      The agent at the gold counter at pickup added additional coverage and fuel purchase options without telling me or going over any portion of my rental agreement. She just asked me to sign the pad and insert my card without any explanation. Because I had booked and prepaid the rental through a travel service I assumed the lack of explanation was because all payments were already accounted for. It wasnt until I returned the vehicle that I realized the additional charges werent just a hold as I had assumed. Now Hertz customer service is telling me my agreement is valid but the agent never once explained what I was agreeing to or showed me the agreement. She only said to sign for the credit card hold. Completely unethical business practice by Hertz. This location needs to evaluate its customer service agents and look specifically at the agent that helped me at the gold counter during my vehicle pickup.

      Never renting from Hertz or it's affiliated companies again. They stuck me with a ~$210 toll charge that was never mentioned to me when renting the car. In fact, they didn't walk through any of the rental agreement with me. Apparently it came to me in an email some time later. I used tools on 3 days totaling approximately $20 with of tolls. Also, I wasted hours calling to ask questions about tolls before using a toll road, and was hung up on by one rep and lied to by another. Hertz is predatory in their practices, and should be ashamed of themselves.

      I reserved a sedan with this location online, it was confirmed. When I got there, the lady at the front desk said the only midsize sedan they had needed service. She told me they could put me in a midsize SUV but it would be an upgrade and her manager isn't allowing them to do free upgrades. It would cost almost twice what I'd booked the midsize sedan for, so I told her thanks but no thanks. Clearly bait and switch, right?

      Only put a star to provide a review. Please don't even let this location be your last resort. They never answer the phone and when you go to the location it is clear that it is unorganized and unstructured. Paid for the additional insurance for extra coverage with them. I had a flat tire and I had to pay Triple A to put the tire on. Do NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE WITH THEM IF YOU HAVE FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE... IT IS A SCAM. Returned a car on Saturday morning with the ** *** and he never closed out the ticket. Today is Tuesday I am still getting a daily charge, and they have the car. Went up there to speak to management there was no manager there no one in charge. Left message for a call back and still have not received one. Tried to call them THROUGHOUT the day still no one answers the phone. When I went up there you can hear the phone ringing and the entire team ignored it and didn't answer. There is no one to speak to at corporate and the reps that you do speak to keeps giving the run around. I need my money back from the extra unnecessary insurance that you talked me into purchasing and my money back for the additional 4 days you have charged my card

      I don't think I have ever experienced such a bad course of events with a company ever. This is the last time I will ever rent from Hertz, they are absolutely garbage of a company that have no sympathy towards their paying customers. I rented a vehicle which was meant for my civil wedding ceremony in Aug 2023 but 1 day into my rental, I tested positive for COVID so I had to start cancelling everything. Every single vendor that I had for my wedding, hotels, etc. was accommodating and worked with me to either refund the money or reschedule except for Hertz. When I first asked how I can get the car back, they gave me a huge "company policy" that I had to get the car towed to Hertz. I initially received a quote of $1,500 to tow the car!!! This is for a $300 1-week rental and I had to pay $1,500?? So I hung up because this was absolutely ridiculous. I proceed to continue calling and receive multiple quotes between $300 to $800, why am I getting quoted different rates from the same company? This totally just sounds like a scam now. Eventually I was able to get to someone reasonable he gave me a quote of $108.88 and even mentioned that I could call into Hertz Billing after they receive the car and to get the $108.88 reimbursed because this is a Hertz "company policy" which totally makes sense, why does the customer have to pay extra to return the car? I can easily just drop off the car and pay no extra money. Eventually the car is returned and for the next 2 weeks, I called Hertz multiple times and every single person said that the money is not refundable and that I would not be able to get the money back. This goes against what the representative told me which is a total breach of consumer trust. I go ahead and file a chargeback with my credit card and then 2 months later now, I receive a bill from Hertz for the amount again. You're a multi-billion company and you can't let $108.88 go from a customer who had COVID and just wanted to return the car early to you?

      My rental contract was not extended properly. They were quick to up charge me and were adamant about keeping that up charge despite everything I shared. Instead a rep removed the late fee charge with some taxes. I received 4 different time frames of when to see the refund on my credit card statement (two were 5-7 business days, a 3-5 business day and 7-10 business day). I found out the first refund was deleted, the second was promised but didn’t go through because of their system and the third one went through. If I didn’t stay on it I would have never known about the first try until weeks/months later. I filed a complaint but no one ever contacted me. I asked to speak with a supervisor and missed their call. When I asked to speak with again the rep questioned why and added that I was getting a refund so they didn’t understand what was my problem. They then told me that my refund would be visible on my statement within 24-48 hours. I never received a call about my complaint nor a follow up call from a supervisor. I used to use this company when I was a consultant (my preferred choice). Never again based on my recent experience.

      First, never prepay for a Hertz rental months in advance. I did in February for a September rental and then had to change card numbers because of fraud on my card. When the day of the rental came the Herts representative asked my to put the card I used in the reader then complained the card did not match the card I used back in February. I asked why if I already paid for the rental 7 months earlier did I need to produce the card. I had my Drivers License and passport with me. To get a car they forced me to pay again with the new credit card and gave me an 800 number to call when I got back to request a refund of the February transaction. A month has gone by, I have received no refund, called this 800 number 3 times and every time I request to speak to a supervisor I am told none are available. I was told on October 16 that the refund has been waiting supervisor approval for the last 2 weeks and should be done in 2 more. Yes, and cows fly!Went back to the bank that issued my card and opened a dispute and currently have a temporary credit while they investigate.

      With Hertz, if you return your car early, you pay an early return fee. For me it was $75.00 because I returned my car 5 hours early. It would have only been $45 if I returned it a day late. According to the customer service rep at Hertz this was to “protect the company” as they had too many people returning cars early and expecting to get a reduction in rates. I was speechless.

      I would rate Hertz more stars for their convenience (available at most locations) and cheaper rates but will not longer be using them going forward. I've been a Hertz President's ****** member since 2018 and have been loyal every since. However, I was mistakenly placed on the Do Not Rent (***) list which they did not notify me about - instead even with a confirmed reservation, I found out at the Hertz location when I tried to pick up the vehicle Oct 2022. After numerous phone calls (redirected from one department to another) and Hertz customer care emails, they confirmed that they would rectify the error and I have been removed from the *** list in Jan 2023. I reserved a vehicle online (confirmed via Hertz) Oct 2023 just to find out at the airport pick-up again that I am still on the *** list and their *** phone number is closed for the day. The Hertz representative advised that I have no other options to rent a vehicle.

      Just look at the bogus charges Hertz' added to my bill. they need to be investigated. This would be a great story on 60 minutes or one of those types of shows. This is really disgusting. Will never never never rent from these crooks again!
