      I have used TracFone for years, keeping the same phone number all that time. Within the last 10 days, my service stopped working. I called customer service from a different phone. The representative claimed my TracFone number was never in their system, and would be happy to provide a new phone number, and cost me more money (with me losing all the money I paid for over a year of service just a month ago, as well as my remaining "minutes"). While on the phone trying to figure things out, all of my verification methods were somehow "incorrect" with the exception of the last 4 digits of the debit card I used to purchase air time, then they claimed I didn't purchase any air time.Needless to say, I am done with this company.

      FRAUD and INCOMPETENCE. Everyone should sue TracFone... and I see there's even a massive class action lawsuit against them. I had been a Walmart Family Mobile customer, and my account was purchased by TracFone. They sent me a new SIM card with the promise of a free month of service. Meanwhile Walmart charged my Visa for a month and applied it to some bogus phone number outside the USA. TracFone has no record of my payment. Walmart says they have no record of my payment, even though it's in my account AND posted to my bank account. TracFone is a scam. I've lost 6-8 hours on phone and chat with their reps outside the US. Each one promises, lies, and then nothing changes. Today I will find another provider and I urge EVERYONE to do the same. Let's put TracFone out of business.

      I purchased *********************** phones from TracFone for $200 a piece and they were going to give me ****** account points for the purchase. After waiting two moths they never added the points to my account. I tried to use their chatting service and after two operators disconnecting on their own the third guy said "well your phones not active so you automatically forfeit the points" nevermind the fact that I was using said phone to message him. I decided to try the phone line today and after getting one person saying you will get the points the next manager on the line said no to my request even though the prior manager said it was ok. I wish this company would stop acting in such a disorganized fraudulent manner.

      Found ******* OneTouch TracFone. Called TracFone Customer Support to ask them to Notify Owner. Introduced myself and I informed the TracFone Rep I found a Phone and needed assistance notifying the owner. The TracFone Rep, responded Great and Hung Up.

      Tracfone sucks! On 2/12/-23, I bought a 90 day card, scratched the numbers on the back of it off, called their # then (with previous time included) had now over 700 min. and over 90 days on it. THEN the fone wouldn't work so I called them on a landline where they gave me their Tenn. address. Paying *** $18.44, I mailed my faulty fone to them on 2/13/-23 and it was received at the loading dock at: Tracfone-Warrex ********************************************************** on 2/17/-23. Meanwhile on 2/16/-23, I got an envelope from them to mail the fone I already sent! Nobody told me that they were sending a ppd. envelope when I originally called their "helpline" when they gave me a 4 digit security code. After calling them numerous times and hours I was given a FAKE TRACKING #, SAYING A NEW OR ********* WAS MAILED. Of course *** couldn't find it. i was also.told to go to tracfone.com where they said to give them the security code and they said it was invalid! This company only cares about $$$ and not a rat's A** about their customers, EXCEPT FOR GATHERING PERSONAL ID! I'm guessing someone in ********, ** simply STOLE IT, FIXED THE PROBLEM AND MAY EVEN MAKE THREAT CALLS OR WHATEVER USING MY NAME! WHAT WILL THE BBB DO TO HELP?!?

      For the last several months Tracfone has provided nonexistent online service. No way is it possible for me to add text or data to my plan online as I always get the Alert message to call the 800 number. The phone automated service puts the customer through hoops to get to tech support. Then, there are NO native English-speaking employees and anyone with a hearing impairment cannot comprehend their rapid-fire English phrasing. One agent actually hung up on me when I asked her repeatedly to speak more slowly instead of shouting which is what she was doing. When I called the next day, after going through the usual phone checks, I was finally transferred to a fairly well-spoken agent who addressed my problem satisfactorily, but that was after making calls to Tracfone that amounted to well over an hour of my time. Tracfone is generally unsatisfactory in the manner in which it provides service. Having used them for almost ten years, I see the gradual decline in customer service, both online and through their 800 service! Additionally, there is no link on their website to provide a review. I wonder why!

      On Feb.28th , 2023 at 1pm I had gone to TracFone's WEB site to enter a new one year service card which I had purchased. ($111.99)BEFORE I STARTED I noted the minutes still on the phone ***** MINUTES . but this card was not only adding minutes to the **** it was to add the 1 year of air time.AFTER entering the card's information, I received website notification. that **** minutes would be added to my card. BUT this never happened. The phone stopped working, the new minutes never appeared. AND THE ***** on the phone with 8 different representatives. "HAVE NOT", corrected the problem of lost service, minutes, and extensive time / hours, attempting to find someone that could help us. ADDITIONAL MINUTES NEVER APPEARED IN MY BALANCE. AND I LOST COMPLETE SERVICE. I HAVE SINCE SPENT 3 DAYS ON PHONE CALL HOLDS, AND STILL NO ANSWERS. STILL WITHOUT SERVICE MARCH 2023 their IT and customer service DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

      If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I have had TracFone for several years - they used to be good early on back in the ****s. But since they started in with the smartphones, they have seriously gone downhill. My previous smartphone before my current one could not run any apps successfully without shutting down randomly and constantly was updating itself. It was still covered under the 1 year warrantee, so we went back and forth with TracFone to send me a replacement phone. The "label" they provided via email was not included and the content of the email which should have enabled the shipper to just type things in and create the label was invalid. So WE ended up paying to ship the c*** phone back to TracFone. Months go by - no replacement phone shipped. When we called customer service to inquire - they had no idea where the replacement was/didn't know they were supposed to send us one. So I threw my hands up and ordered just a cheap one to get by which was doing fine until a few days ago...I go to purchase data and a plan on the app with rewards points. The points are deducted and the service date changes, but NOTHING is added. I am at my **** end and my husband and I both will be looking for a better wireless carrier that is still reasonably priced.

      Tried to switch service to a new smart phone. It's been two days and many hours per day on the phone with no luck. The old phone has been deactivated, but they cannot get the new phone's mobile data working. Still no phone service. On hold for 30+ minutes for a rep, work with that person for 30mins to an hour, then they have to transfer me to someone else, the call gets dropped and I have to start over at the beginning. Terrible service and no option to go to a store. I am doing this for another person and am so frustrated. This is unbelievable. How do they keep selling phones!

      After twenty years with tracfone, I am now discusted. purchased new fone from them have not been able to activate. tried again through their website. Now neither new or old work. So I cant call them. No email address on web site. Tried to chat. told I was 396 in line. gave up. go email address through BBB Sent email but it would not go through. Don't know what to do now. Guess will write to tell I wont pay and dispute through CC compAny. Have to buy another phone. DISGUSTED ***************************
