I rented a car through a Priceline airfare/car rental deal. I had no idea it was Hertz. They were slow checking me in and left me to find the car. One week after I was home I received an email from Hertz accusing me of damage to the car.I barely drove the car 30 miles. I did no damage to the car. I feel like I'm caught up in a fraud move on their insurance companies part. It feels like a scam.I'm going to be looking into how to protect myself from this fraudulent company. Never in my life have I seen anything like this.

I rented a car from Hertz at the ******************* on June 26, 2024 and it was returned via tow truck on June 30, 2024. On July 5 I received a Voicemail from Hertz saying the car hadnt been returned. I have documentation from the towing company, the insurance company who contacted the towing company and even a screenshot of the *** from the tow truck driver when he dropped it off at the *******************. Needless to say, this is August 12, 2024 and the situation is not resolved. On August 6 I got a charge for $3029.75 on my credit card from Hertz. Every time Ive called I had a more than 30 minute wait. Hertz is claims the rental was returned on August 5 and I was charged for 33 days of rental. The woman I spoke to today in the billing department, said she would call the Hertz counter at the ******************* to verify that it was dropped off. Now I have to wait for a return email that *** not come for 3 to 5 business days, if it comes at all. I am at my wits end.

The worst car rental! We rented the exact same cars 2 8 passenger ****** from the exact place. We kept the cars for the exact amount of time. Returned the cars together and they charged $460 more for one car. Telling me the computer lists the cars as two different classes. I’ve tried calling to them, they disregard you. I’ve tried going to headquarters it’s been a week and still no call back. I filed and complaint through email and it stated someone will contact you in 3-5 days. Well folks it’s been 8 days! This is a complete disgrace! People go use **** or *****! HERTZ IS HORRIBLE!

On August 9th, I reserved an SUV through the ******* app, for the ** ****** *** location in Lynbrook, NY. I get there about 11:30 to pick up the car and all they had were electric vehicles. I purposely chose an SUV for cargo capacity. So now I had to change my plans which is a huge inconvenience. Not only that, I had to waste 2 hours of my personal time to find chargers. This isn’t right that the facility doesn’t have enough cars for what customers reserve. This is TERRIBLE customer service. ******* ******

On 8/7 I reserved and prepaid to pick up a car rental 8/11. When I arrived at Union Station (Washington DC) they told me there were no cars available. I could wait; I would be 8th on the waiting list. They would close in 90 minutes and a car may or may not arrive. I could call Hertz customer service or go to the airport. So I called Hertz customer service. After being on hold 32 minutes (for real), a representative told me there were no cars available at the airport so I would have to go back to Union Station. When I asked if there would be a car available there, I was put on hold and then disconnected. I returned to Union Station and was told there was still a waiting list but for sure there were cars available at the airport. I went to the airport and -- 3 hours after going to pick up my paid-for-but-unavailable-car -- there were cars available. Plus there was another customer at the airport who was a refugee from Union Station because Union Station did not have the size car he reserved and needed for his family trip. When I called Hertz to get a refund on the first (non) rental I asked how to file a complaint and was told to go to Hertz.com. Guess what: there is no complaint option on their website!

HERTZ HURTS .....0 STARS!!! I rented a vehicle online to depart from Memphis TN *******. While making my purchase online, I received a confirmation to bring the card that I paid with(Debit Card). Which I did, Once I get to the counter. I'm informed , Since it's not a credit card, They need a 500 dollar deposit! Though I had the money to do so, 500 dollars isn't nearly a small amount no matter who you are.! If I didn't have the 500 dollars , I would have been stuck at Memphis ******* WITHOUT a refund for my pre payment which is ROBBERY and I have no idea how that is legal. (Also showed proof of return flight for June 9th 2024 before leaving with the rental) Fast forward, My return flight back home departed on June 9th from Memphis *******, I get a notice a week later stating that I returned the vehicle 2 days Late which would make it June 11th so they charged me Late fees! After reaching out and providing valid proof of my Departure flight To PORTLAND OR , They stated they would refund me ! WHICH NEVER TOOK PLACE>>>> I would never , EVER as long as I live recommend this company to ANYONE , Not even my worst enemy ! May your business Fall and never return!

I rented a car at the **** Airport in Houston. The rental process was easy, the car was nice, full tank of gas. Great. However upon returning it with a full tank of gas, I checked my receipt and low and behold there is a full charge on it. Why is Hertz charging me for fuel? This is not ethical at all. I tried contacting them several times to no avail. No one ever answers their customer service number. It's impossible to speak with a human being. It seems as if customer service is not their top priority. If you have rented with Hertz I advise you to check your return receipt..
