      I rented a vehicle from Hertz last week for 9 days. The woman who was in charge of the rental process was rude and nasty to me the entire time. It seemed as though she didnt want to rent to me because she was extremely prejudice against me as a white person. She is begrudging rented to me the entire time. When I returned the car, she went to check out the odometer and condition of the vehicle. She returned back inside only to announce she smelled smoke in the car from cigarettes. I DONT smoke and no one else was in the car the whole period of renting. I was embarrassed and humiliated by her treatment towards me again. She alerted a black woman, the same race as she was and they started whispering about what to charge me for this false claim. They both practically attacked me with harsh words that if I didn't pay 250 for the smoking they would raise it to 500. This insulted my integrity and character about a lie being created by them to accuse me of something I DID NOT do. This is against my civil rights and it is illegal to forcefully charge another and threaten to increase the charge if I didn't pay it. I want the ****** taken off my credit card and an apology from the corporate office or I will proceed to hire representation.in this matter and take it to court. I have rented from Hertz for years, always been on good terms and have a business where I drive large groups on trips locally. Never have I had a complaint. about one of my rentals.. The treatment from Hertz that I received on this rental was unacceptable and against my principles and character.

      Worst experience/salesman ever. Do not rent from here/ from the TWO AFRICAN GUYS that work there. I had a reservation 3 days in advance through Uber to rent out the polestar vehicle. Once I arrived there the representative stated the car was there and ready to drive but not listed to drive to Uber (NOT TRUE). He had me wait 2 hours just to linger around and pretend to call around. I call another hertz location but they didnt have the car available at all. So I planned to return to the original hertz location at **************** in ************** or wait for his call which never came. I then call Uber to inquire if its something on there end and they stated if the car was available when I reserved it then it was ready to go. I then called hertz directly and they were confused as to the delay as well and told me to return to the location and left notes for the representative. Once I arrived back the representative was still completely disconnected, aggressive, and un helpful. He then stated that if I fixed the car he could rent it out to me. This had NEVER BEEN MENTIONED all day, from him or the customer service agents. He then told me he was not going to rent to me at all, just for me questioning the information being told to me & would NOT PRESENT HIS NAME. He told me to find it.

      I have been unable to log into my account for a month. I've contacted support multiple times & have not received any resolution.1. They don't provide a reference ticket or email updates. 2. They say "It's been escalated" but don't do anything to resolve 3. They say it will be completed or a response in a certain period and then it never is. All they've done is try to do password resets but that hasn't resolved the problem.

      Hertz has the worst ******* customer service I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. I have rented 15 times in the past 4 months an average of 4-5 days each rental. I am a "GOLD" member and they still cannot ****** my membership. I have called over a dozen times and sent numerous emails using their "Customer Support" page. Good luck on trying to get through on the phone. I should be at Presidents status by now. I check my status... nothing. My loyalty points... nothing. Every time I do get through to someone, they assure me that it will be fixed within ***** hours. STILL NOT FIXED. The only reason I use them is because my corporate discount; company wants to save money on expenses. Save yourself some grief and use National or Enterprise. At least they have responsive, competent customer service.

      Hertz manger that was on duty today 11-13-2023 in *** Airport @ 3:45 pm had a nasty attitude with my daughter. My daughter had just turned in her rental car and left her garage fob in the car. She went back to the desk and they claimed the car wasn't there. My daughter asked for corporate number and they refused to give it to her. She also asked the manager for her name and she said why. The names they gave her was ************************* and *************************, we're not sure if these are their correct names. It's a shame when Black people have attitudes and be unprofessional , if you don't want to assist the customers find another job. Im not being racist, because we're black women to. Obviously you're not a people person and nor do they have customers service skills. They didn't care when she told them she needed it to get in her garage, because she left her house keys in the house. Therefor she was stuck at the airport for a while waiting for her son to get off work with her extra key. This needs to be addressed immediately by an upper supervisor ASAP. STOP LETTING PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH NOT DOING THERE JOB.

