      I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Hertz *****, and I feel compelled to share my negative experience to alert fellow travelers, especially those from *****************, about a situation that I can only describe as a scam.I rented a Tesla Model 3 from Hertz *****, and upon receiving the vehicle, I was dismayed to discover that it had significant damage. However, the Hertz ************* me that all the damage had been duly recorded. Upon returning the vehicle at the end of my rental period, I was shocked to learn that I was being charged an exorbitant 120 euros for what Hertz ***** claimed was a scratch on the "rubber" of the passenger side mirror. I immediately protested, expressing my disbelief that I had not noticed or caused such damage during my rental.To further dispute this seemingly unwarranted charge, I requested proof that the alleged scratch did not exist before I rented the vehicle. In response, Hertz ***** provided a photo that was, quite frankly, impossible to decipher. Frustratingly, my efforts to contest this unjust charge did not yield the desired outcome. I reached out to Hertz ***, hoping for a resolution to what felt like an ******* scam. Regrettably, their response was disappointing, stating that I had signed the rental agreement and accepted the charges. However, I maintain that I was misled from the beginning by the assurances of Hertz ******* staff regarding the pre-existing damage.I chose Hertz for my rental car needs in ***** due to its reputed reliability and professionalism. It is disheartening that a reputable international car rental company such as Hertz allowed such a questionable practice to occur.In light of my experience, I urge fellow travelers, particularly those from *****************, to exercise caution when dealing with Hertz *****. My hope is that my unfortunate experience can serve as a warning to others, preventing them from falling victim to a costly scam.

      I booked with Hertz through a third party, when I arrived they told me the car that were giving me was an electric car, which I didnt booked. I told them I couldnt charge the car so they offered what they had having to pay almost twice of what I had booked for. Thats a TOTAL SCAM The employee was nice but not good customer service. He lost a client! That is a lost in both parties.

      Complete liars, deceptive, deceiving monsters. They lure you into a cheap car and when you get there the car is not there and they try to get you to spend a ton of money on some other car you didnt want.

      Zero stars. This company cheats customers and lies about charges. I asked for a simple plan. I was told i had the simple plan, told to sign the screen for it. When I got the receipt I saw that she charged me for a premium plan and additional charges. I asked her to change this to the simple plan and she said that those charges would fall off. When I called Hertz 7 times to correct they told me there was nothing they could do because of the screen I signed without information. I will never trust this company again. Rent with anyone else.

      I asked for a prepaid fill up as I have in the past. It was not added to my contract.Id never had an issue doing this in the past.Much to my surprise I was charged$10.56 a gallon for gas.Ive tried in vane to pay what I feel I actually owe and not the gouged price.No one will help.

      Can I leave negative star??? Our car broke down on us the first day of our trip. I had to spend time taking it to a repair shop and then finding a location to drop it because they could not fix it. There were no cars available so we had to **************** to get a car (who had amazing customer service btw!). Everything I did was documented with a Hertz employee by phone! When I got my credit card statement, they charged me TRIPLE! It took me 4 phone calls to get it reduced to $85 because we used it for a day. I realize it's only $85, but it cost me time from my vacation and time once I got back home to deal with this fiasco! They owe me money for the hours I have spent!! That $85 is going to cost them. I am leaving a negative review on any location I can. If they would have worked with me, they could have earned a customer for life. But because they were *****, they have earned an adversary! Never doing business with them again!!

      I've been renting cars from Hertz for 10 years. I use to get my cars from ******************** in *******, eventually I started going to the office in Belmont Cragin on Belmont Ave. I have always received great outstanding service from this office. The staff is extremely nice and have always been helpful. I do have two recommendations though: the car needs to be cleaned better as this last rental I found food and the staff needs to be educated on the cars more so if the customer has questions about some of the instruments and tools.This last rental, I learned something new. I called the Hertz 800 # to rent the car; I learned the prices are higher vs going directly to the office. I was so disappointed in Hertz for doing that. I will never call the 800 # again, and instead will walk into the Hertz office and do my bookings that way but I will compare the pricing between the two. I was paying $850 for a rental I had reserved, I wanted to add a day and Hertz 800# quoted me $1,038. I said no but then changed my mind and called back. The price was now $1,300, I said no. I called back later that night, price was now $1,600, I said no. Called back again later that same night and was quoted $2,100. The next day I called my Hertz pick-up location and received a quote of $100 more, so I would be paying $950. Beware of the Hertz 800#.

      Don't even bother with these criminal, un-******** parasites.I chose this worthless company because they were the only ones working odd hours (Or so I thought).These filthy bottom-feeders don't know what a reservation is - I paid for a medium-sized, normal sedan, and instead got an electric Polestar 2. Besides being an electric, it had large compatibility issues. The fact that this was one of the only models available when I arrived was not a coincidence, as when I tried to learn how to use this automotive transvestite, I got results from Hertz's own ******* channel - an obvious, underhanded cross-promotion ploy to push this useless, Windows Vista-esque trash heap.More than that, I ended up me not needing a day, and was promised that I would be refunded $500. When I got my final receipt, the amount was almost identical - they hide any schedule adjustments you make under a "Voucher Adjustment", punishing you for schedule changes beyond your control - an asinine approach when they have so few cars available as-is. I might as well have recreated the car scenes from **************'s Day Off - or even Breaking Bad - for all the good me taking care of their stupid, nu-"Smart"Car better than them did.What spurred this review is the inexcusable customer service when trying to resolve this matter and get the full refund to which I am entitled and was promised. The mental midget I had to speak with claimed to not be able to find my original reservation, despite me providing all the necessary information - something I doubt when the rat used his single brain cell to **** that he was about to hang up when I was trying to find some more information to do his job for him.I was courteous and trying to understand up to this point, but an obligation is an obligation. I worked customer service, and I know what quality service is not - a characteristic of failure that this pathetic, sickening racket masquerading as a commercial enterprise exemplifies from top to bottom.

      Horrific. My spouse prepaid for a car rental. When we arrived at the location they were closed with a sign on the door that stated they had no cars. Customer service is saying we can't get a refund for 7-10 days even though we need the funds now to rent a car. Terrible customer service.
