      The worst customer service system in car ********************** companies. It's nearly impossible to speak to a live person.

      Avoid Hertz at all costs! They put me in an unsafe rental car that was 5 years old with more than ****** miles. It has leaking tires and wreaks of a garbage like smell that is overpowering and nauseating. I should have never agreed to drive off the lot into what would become a nightmare. Before driving off the lot, I noticed that the tire pressure light was on. I brought this to their attention and their remedy was to put air in the tires. Two of the tires had less then 35psi. This made me uncomfortable but there were no other vehicles available. The next morning while driving in the dark the tire pressure light came back on. I had to put air in two of the tires. I called the local Hertz for an exchange, and they stated that they did not have any vehicles. I was then put through to roadside assistance who offered to place the spare tire on but given that two tires were leaking I asked for an rental exchange stating that I did not feel safe. Hertz absolutely refused to give me an exchange unless I agreed to drive to the original rental office, even though it was an hour away. Roadside assistance even told me to continue to put air in the tires! Hertz said my only option was to have the vehicle towed to the nearest airport which is more then an hour away at my expense and then they would arrange for a Lyft to take me home also at my expense! To add insult to injury, I was told that it would have been covered if I would have purchased their expensive extra protection plan. What a greedy company. They do not care about my safety or the inconvenience this has caused me. Their rental fails due to no fault of my own, yet they want me to pay to have it towed?!? I plan to escalate this issue and report it to consumer protection groups and whatever entity oversees car rentals so that the next unsuspecting customer isnt put into an unsafe **********************.

      I purchased a Hertz rental car through gotrentalscars.com. When I arrived in *********** 11/29/23 and showed my voucher paid in full, they insisted I pay $158 extra in order to finalize the transaction. My voucher clearly shows paid in full. The amount they said I had already paid was different(actually more) than the amount I paid in my voucher. Despite showing them proof of purchase and my credit card transaction history of the amount I paid for the voucher, they still insisted I pay to get the car. My parents had the exact same voucher purchased on the same day for the same amount and had no problem securing their vehicle. I asked the manager why their exact same voucher worked for them and not for me when it was identical. He had no answer and insisted we pay. I contacted Hertz for reimbursement however despite many emails and discussing with their many departments, I get either hung up on in transfer or nowhere. They insist that Hertz *********** is a separate franchise and I have to get the problem resolved through them. Which is the problem to begin with. Their company has horrible customer service and has made no viable attempt to get my refund. Will never rent from them again.

      THE WORST COMPANY EVERBELOW IS THE ***** I LEFT THEM EXPLAINING MY ISSUE AND I STILL HAVENT HEARD DROM THEM I rent hertz for the Uber program, and time after time you guys are making me miss bills and charging me wrong and these are not holds and I have this issue with you guys time after time and recently Im close to losing my living situation because you did it yet again,I paid my rental EVERY WEEK and this week on Jan 26, **** you charged me for my weekly Uber rental and then 3 days later you charged my account again (its not a hold and I explained that to your customer service on the phone) an extra $383 for no reason. And then to top it off for the past few weeks you guys owe me a refund for a week I paid for a rental twice twice, you guys owe me almost $800 and Im about to get kicked out, you need to look into this ASAP AND GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK ASAP BEFORE YOU HAVE A LAWSUIT THAT I WILL FILE, I AM EXTREMELY UPSET AND UNSATISFIED, and when its proven that Im right I want a check in the mail or a super fast refund, Im not waiting 4-6 weeks like the location said which I feel like they never submitted the refund in the first place. I NEED MY MONEY ASAP BEFORE WE HAVE A SERIOUS LEGAL PROBLEM OVER SOMETHING SMALL FOR YOU BUT VERY LIFE CHANGING FOR ME, YOU ARE DESTROYING MY LIVELIHOOD.

      Rented a car late to drive an hour south out of Jacksonville. We needed to go quickly to catch up with others and endured. It was worse in the sun the next day. Notified them and they gave me a partial certificate for next time instead of refunding the 2 day $80 total. So now they expect me to have to spend more with them to use this small certificate. Classless customer service and a horrible urine smell. They claim CDC standard cleaning blah blah blah. No way is that even close to being adhered to or even addressed. Never again using Hertz. 0/10.

      DO NOT RENT AT HERTZ MIAMI LAKES!!!! Things get "lost" very quick/easy Returned a vehicle and forgot two garage controls inside, immediately reported the item to a representative and they just said that the vehicle was sent for maintenance and they don't know when or if they are going to receive the vehicle back. Everything happened in a matter of few hours - same afternoon vehicle was returned. Also double charged for tolls, even though I had a Sunpass in the vehicle and also have all charges in my Sunpass account. Avoid yourself trouble and go to another rent-a-car.  ******UPDATE******* 20 days after I returned the vehicle (gave them enough time to get the vehicle back from "maintenance") they simple said that they didn't find the two garage openers. How they cannot find them when I left them clipped on the sun visors? I've been having problems to access my garage but Hertz Miami Lakes does not care. DO NOT RENT VEHICLES THERE.

      Worse car rental I had used. The customer services was awful and they kept sending me to different department. They never resolved my issues or tried to help me. Well if customer service ***** then why have them. What happen to the customers is always right. I will never use Hertz again but will go back to what I always use and that is nationals or enterprise.

      Hertz has the absolute worst customer service i have ever experienced. They lie and then do not honor what they say they will do. I rented a car from Hertz in *********** for 6 days. The valet staff where I was staying misplaced my rental car keys for under 24 hours. I was told by Hertz customer service the only way to resolve the issue was to have the car towed back to the airport location, they would issue a new rental and have new key fobs generated for the first rental car. I was quoted by Hertz customer service $120 for the tow and $250 for new key fob. The keys were located prior to the tow truck arrival and the tow service was cancelled. When I turned the car back into Hertz in perfect condition with a full tank and both key fobs I was charged an extra $381.68 for ****************** I understand the tow service was cancelled after it was dispatched but new fobs were never created. I was told by customer service they would issue me $254 credit to my credit card after repeated contacts and online complaint request. I called customer service again after a week as I had not received a credit on my credit card. I was told a supervisor had cancelled the credit. NO PHONE CALL, NO EMAIL, NO CONTACT. Now they are rolling it up to the ******************* location supervisor. I have now spent hours trying to resolve this over billing issue. I will never rent from Hertz again and I would recommend no one else rent from them either.

      Tried to reserve a car, but reservation was denied due to lack of vehicles. Hertz still charged my credit card over $2,000 anyway. Now they claim they can't find the charge anywhere in their system, so can't reverse it. DO NOT RENT WITH HERTZ. Between this and them calling the police, I'm confused how they avoid criminal charges.

      Hertz at ******* *********** location are terrible customer service representative are rude impolite , attitude and cancel the reservation at the day of pick up without previous notice , bad service scam company save your money and rent from other companies
