    Car rental reservation booking was made online and then cancelled once additional fees were requested. In an attempt to retrieve refund, ************************** declined the refund request and instead intents to provide store credit. Services were not rendered and I should be entitled to a refund on a booking that was not honored. Branch manager in ************ location was not helpful and hung up on me several times to avoid the conversation.All I am looking for is the refund of my funds since services were never rendered.

    Dear Better Business Bureau, I am filing a formal complaint against Easirent, specifically the ******************* location, regarding a rental dispute involving myself and my wife, ***** *********. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter, Easirent has failed to address our concerns fairly.Details of the Rental Dispute On July 24, 2024, I booked a mid-sized vehicle through Priceline (Trip# ***-254-465-16). Upon arrival, Easirent had no mid-sized cars available and upgraded us to a KIA **** (VIN# *****************). The agent had ***** sign the Vehicle Inspection form (SOH), falsely claiming no damage. After visually inspecting the car, I found damage to the bumper and driver-side door. I reported this to the agent, who failed to document the damage correctly. I also took pictures and video to support my claim. On July 28, ***** returned the car and followed the drop-off procedures. However, she was misinformed by staff and told there was nothing else to do. On August 6, we received an email from ************* Claims claiming we were responsible for $2,566.65 in damages.Document Discrepancies 1.Initial Vehicle Inspection (SOH): The damage I reported was added after the fact and in the wrong locations.2.Post-Rental Vehicle Inspection (EOH): No date, time, or agent ID was recorded, and ***** did not sign it as she was told she was good to go.3.Accident/Incident Report (AR): Filed on July 31, it falsely claims new damage and accuses ***** of fleeing the scene, which is untrue.Easirent has failed to follow proper procedures, misinformed us, and is attempting to charge us for pre-existing damage.Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt resolution.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I'm glad to hear this is finally over. You can be 100% sure that I will not be renting with Easirent ever again nor do I recommend anyone else do so either. After months of being accused of several incorrect, false, and defamatory claims, the company in question offers a 10% discount? Makes me question the tone of their apology.

    We flew into ********* on Nov.8, 2024, shuttled to the car rental (advertised on *****) the company was called Easirent. We presented our license and credit card. The customer service *** insisted we show a copy of our insurance card (never asked before at car rental counters) We had to call our insurance agent late in the evening to please email our card to us. The ***resentative then put a $500.00 hold on our credit card. Then the manager came over and told usthey had no cars. They made us go through all of that for nothing. We then had to shuttle back to the airport. There were no cars available at any rental agency. We were stranded in the airport for 3 hours. We had p***aid the car and asked Easirent for our money back and we were told, sorry you need to call corporate, called corporate was told they would open a case file and get back to us in 10 days (unbelievable) Still have not received refund

    Cancelled rental request on December 21st contacted business December to check status of refund. The representative state that they needed to get in contact with the rental store to verify request was canceled. They stated the representative hung up on them but would initiate request. I still have not received a refund.

    I can see you booked your rental through Expedia.  Easirent did not charge your credit card for the rental nor did we bill the rental to Expedia.  In your attached notes it shows you were speaking to Expedia directly and they will have to issue you the refund because that is who you paid.

    I rented a vehicle from this company. The vehicle was involved in a minor accident during rental. The at fault party claimed responsibility and the insurance company (*****) paid the claim. The rental company is trying to charge me for remaining balance. Per GEICO the rental company tried to charge $1000/ hour for repairs and other outrageous costs. ***** settled with the company and now easirent is trying to charge me for remaining balance.

    I rented a car on December 12, 2024, and returned it on December 19, 2024, under Rental Agreement No. ******* and Order No. US121224448719DC. Upon renting the car, a $250 deposit was charged, and I was informed it would be returned on December 19, ******* of today, the deposit has not been released back to me. It has now been more than two weeks since the expected refund date, and I kindly request clarification on this matter. Could you please provide proof or an authorization number confirming that the $250 deposit has been returned?

    After reviewing your Rental Agreement, I found that the amount of $250.00 was authorized for security deposit as a pending transaction. When you returned your rental on 12/19/24 the security deposit was released. You will not receive a refund because we never charged you for a deposit; it was only a hold. Normally it takes 3-5 business days for this transaction to reflect onto your account.If by this day you still see the pending transaction on your bank statement,please contact your bank institution

    Easirent has overcharged and not disclosed fees. They most recently charged us $116.74, 6 weeks after our reservation with no notice or disclosure. We made an online reservation on 11/14/2024 in the amount of $195.87. Then they charged us an additional $151.15 for car seat and EZPass on 12/02/2024. Now the most recent charge of $116.74 is showing with no explanation.

    Easirent had me in the shuttle on the way to the off site location when the dispatcher told the driver to return to the airport and drop me and another customer who also had a paid confirmation number reservation. They took me back to the airport asked me to exit the shuttle and left me alone at the airport. Then according to the 800 number customer service representative "Jovy" the location marked me as a no show and kept my funds for a PAID reservation with a confirmation number. Jovy tried to call the location but got no answer. She told me that she "private messaged" the branch manager and would get back with me soon. Now two weeks later, no contact and no refund. What a proud day for this company to leave an elderly man with heart problems alone at the airport 700+ miles from home AND kept my money marking me as a "No Show" even though I was in the shuttle on the way to the location when the dispatcher told the driver to turn around and drop me and another paid reservation customer back at the airport due to not having enough rentals to cover all the paid confirmations.