      I had a rental car from the Memphis Tennessee airport location and drove it an hour to Mississippi. On the way back, the car started to feel a shaky to me, Then, on a very dark rural two lane highway, the car went into limp mode, and I could not drive it past 40 mph -the car started to behave erratically- this occurs in a car when there is a serious problem like brake failure. , Thankfully, I was able to get it to a gas station and immediately called Hertz. First they tried to tell me to just drive the car anyways for an hour all the way to Memphis. When I refused, indicating it would put my life at risk, they said they would send a tow truck in an hour. Instead of the tow truck coming in an hour, it came 3 hours later. A 5 ft tall female, I sat and waited in what felt like a less than safe location alone in the rain. Meanwhile, the tow truck driver said they couldn't take me or the car to the airport ( I was from out of town and had nobody I could call. Then the Hertz employee tried to make me take a Lyft from the middle of nowhere at my expense. When I pushed back, they agreed to cover the Lyft, only to then acknowledge a few minutes later that Lyft wasn't available in that area- it was a rural zone. They also tried to tell me I should be paying for the tow-truck and I pointed out they aren't supposed to be renting out cars with system failures, so they backed down. Thankfully, the kind tow truck driver brought me to my hotel an hour away free of charge- Hertz thought it was fine to ask me to drive an unsafe vehicle, leave me stranded in the rain in an unsafe area and tried to get me to pick up the financial costs for their vehicle failures. They said they could not do anything about cost of the rental car- even though I did not have a working rental car for about half the rental period. I asked for a receipt since I wanted to see if they tried to charge me for the tow truck, and they told me they could not email receipts.

      Horrible customer service by employee ***********************. Was very rude when trying to pick up a because it was a reservation utilizing my rewards points. I rent weekly from other hertz locations and never issues. However, because it was a reservation redeeming my gold membership points he was being rude, unprofessional all because the reservation was booking with membership points. Hertz should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this type of customer service.

      I would give one star, but I figured this was better. I rented a car from Uber/Hertz. I went to any my weekly rate 362.60. I was told that I owed 723
      I asked why was told my last payment didn't go through. I went to my bank and got the reference number called billing and got it straightened out, so I thought. When I called customer service again, I was told I owed 723. Called the branch that I rented from and got the run around. When I dropped off the car on Tuesday, I provided all the information needed to fix the account error problem. I called and called either no one answered or again I got the run around.
      525.00 was taken out of my acct. So I called billing and was told, my bill should be 362.60 yet them have a charge on my account with Hertz for over 800.00.. the billing department was as confused as I was. Called uber/hertz today and was told nothing could be done.
      I have sent mails to hertz to get not one reply. Confused why on paper they say I owe over 800.00 yet 525 was deducted from my acct. Help

      I've used Hertz for decades for personal and business use. This latest rental experience has sealed their fate. I will never use them again. 1. I prepaid and requested prepaid fuel. At the counter they had no idea that I was going to prepay the fuel. I then prepaid. When I returned the car, they tried to charge me for the fuel. 2. I didn't receive any reward points for my rental. The phone number to call about rewards did not allow me to speak to a person. I sent an email requesting a response. A month later I got a response email telling me to "kindly contact our loyalty department at *****-###-#### Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Central Standard Time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." So how does someone call only during certain times 24/7? Finally got through to a human who explained because I used a CDP, I don't get rewards points. What's a CDP? I asked. A discount. I don't recall using a discount but that was the explanation. I will never use Hertz again.

      The worst experience with a rental car service Ive ever experienced I rented a 16 passenger van to take my family to *********** to my sister funeral after making it there safely the would not go into park or reverse road service towed it the same night they told me to go to neared hertz for replacement about an hour 1/2 away from were I was staying went next day was told no available auto and the van was not there which it was they stated there phone lines were Down and couldnt call before coming for 4 days stranded with my family including children and disabled adults I had to rent from another company to get back to Michigan they did not reimburse me for charges
