We dropped off the rental car and a month later they claim there was a dent. There is absolutely no validity to the claim. They are pinning this on us bc some employee doesnt want to get in trouble. There is positively no proof that there was any damage when it was in my possession.

I was ripped off from the clerk adding charges that I never agreed to and up pricing everything. Do not rent a car from these crooks. They quoted me one price then after I turned in the car early i was charged over $375 added on charges higher than the quote

NEVER RENT FROM HERTZ!!!!!!! Hertz has a MAJOR scam going on where they add fuel responsibility to contract, without letting the customer know, at time of check out. They then add the fuel charge when you drop off the vehicle. EVEN IF THE TANK IS FULL. This incurs a charge of HUNDREDS of dollars.

My review should be for 0 stars because I reserved a vehicle through this location on a Saturday morning to use for a family vacation. The office should have been open until 12 p.m. but when I arrived the doors were locked and the lights were out. Other customers were there as well and stated that they were there hours earlier to experience the same problem. I spoke with a representative at their corporate office and they told me I was out of luck and there was nothing they could do. I was left with nothing, after paying some of the cost, and it being on a Saturday, so my options were limited.

They need to get more involved with recording their information with insurance companies. Instead of trying to rip the consumer and customers out of money after accidental claims.

I have been a professional and ironically an automotive industry executive for 41 years and can unequivocally state that a current experience booking, securing and the impossible task of reaching Hertz was the worse - almost hard to believe - experience after hundreds of rentals over the past four decades professionally and personally. Lied about pricing, up-charged for a filthy compact car where I could have secured a high end EL SUV for less and longer but fell into their bait and switch. Spent a total of 3.5 hours on various phone numbers - cut off or no answer. Stumbled on an executive number that looped me right back to the same toll free hold. Long and short - we were taken, treated more rudely than any like experience with no resolve in over four decades. I have NEVER filed a like complaint, but felt this was so egregious it should be recognized so others are not harmed. Im now out $724 for a filthy, tiny vehicle with no recourse for 4 days (partial day one and 4). To end, this entire experience was compounded by the most rude, insulting, uncaring people I have ever encountered. Please hold Hertz and their companies accountable for this terrible and unethical treatment to people. Important to note - this was not just our experience. Everyone in line was dumbfounded, upset and mistreated the same.

I am compelled to share my recent disappointing experience with Hertz, prompting my first-ever Google review (Never before have I been a person to write reviews). Despite booking a Tesla for a meticulously planned road trip, upon arrival, I was informed that they did not have the Tesla available as promised on their website. Instead, they offered a Polestar as a substitute, a downgrade from the vehicle I had originally selected, yet with no adjustment in price or compensation. This lack of transparency and failure to fulfill the advertised service was frustrating. Furthermore, when I sought to extend my rental duration midway through my trip I encountered more headaches. After a lengthy half-hour wait on hold with customer service (No way to extend through the app), I was informed of a significant price discrepancy. While the advertised rate was $80 per day (Checked on the app), I was quoted an astonishing $220 per day for an extension. This inconsistency was exacerbated by the requirement to initiate an entirely new contract to access the initially advertised rate. Such practices feel inherently deceptive and exploitative. To make matters worse, upon returning the vehicle a mere 2 minutes late, I was billed an additional charge of $158. This strict approach to punctuality further underscores the company's lack of customer-centricity and their overt profit-driven mindset. Regrettably, my experience with this Hertz has been characterized by unprofessionalism, greed, and negligence. The absence of accountability, coupled with a disregard for customer satisfaction, is deeply concerning. Initially skeptical of the negative reviews attributed to this company, I now find myself in agreement with their sentiments. I implore prospective renters to exercise caution and explore alternative options, as my experience was absolutely terrible.

Terrible company. Guy told me to go to the gas station to fill the vehicle so I wouldn’t be charged 10.99 per gallon and I bring it back full and he still charges me 10.99 a gallon. Then they charge be a bogus concession that no one explained and you can’t even reach these folks calling their customer service number. Will NEVER use them again

My rental experience was horrible. I pre paid for a car through Expedia. Once i got the the rental desk at the airport in Panama City Beach Florida, the salesman told me that i rented an electric car and Panama City Beach Florida does not have charging stations. I told the sales rep i wanted a refund and i would rent somewhere else. He told me that Hertz is pathetic and will never give me a refund. He said I had to pay 95 dollars for an upgrade to a "Real" car. I was stuck so I went ahead and paid it because I didnt want it to ruin my vacation. When I got home I contacted the customer service and they ignored me until I contacted them again and they finally got back to say Oh well you signed the form for the upgrade so too bad. I believe all the bad things the sales rep at Hertz said and I will never rent from them again. Hertz is doing this to people to over charge them. The sales rep told me that i should never pre pay for a car that I should leave the bill open until the end. Yes, of course, so they can over charge me and say I signed for it. Beware of the scam......
