      Hertz doesn't even deserve 1 star they are the worse company I've ever dealt with will absolutely never deal with that company again

      They left my husband stranded with no rental but charged his card $400.00. Then turned around and told him sorry we can’t rent to you because you don’t have a CC but didn’t have a problem taking the money out of the debit card. My husband is on a business trip and the companies cc is on file. Still refused and decided to do a credit check. Still denied him of a rental why they still have his $400.00. My husband is now stuck for 6 days in Wisconsin for business and has to Uber everywhere and needed a ride an hour away from the airport. He is low on funds now for his business trip. That money should be back on his card right away not 5-7 business days and should have never been taken off his debit card. This company is a scam and I hope they have a big lawsuit coming. To leave people stranded in places they don’t know and it isn’t safe. I need something done now about it!

      Charged for loss damage waiver and premium roadside assistance even though I denied these when picking up my rental. Workers will add these charges regardless of what you agree to while they smile like sycophants. They stuff the agreement into the brochure and pray that you don't catch these extra charges until it's too late. Modern day robbery in clear daylight - NEVER use Hertz!

      Negative stars, take away all the stars!!! I reserved a car, got a car service to the airport. Was told upon arrival that there were no cars for me today. I then had to pay for another car service back to a hotel and had to pay for another night in the hotel plus all the other expenses that go along with being stranded.When I called the national Hertz customer service line to find out how I could guarantee a car would be available (website still SAYS there are cars available today!!) customer service said there was nothing they could do and that there are no supervisors or managers who could do anything about the situation.LAME ROTTEN JUNK COMPANY!!!Save yourself some time and money, go elsewhere.

      I PURCHASED A *** FROM HERTZ *** SALES ON NOV. 20 ***** AT ***** ********. IN *******, **. HERTZ HAS A MUCH ADVERTISED 7 DAY /250 MILES BUYBACK GUARANTEE WITH AN ADDITIONAL $200.00 CHARGE - PURPOSED FOR "CLEANING AND RECERTIFICATION;" BUYER'S MUST SIGN A RETURN POLICY ACKNOWLEDGMENT STATEMENT WHICH INDICATES THEIR AWARENESS OF THIS "PURPOSED" FEE... MY COMPLAINT IS AS FOLLOWS: AFTER PURCHASING THE *** (CASH), IT REMAINED ONTHE LOT FOR 2 DAYS WHILE HERTZ DID SOME REPAIRS (ALIGNMENT, REPLACE BROKEN TAILLIGHT)- DID THEY DO A 150 PT. CERTIFICATION BEFORE THE ****** ANYWAY, I DECIDED I DID'NT WANT THE *** -THE *** NEVER LEFT THE **** NEVERTHELESS, I WAS CHARGED A FEE FOR "CLEANING" AND A FEE FOR "RECERTIFICATION" - $200.00 SINCE THOSE SERVICES WERE UNNECESSARY, SO WERE THE CHARGES. THE EFFECT OF THESE FEES AMOUNT TO MISREPRESENTATION (TRUTH IN ADVERTISING) OF THE CHARACTERISTICS IMPLIED AND ALSO A CONTRACTUAL BREACH, I HAVE MADE THESE POINTS TO BOTH THE ***** HERTZ SALES *************** REGIONAL MANAGER TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS AN EFFORT AT REIMBURSEMENT OF UNJUST GAINS!!

      I rented a Chevrolet bolt(later replaced by a Kia **** because 2 flat tires) at Dollar rental car ************* airport. Later I found the bill contains 35 dollar tesla rebill charge. They said that is because I used Tesla charging stataion. I was always using Electrify America and payed with credit card. And I even don't know how to charge Chevrolet bolt or Kia **** at Tesla station because the charging port are different. I wrote an email complainning the but their custermer service was always sending long email repeating the same tricks: get the tesla rebill if you use tesla. I asked them to provide the location and time I used tesla they just can't replay.

      Hertz got to be the biggest joke I went to pick up my reservation through my insurance company ,soon as I came in just the look on her face told me something not right .****** cancers told me I'm on the do not rent to list.i never rented from hertz before in my life.i called the 800 # in front of her ,they said no theres no such thing under my name.i had to re group an see this lady is on some racist stuff.shes T the **** e.location ******* **.an I hope cooperate reads this an get rid of her.my day was so good till this happened.thinks to enterprise I got my rental an moved on ..I hate racist people

      I reserved a vehicle through AAA. I contacted a local store and asked if they pick up customers. I was advised yes and to call them an hour prior. I did just that. I was sent a lyft and told i would receive a text confirmation once they arrive. I did not, and the lyft driver left. i contacted the store back and i was told the lyft would not get to me until after 5pm. the store closed at 5pm. I had to take an uber to my destination and wait there for a family member to get me home. while i waited i contacted Hertz ** and asked to change locations. i was told i couldnt do that and needed to make a new reservation that was mor expensive than my original one. i made the reservation with my debit, and the following morning i was at the store and was told I COULD NOT use a debit and would be subjected to a credit check and a $750 hold on my card. The store also did NOT have the size vehicle i reserved. i reserved a full size car and instead had to take a compact EV. I tried contacting Hertz ** again to complain about how there were no full size vehicles and i was paying more for a compact EV than i would have been for a full size vehicle. i was told complaints cannot be filed over the phone and must be submitted online. there is no place to file a complaint instead i had to send multiple emails which the common email i get back states (in short) "Our goal is to deliver a level of client service that not only satisfies but also surpasses their expectations. I apologize that you did not have this experience, and I promise that we have considered your feedback." needless to say through the entire process the ONLY good customer service i had was from the 2 stores i interacted with. the ** team DOES NOT acknowledge the issues at hand and they DO NOT work with you to reseolve and understand the issues that you went though. i would strongly reccomend no one use Hertz if they can avoid using them.

      My rate is NO STARS.Hertz (Dollar/Thrifty Rental) at the *******, ***** Airport is a Nightmare. From taking an hour to get a Reserved vehicle to Charges sent because No one closed out my Rental Return. I was being charged $100 a day on my Amex until I FROZE the card and then Hertz Rep begin with the harassing and threating phones about returning the vehicle. Their return process is to park the car in return lane with keys inside, NO one checks nor give you confirmation received. You wait for email. When I spoke to ******* about it, She stated that an email was sent to Supervisor as well as they would call me and send an email of the receipt. Once I received receipt I was charged for a week rental price plus 2 days late fee and taxes although I only had the vehicle for 2 days Fri-Sun with late pickup due to company and early return. I called center again and after 30 mins of explaining I wanted to speak with a Supervisor, but I was sent to an never ending automated system. My Amex is still frozen and have been notified NOT to accept charges.
