping, even for the insane cyberspace customer disservice world we live in now. I thought Tracfone had provided the worst service ever after two hours being cycled around from one incompetent agent to the next for two hours this morning; I had called to find out what happened to the new phone I had ordered from them last week. They had charged my credit card $108 but after said two hours, no one could even find the order. I asked if they might restore the $108 but no one could do anything, and that was the end of the first two hours. So I did the only clear thing that seemed possible: went to my credit card site and opened a dispute so that I would not have to pay for what clearly I was not going to get. THEN I tried to make a phone call on my old phone. And I was in some strange system that told me I had nothing in my account and therefore no service. In fact, I had thousands of minutes and data and text in my account this morning. And now I was being told I had none. Another two hours plus, being cycled around through hapless agents who could do absolutely nothing but keep me on the phone and after 45 minutes suggest a call back; this happened four or five times -- I lost track; but I do know that absolutely nothing was done. Nothing. Oh, and the callback calls always put me on hold -- one time for 12 minutes. One wonders how we expect to be treated decently when we accept such treatment. So now I have no new phone, and no service at all, and I have been robbed of the thousands of minutes, data and text that was in my account. 1 starFor a pre-paid phone they don't make it easy to do instant add-ons. One day I had plenty of minutes and then for the next month I couldn't figure out why I was having so many issues with incoming and outgoing calls while texts were working and all outgoing calls went to a Smart Call customer support phone tree that offered no option for me to get to anything other than something like buying a new phone. Since I had a home phone I used that in place of cell but have no idea of calls missed the past month which include calls related to IRS tax issues I urgently need resolve. I checked blocked numbers and account balance on calls when I realized I was having issues. Soon after I noticed I had ZERO minutes (it was like they were erased) and no easy way to refill through their app or website for me to track daily. No way I used the minutes that were attached to my phone since I don't spend that much time on it. Literally can go full week not talking on cell (I still have a Land Line). If I could get an auto statement on my phone that shows calls and minutes and balance for calls placed/received and minutes/charges related I would have no argument. Why isn't that offered? They obviously have the information since it is used to determine minutes used. Why is that not an opt-in option for phone owner? **************** outside of sales is non-existent/impossible to find. I've been thrilled with TracFone for years but sometime within 2022 things seemed to go bad. I'm still with them because I should have a boatload of credit with them. I am still out of minutes at this time but am thinking of switching if things don't get figured out. Pre-paid worked so well for a minimal user like me that shouldn't have to pay over $30 or $40 / month for call service I seldom use. Text options have been great though.Review fromJanet L

1 starTracfone is the worse. They took my money and sold me a ***** card that did not fit the phone that they sent me. They told me I had to buy another card. I did. It too did not work. They said they would send me a replacement, it has been a month, I have still have not received a replacement. I called. All the representative wanted to do was sell me another ***** card. She stated she did not have a supervisor. This is hours of time and no resolution.Please warn consumers not to use Tracfone.Review fromJoseph C

1 starTracFone is the worst company I have ever encountered. 17 phone calls, and I have yet to resolve my issue. Senior management should be fired and then rot in h*** CDRs are prohibited from seeking help to resolve an issue TracFone is text book of how NOT to run a business
