Hello,I purchased a total of 4 (four) Domain Names from Domain.Com. I paid $15.17 per domain total $60.68. They have SOLD my information without my consent. In the last 5 days I have received several phone calls confirming what domain names I have purchased and if I want to set up a website with them. On all phone calls I have told them that I DO NOT WANT A WEBSITE and to please remove my name from their files. I continue to get phone calls still offering their services.I want to cancel my orders and get a complete refund. I also want to be able to buy these domains at another site like GoDaddy.com so whatever they need to do for me to go ahead and purchase those domains I want them to do it immediately as well as REFUND my MONEY.Thank You

Nature of the Complaint: Unauthorized Deletion of Dedicated Server and Data Loss I am writing to file a formal complaint against Bluehost regarding the unauthorized deletion of my dedicated server, which contained over five years of critical data. I did not receive any prior notification regarding the pending payment or the subsequent deletion of my server, resulting in significant and irreparable damage to my operations.Details of my account are as follows:Account Name:******** Account *********** Primary Contact: ( GQVXZDMY )Lack of Notification: Despite being a long-standing customer, I did not receive any emails or communications regarding the overdue payment or any impending actions to delete the server. This failure in communication is unacceptable and a breach of trust.Unauthorized Data Deletion: The deletion of my dedicated server without proper notification or authorization is a severe violation of customer service standards and has caused significant harm and disruption to my business.Violation of Terms of Service: The abrupt termination of services and lack of communication contradicts the customer service policies outlined in **********************'s terms of service. This breach has resulted in substantial damage and operational disruptions.Requested ************************* Recovery: I request the restoration of all data from the deleted server as soon as possible. If this is not feasible, I demand a detailed explanation and any available backup options.Compensation for Data Loss: Due to the critical nature of the lost data and the resultant disruption to my business, I seek appropriate compensation for the data loss and the impact it has had on my operations.Investigation and Response: I urge Bluehost to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and provide a formal response detailing how such a failure in communication and service occurred, along with the steps they will take to prevent such incidents in the future.

I helped run a senate campaign in 2022 and purchased usage of domain Gary4CT.com. After the election, I canceled the subscription (renewal) and closed my account. In 2023, I was charged a renewal for Gary4CT.com. I called them and they refused to refund the renewal of $34.98 but said that they turned off renewals and closed my account. on May 24 of 2024 I received notice of yet another renewal charge of $34.98. I contacted the company and they refused to refund my money but once again said that they turned off renewals and cancelled my account. I am seeking a refund of both charges. I spoke to both ***** and ******* (manager)

In June of 2023, I cancelled BlueHost during a free trial. They charged my card $95.40 after I cancelled the service, which they then refunded. In 2024, BlueHost made 2 charges to my card for the same cancelled services, totalling 89.88 and 19.99. I disputed the charges with the bank since these services were cancelled, and the company confirmed cancellation of the services both in 2023 and 2024. BlueHost fought the dispute and put the charges back onto my credit card, despite promising me that everything was pending and would be refunded. This is a criminal company that is impossible to get away from, and they use illegal predatory billing practices. The federal government should investigate their practices, as it has to cost banks and agencies a lot of money to handle so many disputes.

Recently, I submitted a request to change the email address associated with the account where all three of our domains are managed. However, instead of updating the email address, one of the domains was transferred to another account that uses the correct email address. The other two remained with the account that we cannot access, due to a typo in the account email. No one in the company has access to said email, so we cannot verify it to access the other two domains.

My many support requests have gone dismissed and ignored by Bluehost support agents over the past month, so I am submitting this complaint in an attempt to get somewhere with this issue. Hopefully someone takes this matter seriously, now.

