1 starI would truly give Sixt negative stars if I could. I have used Sixt multiple times in the past with no issue. For this rental, I received a notification that we caused damage to the vehicle and have to pay $351. The vehicle was already in bad shape when we picked it up. We took pictures of all parts of the vehicle before we left with it, except the wheel rims. Of course thats where they are saying the damage is. Ive submitted 2 requests via email to see the images of when we left the airport and returned with no response and have called multiple times during business hours only to get a recording telling me I have called outside of normal business hours. Its frustrating because you cant get any additional information from them. I would highly recommend never booking with Sixt.Review fromRandall J

1 starI am filing a formal complaint regarding a fraudulent damage claim issued by **** following my recent rental. I picked up the vehicle on 7/16 from ********************************** and returned it to ***************************** (***) on 7/17 before 4:00 AM. Upon pickup, I thoroughly photographed all pre-existing damagenone of which involved the paint or ******* the time of return, SIXTs own attendant at *** conducted a full inspection, took photos, and confirmed there was no new damage. We both agreed that the vehicle was returned in proper condition. Yet, 11 days later, I received a notice from SIXT alleging new damage. Why was there a delay of nearly two weeks when the vehicle was clearly inspected and documented at drop-off? The photos provided in this claim were taken as the car passed through the return gatehardly a reliable method for assessing vehicle conditionand the link to those images has since expired, conveniently removing my ability to view them again. Even when I did see them, there was no visible damage, let alone anything down to the primer as SIXT claimsno discoloration, no paint variance, nothing.Furthermore, the vehicle was only driven and parked in open, obstruction-free areas while in my possession. There was absolutely no opportunity for the alleged damage to occur.Given SIXTs documented history of similar disputes and involvement in class action lawsuits, I believe this is part of a recurring and unethical pattern. I am disputing this charge with my credit card company, reporting this incident to the Florida Attorney General, and warning others through public reviews on platforms like ****** and TripAdvisor.I am demanding that SIXT immediately withdraw this baseless and deceptive damage claim and cease any attempt to charge me for it.Review fromHeather C

1 starThis company allows booking for vehicles they do not have. When my ex went to pick up the vehicle, they tried to upsell him, doubling the price he was quoted. They claimed that the booking site was for the entire company and not location-specific. Even though it allows you to specify a location for pickup. Instead of matching the price quote, they offered a discount that didn't begin to cover their massive price hike. This trip was for my son to see his great-grandmother in her 80s. Now they cannot go on their trip due to the bait-and-switch tactic of this company.Extremely disappointed that a company would take advantage of people like this. They also did this to the lady in line ahead of my ex. She was in tears.Review fromMelissa M

1 starI rented a car under my name on ******* and paid in full for a package deal with flights. Jet Blue canceled my flight at the airport. ******* arranged new flights and reservations for Sixt. Once we arrived 2 days later Sixt said we had to pay there, I guess ******* didn't charge me again. Which was fine, my husband then gave HIS credit card to pay. I realized later we were charged 2 times since Expedia didnt refund me for the first reservation. I explained I was charged 2 times!! Sixt stated one charge under my name the 2nd charge under my husband name, that we are 2 different people. Like what??? We are a married couple arriving together, why should we have to pay 2 times???? they will not refund me for the 1st canceled reservation when they clearly told me I wont be charged for it. I emailed them copies of everything. Never ever will they get my business again!!Review fromozzy h

