      I will never rent from Hertz again. Super unprofessional- a supervisor was supposed to give me a call back tonight regarding my concerns and not one returned my call. The first situation that happens was after making a reservation, the agent told me that there were no cars available- she worked things out and gave me a car. Well, I ended up having to return it because it needed an oil change. I go back and get another car and the second one started to shake after going 40 miles per hour and so I ended up returning it and the third car wreaked like cigarettes. It was super disgusting and caused risk to other’s health having to inhale stale cigarette smoke residue from whom ever rented the car prior to me. Never again. This was a horrible experience and I do not recommend renting with Hertz. CSR is through a 3 rd party and you can’t ever get proper help. These third parties that aren’t even in the nation don’t know what they are doing.

      WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Do no pick car without a picture. It’s an electric car that takes 6-8 hours to charge. Change vehicles at time of pickup, they overcharged me and gave me a KIA that wouldn’t unlock with the key faub, Today when attempting to return the car to the drop off location the car wouldn’t start and I had to wait for AAA and Hertz told me if I left the car I would be responsible for the tow charges. Complete waste of my day. I’ve rented from Enterprise and Fox and had no problems. Read Hertz reviews. They are valid.

      My wife and I rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Hertz in January of 2023 in Winter Park Florida to attend a wedding. Our rental pickup, period, and drop off was great. 4 months after our rental, I received a notice from Hertz that we owed $1100 for a broken windshield. Quite confident the vehicle was not damaged at return, I begrudgingly reached out and asked Hertz to furnish proof that the windshield was broken at the time we returned this vehicle. This seemed liked a reasonable request, as we all know the rental car companies capture plates and images as you enter and exit the garage. 2 months go by, no acknowledgment of my request from hertz, I received another demand to pay with a threat to send to collections. Once again, I submit a request to furnish proof with no response. Now, almost 10 months to the day, I have been notified my account has been sent to collections and that I have been blacklisted to rent a car. As I’ve stated in all correspondence, I am happy to pay for any damages, once I have received proof that said damages were caused by me.

      Had a trip planned with my family to Seattle when arrived to pick up car rental waited in line for 45 minutes when customer ahead not even Hertz representative mentioned that they had ran out of vehicles.he started telling everyone in line waiting the Hertz representative said it could be a 4 to 5 hour delay. Don’t understand at all while booking your car rental you get asked what time you will be picking up your vehicle, if that obviously didn’t matter for that day, had to find a way to get to hotel since my family I had relied on the car rental we booked.waited outside and purchase an Uber.Had also paid for insurance just in case any situation. arrived at 11:58 to airport and attempted picking up vehicle didn’t get to hotel till 3am. Had to then wait for Uber which was an additional 45 minutes. I am very upset with this car rental booking because it was an unsafe for my family and I waiting that long for a car rental and then an Uber the following day I attempted picking up the vehicle and my husband was sleep deprived from the previous night before waiting for the car vehicle that we never received and the Hertz representative let me know I wasn’t able to pick up the vehicle, even though I had purchased it on my credit card since it was under his name. We wouldn’t have had any issues, picking up the car rental if we were able to get it the day prior as promise by the reservation. I then had to call their customer service line and cancel the reservation, because no changes were being able to be made since it was a “past.” reservation and was charged once again, an additional rental fee, and a cancellation fee.makes no sense since this was their fault and I was not advised that vehicles were able to be right now or had even been right now till after waiting for so long I am a pregnant woman and had a child with me and was put in a dangerous situation due to their failure. I have submitted a claim with my credit card company, and hertz denied my dispute

      Made a reservation one month in advance. On arrival the chip reader for their machine didn't work. They refused to imput the card manually and their swipe reader was not enabled. They claimed it was my card. I went next door to Budget. Using the same card was able to rent a car. Hertz turned my $500 rental into a $1200 due to last minute rental from Budget costing that much more. Not to mention going through the trouble of a refund through priceline. Never again.

      This is the second time we have been held hostage by this horrible airport rental business. They’re the absolute worst!!! Both times, more than 10 families in line, 20 minutes each family. ONE PERSON WORKING!!! They don’t give a **** about you or your time, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it! You fly across the entire country to get held hostage my the only rental place near Dulles!!! Never again!!!

      i was hit by a hertz rental car driver back in July and I have yet to hear anything from them. my car was totaled and I have been careless for 3 months. tried calling claims and they push me around in circles. currently filing a lawsuit against them. Do not trust this company. They will not help you when it matters most!

      Women at the counter had an attuited from the first moment. False advertainment, made a reservation online total said $233 then was charged hidden fees for a so called hold on my card $620. Then told me I wasn't allowed to put a second driver on my rental. Never using Hertz again

      I rented a car for a funeral for the days of September 1-3. When we got to our hotel we couldn’t get into the car . The key fob wouldn’t allow us to open the car doors ! I called the hertz we picked the car up from which was 8100 Monroe Rd, Houston, TX. No answer. We had to take an Lyft. The next day , we tried to get into the car and same problem! We had to call roadside assistance which they said they would come and get the car ! Roadside also told me to go get another car from the Hertz at the other airport and that they had one for me ready . We took a Lyft a 40 min drive only to be told they didn’t have any available and I couldn’t get a refund because the rental wasn’t closed out! I went back to the hotel with no car and my money still gone . I’ve called hertz every week since then and they have been no help ! I just want my money back

      The worst customer service ever!! If you want to deal with people that just don't care about customer service...this is your place. They do not take any ownership for the company, the services and the care for the customer. They provide excuses and do not show any empathy for the screw ups they make, which affect peoples business. I would not go here for any reason. Beware! Reservations mean NOTHING to them. Be sure to call ahead or you are likely to not have a car available even though...... 1. You have a confirmed reservation 2. They have sent you 3-4 communications telling you when to pick the car up. 3. NONE of the 3-4 communications they send to you include ANY details, disclaimers or other verbiage that a possibility exists that you might not have a car to rent despite the reservation. 4. Unbelievably, the clerk told ME that I need to reach out to Hertz to request that they include such a disclaimer. (not that they would look into it to improve customer service). The customer needed to take action to improve their crappy practices. 5. They send you an email making YOU confirm the reservation 24 hours before. 6. They do not call you and inform you that it is YOUR responsibility to call and see if there is a car available to provide for your reservation. They would not shoot me a quick call to say a car became available to fulfill the reservation. 7. They ask you to call THEM to check on availability regarding your reservation. 8. They don't bother to notify YOU in ANY way that there is not a car for you to pick up despite your reservation. 9. They verbally defend this practice and this deplorable customer approach with no apologies. 10. They clearly don't care if you have obligations, responsibilities, business dealings which require the vehicle they confirmed to be reserved is available or not. I would strongly consider doing business with someone other than HERTZ and definitely stay away from this location. They are inept.