On March 21, 2022, I renewed my Plus web hosting service for 3 years at a cost of $431.64. At that time, the hosting plan included unlimited website space. On November 1, 2023, they changed the terms of my Plus hosting account so that it only included 20GB of space, which wasn't enough for my website. Since I paid for unlimited space for 3 years and was no longer getting it, I requested a refund through their chat support for the remainder of my service. I was rudely refused, and the chat agent quoted their 30-day refund policy. However, I think an exception should be made in this case because when I committed to 3 years of service, I was doing so with the expectation that I would have unlimited space for the entirety of that time (as I had in previous years). Since the service changed so drastically and no longer met my needs, I should be allowed to get the remainder of my money back. (I made it clear that I didn't want a full refund for all three years, just for the time that remained on my account.) I switched to a different provider in January of 2024, transferred my domains and/or let them expire, and I haven't used Bluehost's service since they downgraded my hosting. As of now, they're still holding the remainder of my money hostage.

Updating to say that Bluehost contacted me directly and gave me a partial refund for what was left of my service from the time I filed the BBB complaint until the end of my service term with them. They deposited this directly to my Paypal account, as that's how I'd been paying for the service.

      Thank you for your help!

I created and had a website on Ipage for many years. I received a prompt that my website renewal was due and I paid $558. for 3 year service. I paid for the three years! Later, I was told that I had to pay additional funds to own my own domain name or it would go on the open market in two weeks. Ipage was charging twice the amount of money for the domain than other registers. I also felt cheated because I'd had this website for many years. I tried to pay another company for my domain name, so Ipage would not hold my branding hostage. I page will not allow access to my website that I've paid for the upcoming three years, which no one can access it. I'm told the $558 is non-refundable. This practice SHOULD BE ILLEGAL for I'm getting nothing for my service fee.

Over 10 years ago I began using Bluehost to build Weebly and Wordpress websites. In the past year Bluehost underwent a major Platform shift, and they are now refusing to fix damage they cause to Weebly websites on their platform. My oldest site finefolly.com is not functional as of the most recent domain name renewal on 5-31-24, and I am being told I have to get a Web Master to go onto Bluehost to fix techinical issues and perhaps Malware attack the BLUEHOST allowed or caused. Out of the blue, the website is being redirected to a website I closed down many years ago, which means it is offline. The Tech I spoke to told me that the site is showing all kinds of links and Malware in the background on their Platform. How did this happen unless Bluehost opened the gates and is allowing Weebly Sites to be attacked and disabled? This is the third website that has had failure due to Bluehost changes, etc. It seems Bluehost is causing problems for Weebly websites, and isn't willing to fix them to get rid of them.

I have already filed a complaint about Bluehost, the website hosting platform. In the last few months my Weebly Sites are being disconnected and lost. I got ONE response, sent the info they requested, and have gotten ZERO further support. NOW my main Wordpress website has been hacked, with over 400 spam orders coming through from ******************* Has Bluehost just thrown open the gates to allow hacking on my sites? I have been a paying customer with multiple websites for over 10 years, and this lack of support and hacking is unacceptable.

Greetings! Now that I am reading about HostGator's poor track record, I wish I hadn't signed up for their services. Everything was ok for the first few months, although there were discrepancies in the way they represented themselves, and how they were actually dealing with customer concerns.1. There is NO actual 24/7 phone support as advertised and paid for by me as part of their so called "baby plan".2. The chat or email service is being outsource d to another country, which seems to be *****, and communication problems that arise as a result of that.3. Not even a courtesy call after experiencing a major problem.I have had several websites with different hosting companies over 20+ years, never did any of them 'lose' part of my website. What is even worse is, that it occurred after asking someone of the technical staff to have my second domain, which I recently had transferred to them, point to the same site. After that nothing was working, and the site was completely down. The person responsible just ended the chat when I pointed out the issue. To make matters worse, they then asked me for $ 150 to restore the site. Needless to say, apparently just an attempt to extract more money from me. Needless to say, I felt totally blindsided. This happened almost two weeks ago, and the problem is only partially resolved. Someone managed to reinstate most of the pages, but not the 'store' page. Instead I'm getting more emails selling me other services.Apparently that particular page is nowhere to be found. I asked a developer who told me, it had to be physically erased, for that to happen. Again, I am coming back to my initial suspicion.t
