      I rented a vehicle with sixt on 9/4/24 at the ****************************** and returned the vehicle on 9/10/24. When picking up the car both myself and partner walked around the vehicle. We located a very noticable large scratch on the front bumper. I walked back to the ******************** and told the employee there was a bad scratch on the bumper. Without coming to look at it he said to not worry, all preexisting damage was documented in my rental agreement. We scoured the rental agreement and found that a number of preexisting damages were documented. I made the assumption it was documented as it appeared it was. After returning the vehicle i was sent an accident form with picture as it related to the same large scratch on the bumper claiming it was caused by me. I finding nothing more frustrating or infuriating to be accused of something i did not cause. Add insult to injury also going through the proper motions of bringing it to their attention prior to leaving with the car. Even after explaining in their incident report they seemingly have concluded i am responsible for someone else's negligence. I truly feel this maybe some sort of scam. Perhaps every person that rents that car is getting dinged for the same scratches over and over again. If they investigated this at all i would surely think they would find evidence this was not caused by me. I really would like to know how the car was documented from the previous rental. If the car was fine then the only other conclusion would be their own employees scratched the car. Someone's negligence, not mine is responsible for this. Two conclusions i have going forward, number one dont rent vehicles from this company, and second each and every time take pictures of the entire car inside and out and force their hand to document any discrepencies in your rental agreement before taking possession. Lastly further investigating needs to be made into this company to prevent this from happening to more people in the future.

      I rented in ******** ******. The car I rented they did not have so they gave me a different car. The car was sandwhiched inbetween other cars and parked up against a beam - I coulndn't open the back of the car or walk around it. No one from the company walked the car or said anything about it. We drove the car to a house, parked in the garage then drove it back to the airport when leaving. They are no seaking $960 for a scrape on the car. It is ridiculous and we will not be paying it. I have heard of similar situations with others. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. ******** D (wouldn't give her last name) at Claims said "to bad, your problem"

      Sixt is the definition of con and scam artists. Booked a rental from Sixt through Expedia and was never able to leave with the rental due to me not having the prior knowledge of a credit card was needed for Canadian rental. Sixt never provided a shuttle from the airport then goes and lie and said I was a no show. All of the staff including the CEO needs to be fired this place should be investigated. Sixt kept lying on my behalf to ******* regarding the rental and was basically saying there was nothing they can do when they never provide a service yet they wanted to keep my money and the dishonesty from Sixt was just inhumane. Sixt should not be a business, there a correct ways to go about things and they have zero clue on how to conduct good business. By the way you people are rude as ****, and Sixt is a SCAM ARTIST. Don't ever book with Sixt ever

      I rent a car there smells so bad at the boca location and complaints but nothing was done and I felt discriminated against. Stay away from that location

      On 7/10/24 I paid $524.25 via credit card through Expedia for a SIXT car rental for a trip from the ************** driving to ****** with car pickup on 9/10/24. I arrived at the **** desk on 9/10/24, and the agent advised the car can only be driven in **************** and not ******* (which was my final destination). This was a surprise to me as I had called months before asking someone at **** if driving to ******* was a problem, and was told no. At the *************** desk, the agent showed me the fine print that the car could only be driven in ****************. My hotel reservations were all contingent on my reaching ******* by 9/11/24. The agent said there was nothing he could do and said to call Expedia to cancel the reservation. Expedia contacted **** and an email was sent to me that **** was keeping the entire $524.25 which I paid back in July. We are senior citizens and had no choice but to use another higher cost car rental company. So in the end, we paid $775 for a different car rental, and I'm out $524.25 which **** is keeping. **** very likely double-dipped by renting my car to someone else. My wife and I took this driving trip to celebrate my beating cancer. I had rented with **** before in ************ and the process was pleasant. The experience in ******* left a very bad taste and we will never rent with **** again. No refund at all. A hotel we had to cancel in *****, ******* immediately refunded my deposit for a room even though it was outside the 24 hour window. They used good business sense while **** did not.

      While attempting to check in the vehicle at the *************** location, the attendant started circling previously damaged parts of the vehicle. This is their way of keeping the security deposit. Quite possible they use photoshopped pictures upon renting, then always will have " paint scrapes and scratches" to charge you for.I will never use this company. I will stay with much more reputable and honest companies. Would rate 0 stars if possible.

      Worst f****** car rental place i have ever used. 1000% running a damage scam to make money on the back end. Ive never had one issue with any other car rental i have done. Rent 1-2 a year for about the last 5-10 years, which i do realize . Not 1 issue with any of them. First time using sixt through expedia, all the problems in the world. On top of the ridiculous damage claim, they are Slow. Wasted my time trying to get me to upgrade. No one by the cars to help. Finnally found someone because we rented a car seat as well. Gave me a car seat for a new born that my one year old would never fit in. Provided age and size when we rented it. More time wasted while we waited. All in all just a terrible company clearly trying to scam people at every single turn. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!

      I rented with this company many times and have always had a pleasant experience until this last time in April of this year. After returning the vehicle I received an email saying that I had scratched the vehicle. No before and after pictures just after pictures. I emailed them back stating that I only drive from the airport to a home and to the store once and never was in an accident or was advised that anyone hit the car I took special care to make sure I parked away from other cars and never seen any damage caused by me on car. I requested before pictures of me exiting the rental place when first picking up the rental however no one ever responds. Now all of a sudden months later I receive an invoice stating to pay them almost 1k. I called requesting before pictures as again but instead of sending me the pictures they just send me another invoice adjusting the cost 200 dollars. This is a complete scam and I feel taken advantage of. Where is the proof and if there was truly a concern why cant you provide before pictures and why were you willing to adjust the price. And not to mention the scratches look like its actual just dirt that splattered against the bumper. This is sad because I really liked them at first and never had a problem. But now I will never recommend them nor will I ever rent from them again. They should be ashamed at the way they treat people

      I am being black mailed for additional money from Sixt Rent a car:I returned the rental car in same condition and full tank of gas. Sixt representative went over the car before I handed over the keys. Representative said everything looks good. 2 weeks after I received email about damages to the car. I responded to them by stating there was not damage. They disappeared for additional 2 weeks and now back asking for damage money. I feel like I am being pigeon holed , harassed and black mailed by Sixt rental car. Please have this problem resolved asap.

      Just like many others have said my experience was terrible. I rented a car through a third party website and when we got there they wanted to tack on a bunch of fees when we expressed concern they said that it was no problem we could just cancel and go with a different company. They then assured us that we would receive a refund so we canceled. They have since refused to refund us any money even with a cancellation fee or anything.
