      Hertz Rental doesnt even deserve a 1 star review. The representatives are the most dishonest individuals that I have ever spoken to. I refer to them as individuals because they are not one bit professionals. My son rented a car. We made the reservations online. We denied the insurance coverage online. His statement was emailed to him, indicating he had paid for the rental. It listed at the bottom the charges that would be due at pick up. These charges were taxes and age differential, since he was under 25. NO where in the statement did it list insurance coverage, because we had checked no. When my son picked up the car he once again said no to the insurance. The representative said he already noticed that it was checked no on the online reservation. My son signed for the car. When he got his credit car statement the insurance coverage was added. When I called Hertz I was told he signed the contract. Nothing they can do. I explained it was added without his knowledge. They continue to accept ZERO RESPONSIBILITY. Hertz is so dishonest and they scam their customers. BEWARE

      ****** that works at the ***** location is so horrible and rude. She left me a VM saying a car was ready for me to pick up, then I walk in two days later and she tells me they have no cars at all. She looked me right in the face and lied. It wasnt until I told her my reservation was through insurance that she changed her tone. After lying again. She said they had ins rentals then said she didnt. I guess the black woman walking in wasnt good enough to rent a car. She tried to say EDC sold out all the cars around the city yet enterprise was able to get me into a car with no problem same day. I plan on telling my car lot to take Hertz off their list of places to rent from. ****** needs to not have her job if shes going to have her racism and discrimination on display.

      I returned my rental a hour before the return time. However when I looked at my charges I was charged for an additional day. Also I had a voucher which is discounted from my job. They didn't release my charges. I called been emailing for 2 weeks trying to get a resolution. I don't mind paying for what I used but I refuse to pay for charges I didn't occur. I asked them to look at the footage and that will reflect to what I'm saying not what the attendant is saying. Like I don't understand how you can charge people for something they didn't do but your lack of professionalism with the attendants is where the problem is. If I could *** I really would cause it's not right at all!

      Horrible custom service!!! I had to change my reservation by 5 days due to illness. They only deducted $120.00.. that was fine then come to find out they never changed it! So I called again and now they are going to charge me $200.00 over the primal price. I cancelled the entire thing . Asked for reciept and she said they dont have a conf # nor do they email a reciept!!! Never again!

      We traveled to ***** last summer and rented a car from Hertz primarily because we wanted to rent from a reputable company. We paid nearly $500 for a Jeep Patriot for ONE DAY which was a premium of at least 50% over the average cost from other car rental companies. We returned the vehicle around midnight to Hertz in **** and were told to leave the vehicle outside the parking garage. We were notified the next morning that the windshield had a rock chip in it and that they were charging us $150. Lots of back-and-forth, but the chip most likely happened while the car was left unattended. No way to know when the damage. Our credit card company agreed with us and we moved on. Today I received a call from a collection agency threatening to trash my credit if we didnt pay up. We tried to get some help from Hertz corporate last year but they informed us that Hertz in ***** was a separate company and that they could do nothing for us. So, buyer beware. If you rent from Hertz in *****, you are basically on your own and will probably get shaken down.

      I reserved a car on March 20,2024 for pick up on May 4,2024 at 12pm at BWI Airport Car Rental When I arrived to pick car up the car I was told car was not available. I reserved a Tesla model 3. How did they not have the car that I reserved 2 months in advance I will Never be a customer again

      They did not have the car s available for rental then told me I had to cancel because it was prepaid tried getting In touch with home office was on phone for two hours of my trip one still ever picked up so I had to cancel car before 4 so I would not be charged the whole price me they charged me the 100 dollar cancel fee even though they had no cars available at the location

      I have been a Hertz customer for years. They charged my credit card over $3,000 for a one week rental without my permission because at one time I authorized a payment for the renter last year WITH MY PERMISSION!.I have tried everything to let them I did not authorize this charge but was willing to work with them for the reserved amount of approximately $1,100. They have so many bad business practices I would stay away from this rental car company Go anywhere else..I hope to pursue this as far as I can but you may not have the energy or patience and may have your credit card charged without your knowledge just because you did business with them one timeNOT WORTH THE RISK! Stay away!

      I picked up a car Saturday morning (5/11), and immediately after pulling off the lot, I noticed something wrong with the vehicle. I turned around and talked to the representative there. I was given a maintenance voucher to use at their local repair facility as they didn't have a replacement. Hertz would not approve the repairs, and I spent all day from 9:50 am at the repair facility to closing around 6 pm waiting and trying to get a replacement or to talk to someone at Hertz corporate. I eventually got ahold of a human who told me it would be three hours before they could get a tow truck there, and they wanted me to go to *********, **, from **********, **, to get the replacement. They did nothing to help me and left me stranded. The only phone call I got this Monday was saying my reservation cancelation went through and nothing else. They didn't offer to refund the day for the broken vehicle. They didn't offer any apologies. They didn't care.

      Hertz overcharged my card and then complained my vehicle smelled of marijuana. The person making that assessment was wearing full gloves and a mask. At no time where the smoking rules violated and attempted to charge me $400 which was declined. They kept running the card over & over again & it finally went through on a Sunday & they are closed. There is no dispute process, I am asthmatic and cant smoke & it's so ridiculous you have no recourse. This company has a 1 star rating in all categories. They are ruthless, unprofessional and dress like slobs. They provided no resolutions and anyone wearing masks and gloves in this day & age cannot be trusted. If the agents had COVID prior hence the reason for the fear he cant smell anything. I am absolutely horrified by the there customer service & they are headed for disaster. I intend on taking them to court & fighting this until the day I die. My vehicle was dormant for over a week and lag when I was in the hospital. It was only used for trips to the doctors and groceries. I have already filed a complaint with there customer service and they have no evidence. No burns in the seat no ashes, the ash that was 100% clean the tank was filled the vehicle had low mileage for the time it was rented. They overcharged me & now ripped me off without authorization. Just because some kid in a mask says there should be a $400 charge it needs to be authorized which makes this theft. Never do business with these people if they get your CC information you will end up broke like I am. $400 in the hole for. some bogus, unfounded charge some some pre-pubescent, sickly, asked up person who weight maybe 90 pounds. Before I went to this location on May 11th I was looking at purchasing a car not "smoking marijuana" Needless to say HERTZ RENT A CAR now has another .5 star ratings out of thousands of customers who have them the same ratings. I honestly hate these people for taking food out of my mouth and causing me physical pain. Hate Them.