    Transaction date: July 11th, 2024; booked vehicle and paid $405.77 on-line. The company promised to provide a car for 12 days. I went to the rental company on July 15th, 2024, and was told the keys for the promised vehicle could not be found. I was then assigned another car and was in the process of finalizing that transaction. I was told the vehicle's insurance would be $611.92 for the rental duration. I refused and decided to cancel the rental. I was told that a refund had been issued, that we would receive it in 14 business days, and that they would notify us by email about the cancellation. I never received or drove a vehicle from this rental company. I also never received the cancellation email as I was promised. I have called repeatedly and been given the "run around" by multiple company employees. I need help getting my refund of $1,017.69 because I never received a rental from this company.

    12/5/2024, I Paid ****** online for the car rental from Easirent here in ************, ** . I get there and the employee stated if you are a local rental it will be an additional 500 dollar deposit which was not specified on the website at time of purchase, Did not take the rental , employee told me to call the number on the door for my refund. I called the 800 number they told me they issued out a credit in stead of refund but they will fix it and send my refund on 12/13/2024. I called back the 800 number several times after that date no refund they promised they put in sent it to upper management and I would have an email and refund within days, called back again agent said he didn't see any of that in notes gonna put it through again Mind you, I always ask is this call being recorded. 12/27/2024 called the local branch and the employee was beyond disrespectful, stating the manager isn't going to approve a refund you are out of luck if you don't want the credit. I heard the manager in the background telling him to say this to me so I asked to speck with the manager directly and the manager gave him an excuse as to why he can't get on the phone. Look the bottom line is I am due a refund of 178$. I have not received my money back and it has been a month now. This is unscrupulous business practices , how can you take someone's money who didn't use your rental car??

    Drivers Requirements
    The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years old.  The renter or additional driver must have a valid drivers license for one year. Renters and additional drivers under the age of 25 are subject to a surcharge fee and only can rent economy to full-size car cars. For certain specialty and larger-sized vehicles, the minimum age of 25 years of age applies.
    Drivers License
    The primary piece of identification required to rent a vehicle with Easirent is a valid drivers license. For International customers or using a non-US driver license must provide a secondary form of ID as a valid Passport, Government-issued ID card or International License.
    Points endorsements: Minor offenses such us speeding/traffic signals are acceptable up to a maximum of 6 points. If you have any bans or convictions in the last 5 years please call us before making a reservation.
    Rental Coverages
    Optional coverage is not required to rent a vehicle; however, proof of a current automobile comprehensive, collision and liability insurance policy in the renters name covering injury to third persons or property is required. Optional coverage is available at the rental counter.
    If proof of full coverage cannot be produced at the counter, the renter will be required to buy the appropriate coverage from Easirent. If proof of the renters coverage can be provided within 24 hours of pickup, any unused insurance days will be refunded to the renters card. Verification of pre-existing coverage must be conducted at the branch of pickup.
    Methods of Payment
    We accept as methods of payment most credit and debit cards like ***** **********, ********, and ****************. Please note the primary renter must be the cardholder and have to present a valid card at the counter. Easirent branches do not accept cash, checks, prepaid cards or gift cards as methods of payment.
    Deposits
    A standard $250 deposit is required on a major credit card for any Domestic Renter.
    Local Renters using a credit card are subject to up to a $500* deposit.
    International renters with a round-trip ticket will have a deposit up to $250*.
    The renter must present a valid debit or credit card, and the expiration date must be after the rental due date. The cardholder must be registered as the primary driver on the rental agreement. Debit or Credit Cards are not transferable. The deposit is refundable or released after the end of the rental agreement. (See Debit Card Use section below).
    *Subject to the pick-up location and insurance for the rental.
    Debit Card Use
    Domestic and International Renters: Using a debit card to pay deposit, a Domestic or International Renter must provide verification of return confirmation airline ticket, and an additional ID presented at the rental counter at time of pick up.
    Locals Renters: All Local renters are subject to verification of proof of a current automobile comprehensive, collision and liability insurance policy in the renters name covering injury to third persons or property is required from a primary insurance company. A current utility statement in the renters name and the same address as on the Drivers License, for example gas, electric, cable, etc. must be presented for address verification.
    Local Renters Requirements


    All Local Renters or any renter without a round-trip confirmation airline ticket will be required to show: Proof of a current automobile comprehensive insurance, collision and liability insurance policy in the renters name covering injury to third persons or property. In addition, local renters may be asked for a recent (within 3 months of the rental pickup) cell phone bill or other official utility bill matching their respective drivers license address.
    Renters ************************* on official government business, on military leave, or with an approved CID number are exempt from the local renter policy. Failure to show an acceptable policy will result in the rental being declined.
    Local Renter Vehicle Exclusions: Local Renters are limited to renting the following car classes (sizes) Compact (BA), Intermediate (**), Full size (DA), Intermediate SUV (DAE), Minivan (MZA) and Van (MX).
    Mileage Cap


    Local Renters are subject to a mileage cap of 150 miles per day for all locations. More mileages are available for purchase.
    $10 a day extra 50 miles a day
    $15 a day extra 100 miles a day
    $25 a day unlimited miles
    Please be advised overage miles for the rental period will be charged at .49 per mile.