1 starHarassment at Sixt On my first day I got lost and she just hopped into my car. This made me extremely uncomfortable.Ongoing belittlement about my body and the way I look, criticism outside of my performance. She made it seem like In order to keep my job I had to like her She asked me personal questions like whats your morning routineStephanie ****** keeps looking over my shoulder and looking at my phone and calendar. She said the training in ********* and ******* and instead went to ***** the same month. I tried to book my trip and it didnt let me go forward. She would keep telling me to stay after close After I said it to her face this is my personal space she persisted with her invasiveness. She would leave out very important information and have me figure it out myself Believe it or not, I was being harassed by ********* ****** on a day to day basis ********* was finding any means to encounter me sexually Inappropriate closeness and remarks about my weight and body Inappropriate Suggestions about my diet The lady asked if it was ok to make herself comfortable In my personal space, she didnt give me a chance to answer her rejoinder. I shouldnt get in trouble for protecting myself and my customers information and most importantly my boundaries. I was simply shielding myself. On the first day I got lost and I felt pressured to non-consensually let her in my vehicle to show me where the parking garage was. Throughout my time working here I got harassed twice, almost raped twice, found my car going off once, vandalized once on the property, name called once by a coworker, found my front plates missing. Not to mention there are two unresolved claims by ***** ******* from HR that I reported to him and he just left me hanging on these issues and never got back to me!Review fromKhalisha W

1 starI am leaving this review due to receiving false damage claims!I recently rented a vehicle from sixt rent a car while in ******* for the Beyonc concert ( 7/10-7/14). After sending me an invoice on 7/17 for rental completion, I received an email from the claims department yesterday 7/27 for $700 worth of damage. Now when I returned the vehicle the attendant checked everything out stated that I was good to go and had me electronically sign. I reached out to customer service during business hours at approximately 10:30am and still received an automated message stating ""You have reached us outside of our office hours, our office hours are 9am -8pm EST".Review fromMary G

1 starPaid for rental in full prior to pick up date.Declined to have them refuel upon return.Returned car 6 hours early, with a full tank of gas.Received an invoice two weeks later saying we owed them over $175 for refueling. When we received a receipt at return time showing $0 owed.I WILL NOT EVERRRRR USE THIS CAR RENTAL COMPANY AGAIN.We keep getting threating emails saying they are going to send invoice to collection agency. After I told them that I disputed charge and sent it to our credit card company with all back up documents clearly showing we owed them nothing more.Review fromCrystal S

2 starsUnfortunately for me I left my backpack behind in a rental. I have thoroughly followed the protocol for reporting a lost bag. No one has gotten back to in 3 days. Poor customer service from one gentleman that was just rude. And I have spoke others who were concerned. At least acknowledge that someone is attempting to locate it. My thoughts are once the car is returned, it should be cleaned and prepared to rent out again. There is no way that the person cleaning the car could have missed it.Review fromAdam H

1 starI had a terrible experience with Sixt. I was FORCED to pay in advance to guarantee my car and it guaranteed NOTHING. I did get a car but it was a tiny suv (I requested a 7 passenger for my 5 family members PLUS luggage for a week) The lady at the ************** in ****** was kind but gave our vehicle to the man in front of us.......ive paid for the vehicle.....I then wasted close to an hour trying to make sure our vehicle could hold the luggage and running back and forth. We were scrunched up, our luggage barely fit and had to deal with kids way too close to each other for the 2 hour drive that we made. Terrible experience. Do not recommend unless you want to take a total ****** on having the appropriate car. Our car was very nice but who really cares if it isnt big enough?!?Review fromChandra Sekhar V

1 starI had a very frustrating and suspicious experience returning my rental car with ****. At the time of return, no damages were communicated to me. When I specifically asked the inspector what he was reviewing, he was extremely rude and dismissive, showing me the **** app and claiming he didnt record anything. His unprofessional behavior made the entire return process tense and uncomfortable.Later, I was notified of damage I was completely unaware of something that was never mentioned during the return. This raises serious doubts about when and how the alleged damage occurred, especially since nothing was documented or acknowledged in my presence. I strongly suspect it may have happened after I handed the vehicle back, during or after the staff's ************* make matters worse, the inspector was clearly irritated when I used the **** app to document minor damages during pickup something I did to protect myself. At return, his behavior escalated; he became aggressive, yelling at me to the point that I felt unsafe and had to leave the scene. He outright refused to explain what he was doing or allow a transparent inspection in my *********** only regret is not using my own phone to take photos or video during pickup and drop-off. I trusted the process and the app and I was wrong to do so.This entire experience left me feeling misled, bullied, and unfairly charged. ****s return process lacks professionalism, transparency, and basic courtesy. I expected better, and I strongly urge others to rent elsewhere.
