      Tracfone is great in a lot of ways but their offshore customer service is definitely not one of them! Every time I have to call them, which is not very often. I just cringe. Trying to understand what their representatives from ***** are trying to say. Their broken English and heavy ****** accent is really hard for me to understand. And no matter which one you get, they all have this scripted response no matter what you tell them the problem is. Tracfone could do much better. Move your customer service back to the states!!!.

      Even if the phone was free, I would NEVER advise anyone to purchase a @tracfone. I spent the last 4 days going back and forth with over 20 non fluent representatives that was not knowledgeable about their job and could care less about assisting anyone. Customer service is apparently not a concern for this company which was apparent when on multiples calls I could hear peoples televisions and co-workers laughing in the background. Between being transferred and hung up on I gave up. All I wanted was to transfer my number to a new phone. NO ONE COULD HELP. The only thing they was capable of doing was change my phone number which was NEVER requested which created a greater challenge to transfer the number. @tracfone need a better balance of employees that could speak more than spanish! Everyone had an accent that was difficult to understand.

      I have been paying for Straight Talk phone service for my sister-in-law who is in a nursing home in Knoxville, TN. She now suffers from dementia and has been unable to place calls on her phone for over two months, and now has lost the phone. In attempting to stop the phone service, I am required to know multiple pieces of information to "confirm" the account. Straight Talk acknowledges that MY credit card has been paying the account. They are requiring a PIN which we do not know, and my sister-in-law is not capable of remembering or identifying. The information Straight Talk has regarding her birth date and the security question of "on what street did you live as a child" are WRONG, as we KNOW the CORRECT answers to those questions. Straight Talk asked for TWO phone numbers which she has called in the last 60 days (during which she has placed NO calls) and will not check back any further to confirm numbers that we KNOW were called within the past 4 months. Due to these circumstances, Straight Talk REFUSES to allow the account to be terminated and payments stopped, in spite of my credit card being the source of payment for the account. In my opinion, this company engages in unethical business practices by refusing to allow this now NON-ACTIVE account to be closed.

      Good phone service. Good prices. Good phones. However, I am not a heavy user. Works well as an Android phone where WIFI is available.ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I do not believe that ********************** gives their customer service personnel the authority to do much and probably requires them to respond from a script, which may or may not be relevant. If you have an issue, give their customer service a try. If they do not resolve the issue in the 1st or 2nd try, do not waste your time as you will not be compensated for your time. File a complaint with BBB. Tracfone will respond from their "corporate office" that does have the authority to do more. Be sure to take screen shots of all relevant info, for instance, info available from your online account. Do this BEFORE and AFTER agreeing to anything; I take these screenshots periodically just in case. This info will be respected by BBB. This will not be respected by Tracfone customer service. Good Luck!

      This company is AWFUL. I was on the phone 2 hours. After being transferred to 9 representatives my issues are still not resolved...the last rep hung up.

      ZERO STARS! On 21 Mar 2023, I called Straighttalk customer service to inform them that someone had stolen my father's (85 years old) debit card number and fraudulently opened an account with their company. I spoke with a rep named **** ( I will assume she made that up and wouldn't give me a last initial). With my father on the line, we gave her the entire card number and asked that it be removed from the opened phone line and flagged as fraudulent. She then stated she needed the phone account information. After explaining several times that there was no way we would know the account number because the thief wasn't going to inform us he opened a card with the stolen card number, she stated that she could not remove our card number from the account OR **** it fraudulent. We asked if she could at least give us the city it was opened. NOPE, privacy reasons for the THIEF. (Like we could find the person with the name of a city) She THEN proceeded to tell us she sent a text to the phone and to give her the code she had sent. AGAIN, we told her we did not have the phone as it was opened fraudulently with a stolen card number! After asking to speak to the supervisor, she said they were all trained the same, and she would not transfer me. I asked her to at least **** the account as fraudulent until we could contact our bank (after bank hours); her response...she hung up on me. We do not have an account with these folks, but I tell you, I would NEVER let anyone I know have anything to do with this half-witted sham of a company.

      My ******* Tracfone stopped letting me make or receive calls and I have contacted them by phone 8 times and went thru at least 1 hour and when they could not fix my problem they said they would call me in 30 minutes and never did. Then I contacted Target who sells their products & one of the clerks called them and worked on the phone for 2 hours and still they could not get it fixed. I bought a second sim card from them and today when I tried to get it activated it was impossible because they said I needed a code which was sent to my unworkable phone so I could not go further so I contacted them in chat room and they cut me off after getting info . I am paid up thru July 15 and they refused to give me refund or fix my phone. They only have one phone so you wait long periods to get to them and then the above happens. Tracfone is currently owned by ******* and they said several times it was their fault.

      I bought a cell phone from Email sent to me by Trackfone unable to buy extra warranty (thought maybe I had to wait to buy when turned on). The phone was advertised as NEW received phone in generic white box not in store Motorola box seemed odd . Still tried again to buy warranty several diff. times and was keep on being told phone NOT Eligible. Why was it really a reconditioned phone. 2 weeks in slips out of jacket pocket cracks screen but still works fine. 4 weeks later unplug in morning and black screen even with help from customer service unable to get screen working sill says hello moto and preset alarm goes off but no screen . After fighting with them and a few failed email airbill attempts get them to mail a airbill via UPS arrived Mon, Feb. 6th 2023 mailed back next day received by then Feb. 9th at ** ****** **. warehouse at 9:43am inside delivery. Have fought with them ever since no being a advertised new phone I'm sure it has a warranty longer than 6 weeks even had 2 calls from so called corporate customer service promising things that never happened. First ticket # omit and 2nd ticket #omit given by ****** . They have basically stolen my cell Phone

      Tracfone customer service will transfer your call after they say "no problem" and then they hang up. Especially if your trying to get a refund. After they transfer you, the rep doesn't let you speak. They say no thanks and hang up. It's really a joke that a company like this has no problem getting away with this. Seems like it's their policy. Once they get your money there is no way to even communicate with them Real sad!

      TracFone has by far the worst Customer Service support available. My senior citizen mother with health problems (to give background on how serious it is for her to have a phone) has a TracFone. She always pays her bills on-time. She called and made a payment on the 7th and on the 12th the phone was deactivated. Thankfully our family checks on her regularly and knew something was wrong when we couldn’t get ahold of her. When we went to her home she let us know she paid on the 7th and then again on the 12th just to try to get it activated again. We called her bank to ensure it went through and both payments had. So I called TracFone Customer Service with her and after 30+ minutes was told they couldn’t see a payment and had to transfer us to the refund department. A representative answer said he saw 1 payment and to call our bank to dispute the 2nd payment. I then asked if he was reactivating her phone and he replied “no she used the plan”. I then asked how she used it when she just paid for it. Didn’t get an answer so asked for a supervisor. He then informed me he was the supervisor. I said I want to speak to another supervisor then and he said he couldn’t transfer calls. Needless to say we called my moms bank disputed both charges and will NEVER give that scam of a company another dime of her money.
