      DO NOT BOOK CARS FOR THIS LOCATION! We mad a rental reservation through Travelocity so that we could pick a car up in Foley, have a car for the last day of our vacation, and would be able to drop the car in Pensacola on our departure. We were literally on our way to pick up the car (15 minutes AFTER our pick-up time) when the local pick-up site called to tell us they didn't have a car for us. We then went to the Hertz website, which allowed us to re-book, only to find out that the location still did not have any cars. The chaos around this issue ruined the last two days of our vacation, leaving us stranded without a car. I will never use Hertz again.

      I rented a car for the holiday July 3rd to July the 8th to travel out of town the car check engine light came on with a message code which read engine power is reduced, which caused the car not to accelerate. I called on July the 7th to get the vehicle towed by hertz and to be compensated for the one-day immediately and was told to email customer service support which I did and as of today I still have had no communication with a Hertz. I received my finial bill and noticed a $86 charge for fuel on my account. I called the location where I rented from and was told to contact customer service 800 number because they are unable to do anything on store level and I would be credited, I have spoken to 5 reps, and they are unaware of the car even being towed I gave conformation number of the tow service which I was given by Hertz roadside assistance. I find this to be unacceptable customer service and this transaction is straight to the point. I was given a car that clearly was not safe and had mechanical issues therefore the car was towed, and I could not put fuel in the car because of that reason. I would like for this matter to be resolved ASAP! I HAVE waited for the 5 days and when I CALL Hertz there seems to be no notes on the account. After 8 days I was told that corporate would have to reach out to the location where I rented the car from to confirm the car was towed and then that's when the refund would take place, this is so backwards!!!! and there is too much back and forth taken place especially when I was to on July the 8th by the location to call corporate. ******* **

      Hertz Rental Car Columbia, MO will not return our "incidental fuel fees" they charge you even if you return the car full of gas. They are thieves and this is a known business tactic. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM HERTZ. Look at all these complaints below? My wife keeps calling them to refund our incidental fees and they keep saying yes but it never gets returned to the card. We called our credit card to get the $80.00 returned. What a terrible company. They charged us $332.00 for one week rental and they are supposed to return $80.00. Our credit card company returned us the $80.00 but Hertz Rental Car is a thieving, lying, stealing fraud company.

      I rented a MALIBU FW Car from ST LOUIS LAMBERT INT'L Hertz 06/20/2024 17:21 and returned it 06/23/2024 11:19. My reservation number was K89404770E9. I prepaid for the rental $370.09. My final receipt total was $294.16. An overpayment $75.93 based on my prepayment. This is a request for a refund of $75.93 to me for overpayment of car rental.

      Hertz ( and a number of other car companies ) continually rent out cars they don't have available. I had to wait 5 hours ( 1 hour in line, 4 hours sitting on the floor ) for my car which I had reserved for 6 hours earlier. I'm not sure how Hertz can have an A+ rating but a 1/5 customer review rating.

      On 7/11/2024 I reserved a rental car online from Hertz for my daughters use back and forth to work while her car is in the garage. I was sent a confirmation for pick-up on 7/12/24 at the location on Meriden Rd in Waterbury/Wolcott Ct. I had requested a small economy car. I paid in full $239.50 on a credit card because they dont accept debit cards. On 7/12/2024 she went to the location to pick up the vehicle. She calls me all upset. She tells me that they dont have the car there and offered her an electric car. She has no experience with an electric vehicle and I purposely didnt chose that type of car. The car that was confirmed was a Chevy Spark. I called the manager of the store, Steve. He informed me that he had no idea when the car would be there. That my daughter would need to wait around for the car. He stated that because I just rented the car yesterday it wasnt guaranteed. I told him that yes it was indeed guaranteed, by CONFIRMATION AND MY PAYMENT IN FULL YESTERDAY! This is an unacceptable way of doing business! I rented that car so my daughter could get back and forth to work. I tried calling the Cooperate Headquarters in Florida,calls are answered oversees apparently and the only thing they could do was to have the funds credited to my charge card 4 days later!! I will never do business with this company again because apparently, they dont know the meaning of the word CONFIRMED. And to then wait 4 days for the return of my money is pathetic! Warning to anyone needing a car and needs a reliable company....dont use HERTZ...because if theres a problem they dont care, you will wind up stressed out and broke for 4 days!

      Subject: Request for Refund Due to Uninformed Upgrade Charge My husband and I rented a car from the SLC airport on July 1st, and I am writing to address a concern regarding our rental experience. We arrived at the SLC airport terminal desk at 10 AM on July 1st, where a woman was assisting us. We had prepaid for our rental in full via Priceline on June 17th, with a confirmation for a mid-size SUV. Upon our arrival, we inquired if a Kia was available, and she confirmed availability of a Kia Sorrento. We agreed to this option, but she failed to inform us that this would be considered an upgrade and would incur an additional charge of $30 per day. At the time of payment, which amounted to $481.00, she gave the impression that this charge was the deposit hold for the car, which would be refunded upon drop-off. We are requesting a refund of $281.40, which covers the unanticipated upgrade charges. I attempted to resolve this issue with Hertz but was declined a refund. I believe the employee who assisted us that day should receive additional training to prevent such misunderstandings in the future, as this experience was deceptive and unsatisfactory. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      I wouldn’t give any stars if I could. This is the second rental with the gold plus rewards & AAA discount. Both times I have confirmed & booked through email with the, “discounts” at a price per day/weekly that don’t match my paperwork. Neither gold plus reward discount special nor AAA discount applied to the manager special rate, but was charged the full rental price with a 5%discount applied instead; to make it look like a discounted deal. After I picked up my car & looked at the paper work I confirmed the full price charge doesn’t match the price I was quoted in email. I reached out to discuss this issue & extend rental a few days. Was told that the call center is in India & they have no way to access set price amounts for rentals. They can only move rental out & authorize my card for more money. Weird being that they over charged me to begin with. Deceptive practices that take advantage of folks & advertise false benefit member rewards program.

      I rented a car from Uber and Hertz and the whole time I could not log into Uber cause of some thing Hertz failed to do and this was over a holiday weekend so I had to wait until Monday to complain. When I went there they told me they only rented me the car for two days but my receipt says 7 days. They then left me stranded and took the car back two days early. Now I'm behind on my bills all due to me thinking I was going to make money but was never sent not one job to drive. The employee who did all this to me was *********************** and this was at ***************** drive in Tempe this place is extremely horrible the guy tried saying it was my fault some how this was crazy! Just cost me tons of money I don't have
