      I dont think hertz deserves any stars what so ever their practice are predatory, they are criminals, crooks and bandits these are words that I can disciple them with my experiences, consumers be aware you have been warned.********* ********

      I made the appointment on line on June 8, 2023, for August 5, 2023, was quoted a specific rate,which I paid. My vacation included my elderly Dad, who had triple bypass surgery a year ago & my elderly mother who suffers from leg problems. Both my parents was escorted to and from the plane via a wheelchair. As I retrieved our bags we headed over to the Hertz desk to pick up vehicle. The woman at Hertz asked me if I wanted liability insurance on the car. I told her, NO.that my car insurance will cover that. She proceeded to give me literature regarding if someone was hurt in the other vehicle that I would be held accountable. I said I understand, but my insurance will cover both vehicles. She said, ok and then gave me a sheet (OPTIONAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ACCEPTANCE FORM). She asked me to initial a section that I DID NOT want insurance through them, so I did. She then told me to initial another area, regarding (FUEL PURCHASE) which I elected for. Then she asked me to sign. My parents were both a witness to overhearing my conversation with her, about NOT wanting insurance. She gave me the paper which I signed, a pamphlet, and a receipt. Later that night I saw Hertz was charging $659.00. WHAT!!!! I proceeded to call Hertz with no success. They have the OPTIONAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ACCEPTANCE FORM set up as followed:LINE 2 states you LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER (LDW) _____LINE 3 states LIABILTY INSURANCE SUPPLEMENT(LIS)_______She distinctly pointed with her finger to the 3rd line, and said initial here for NOT ACCEPTING LIABILTY INSURANCE. This is a clear view of consumer deception. I am only liable for the cost of FUEL that was used while I was on my vacation. $57.11 I feel that Hertz has not lived up to their reputation as a rental company. It's truly sad, because I am 60 yrs old, and remember hearing good reviews about them. After my experience with them I will never use their services or refer anyone to this company!!!!!

      The Hertz in ********** ******* has a poor customer service I called the office Friday around 4:30 p.m. to ask a question or ask for a manager and the girl put me on hold for 30 minutes knowing that the office at Hertz car rental and ********** ******* close at 5:00 so I would never do business with this company again unless this woman is fired

      I rented a car at the west Hartford location and can not get my authorization released. They were paid via a different card over 15 days ago. The Corporate Number says is nothing . Just receiving an automated email. Do not do business with this company.

      Got 2 disgusting uncleaned cad seats we had to clean ourselves. When I called to complain they said there was nothing they could do. Then they charged me for 1 gallon of gas even though I filled the car, you have to drive to airport. Whole experience was terrible would never rent with them again.

      I was going to purchase a car from Hertz car sales ************** **. believing it would be a good purchase, since rental cars are well maintained. However prior to purchasing they allowed me 2 hours to have the car inspected by my mechanic, so glad I did!!! because my mechanic advised there was no oil in the car, it couldnt be measured with the dip stick, and when he put it on the Rack. It was leaking oil, nor was there any coolant in the car, Shame on you Hertz..

      Hertz is one the worst companies due to their multi rental department. The owners at the locations over the years were awesome. I only had issues when I called customer service they would tell you one thing they do other but it was ok. They think they are above the rules they can be rude to you but if you reply they cut off your bossed membership. My boss had an account with ********************** for thirty years and he never had a contract with the multi rental ***** who tried to rip him off for $8k and when I had the nerve to call and question the billing the lady told me doesn't your boss know how to read. RUDE. Well instead of looking out for him they get him a contract with the multi car ***** which I personal never heard of until this issue. He rented car on June 14, 2023 and returned it on July 5th the total they were trying to be him was$8k. Do not trust them after two months of compliances someone review the case and get my boss $6k credit. They were three percent wrong and instead of them saying they were sorry they suspended my bosses out of spite. This company is not loyal do not fund them.

      the original agreement when *************** of the amount of $106.38+taxes of $14.68 ******** dollars the booking confirmation number is *********** however upon receiving the bill I was shocked that this amount was tripled and charged with US dollars that meant I have to pay the transfer fee. Additionally the mandatory taxes and fees that was not mentioned before was the amount of $34.99+$8.99x3 =$43.98 x three days that is added to the final bill.so what was supposed to be ****** ******** dollar now is $259.44 ** dollar and the tax of $14.68 to a very different number this is the first issue as for the second one the front desk woman was indiscriminately rude to us not answering the questions and concerns we had, and herself the people behind her were laughing making fun of us in a very mocking way.***********************

      I wouldn't give Hertz one star! Their practices are predatory. I've been renting a vehicle through Hertz to use for Uber for several months now. Every week hertz takes $294 off of my credit card to cover the rental.. A few weeks ago I asked Hertz to no longer charge my credit card because the funds were taking longer to become available and to just charge my debit card. Hertz decided to charge my credit card anyway meanwhile they also were charging my debit card. Anyhow, another Hertz opened closer to my house so I closed the old account out and switched pickup/dropoff locations. Any funds I had to pay I did so at the counter with my debit card. Well, a few days later I saw a charge for $561 from Hertz on my credit card. I called them wondering why they took so much off my card and they stated it was for 2 weeks that I didn't pay for the rental which isn't accurate because the money comes off my card every week automatically. I then called my bank and the representative stated to me that Hertz waited 12 days to take the money. The money was already taken off my card and my balance was never updated to show that I had extra funds available. Anyhow, Hertz ended up agreeing that they overcharged me just $98 and that's all they can give back to me. Well, I put in a dispute with my bank. Watch out for Hertz and try to avoid doing business with them like the plague.

      We reserved reservations for a gas car and they gave our reserved car to someone else and saddled ** with an electric car which literally ruined our vacation. We were stuck most of the time at charging stations waiting or worrying we would not get to our next charging station. Worst experience ever.
