      This was my first time renting from Hertz, and it will definitely be my last. I made a reservation, not realizing it wasn't considered prepaid. When I arrived to pick up my rental, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional $100 because the type of car I reserved was not available. This experience felt like a scam. The manager, Rachel, and her staff were unhelpful and indifferent to my situation. In all my years of renting cars, I've never encountered a scenario where the vehicle I reserved wasn't available, and then I was forced to pay extra. Typically, the company offers a different type of car and asks if that’s acceptable. Instead, I was told I had to upgrade. To add insult to injury, I was blamed for not calling ahead to confirm my reservation, even though I explained that this has never been an issue with other companies. Moving forward, I’ll stick with National. If you value good service, I strongly advise against renting from this company and location.

      We had a reservation to pick up a rental today Monday August 19 at the 804 N Veil Philips Ave Milw Wi location. We arrived at 3 pm and there was a sign in the window that stated this location was temporarily closed!!! What the !!!!!? No one called us to inform of us of this so we had to scramble to get another rental car from another company! What kind of a business are they running??? We definitely will post this terrible experience. DON’T RENT A VEHICLE FROM HERTZ There is no option for Zero star rating

      By reading these reviews I guess I don't need to leave one because it's all the same **** with hertz no matter where you go. Oh, and the additional $9.99 convenience fee on a $.48 cent toll to top it all off.

      This company fraud to the fullest. I hope they go bankrupt. I hope Houston has the biggest flood ever and just wash the business and cars away and I hope the insurance refuses to pay. And whoever fraudulent charge My card, I hope , to whomever running scams at this company, I hope your whole bloodline be cursed & your family forever have the worse experience in life. I have a strong hate for dishonest people and thieves. Yall know darn well the tank was full.

      Worst experience. After arriving at Buffalo ******* international Airport the Hertz Rent-A-Car counter area last week, we found it was backed up with over 100 to 150+ customers waiting in lines with only 2 agents dealing with backed up reservations -one for both ****** and Hertz customers when cars were ready for pick up. Understaffed we waited three hours. Some customers had been waiting from the night before! The agents understanding and working efficiently in an untenable situation. Then there was a $130 airport tax due to picking up at BUFF. We didn't know such a high percentage tax and additional cost would be incurred. To charge people for an airport pick up with a 100% failure to deliver a reasonable experience is wrong!! We had no issues with the car or staff. Also we needed to extend our having our vehicle another two days due to illness. After multiple attempts using the App to try to ‘manage’ the booking the links and processes did not work. After calling to speak to somebody multiple times – there was zero customer service available including the website. The App credited it us -$125 by extending two days? In reality after this mess, they should reimburse us $125 for the wasted time and energy. Nothing was easy about this experience expect being charged and taking our money. What's worse is we heard a desk agent had actually been struck by someone. They are the heroes! Hertz Corporation is unwilling or unable to resolve these issues and lets them escalate! It's been this way since May! Hertz should be held accountable for a complete lack to operational organization, systemic management failures, lack of staffing and online technical deficiencies! Reservations from 3rd parties are flooding the system without an ability for delivering service or cars for such a large volume customers in a timely fashion. Traveler’s time and efforts in trying to meet schedules and obligations, being delayed by excessive wait times affects plans --and it did ours.

      I was driving a rental from Hertz and another driver hit us from behind while stopped at a stop sign. Police and the other driver deemed it was 100% his fault. I submitted all appropriate paperwork to Hertz upon return. They are now trying to make me pay over $2500 for lost rental time and depreciation. They did not even try to collect from the other driver, and his insurance will not pay this. I assume they would do the same even if someone damaged the car and I was not even in it. This is so wrong! I will never rent from them again!!!

      Nevada state laws states no fee for adding spouse to short term rental. Was charge $92 at the counter even after telling them that. I have been trying to get reimbursed for that charge since. First submitted via email, with notice that would receive response within 3-5 days. Did not receive response within timeframe so tried the customer service line. Was told wait was 10 minutes but ended up on hold for over half hour. Finally got someone on the phone and was told could not help me and that I had to go through email. Tried to escalate to manager and was refused. Seriously, how can this even be possible. Worst service ever.

      I give a zero. I rented a car in July. I was unaware that I was going have to give a 500 deposit. I was informed that I would receive this when I returned the car. I called hurtz and they said it was released and it was ***** ***** that I needed to call them. After calling them they said there was no transaction for that withdrawal. So basically I spent around 800 for rental from them. I will never rent a car again from Hurtz.

      WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Told by Roadside assistance to replace the car at the next Hertz/****** location I would be passing. He put me on hold and told me exactly where to go and said they would be expecting me. They were unaware when I got there and didnt have a car for me. I had to wait for one to be delivered causing repercussions for my next destination. I dropped off the car at my destination, signs said park it and leave they will email me a receipt. They never sent me one so I called to find out why. TERRIBLE time getting a human! When I finally got someone, days later, she had no idea the car had been exchanged and charges kept adding up saying I never returned the car. All said and done I was charged more than $400 more than should have been and they wont reimburse me. NEVER USE THEM!!!!
