      After turning in a rental car without damage, Hertz claimed I caused damage to the vehicle and charged my card for this damage on three different occasions in three different amounts. Even after submitting a formal complaint and request for a review of my case, Hertz cleared me of responsibility for any damage but then charged me again for the same damage causing me to start at square one to resolve the issue. Furthermore, I paid an additional fee for supplemental insurance to cover damages up to $1300, so there shouldn't be any charges to me, even if I had damaged the vehicle. Do NOT give your credit card information to Hertz. It has been an absolute nightmare.

      Went to office in morrow ga. Had an online reservation for 9am sat at location until 1015am before even seen by associate then was told they did not accept my credit card which was not listed online when I got reservation. Enterprise has had no issues with my card on the numerous occasions in which I have used them. Because of the mistake by hertz missed my opportunity for out of town work. Very unprofessional service should shut down this location

      Hertz *************** Complaint: 9:30 am August 28, 2024 Simply put, Hertz Rental Office in ******************* was the worst treatment I have ever experienced from any customer service organization. The agency has no sign on the road, or anything visible when you pull into **** dealership. I left and circled around for 10 minutes looking for the rental agency, finally came back to the **** dealership and inquired. They pointed me to the service area where there is a small sign on the door that is not visible behind the cars that are dropped off there. Arrived 5 minutes after my appointed time for a one-way rental to meet my departing flight in ******* and was told no cars, no recourse, move on and get out. I was blamed for being 5 minutes late. When I asked how they could help me get a car to meet my flight, the counter person (who introduced himself as ****) said they would do nothing, told me to keep my voice down while glancing nervously at the dealership personnel, and told me to leave immediately. When I stated that was unacceptable and they were obligated to try to meet their commitment, he told me they had other business to conduct and I was trespassing. I asked him what his name was, he grabbed the cards from the desk and told me he would not give me his full name. Then he said he would have me arrested and pretended to call the police while glaring at me.This put me in an alarming, humiliating and somewhat desperate situation. I left and did find another last minute rental. It ruined my day and left a hugely negative impression of Hertz Car Rentals. Overbooking is a questionable practice, but if it occurs customers should be informed ahead of time, not blamed and threatened. Weird way to run a business. Awful!

      Terrible customer service!! I will never rent a vehicle from Hertz again. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Worst experience I ever had. My story begins with I booked a reservation to rent a car online through the Expedia website. On the same day, I found a better itinerary. I canceled the 1st reservation and booked a new reservation through Expedia. My cancellation was a week prior from my pick up date. Expedia has a no charge cancellation fee if you cancel before 24hrs of pick up date. Moving forward, when I returned the vehicle. I was charged a “a no show cancellation fee” for the 1st reservation I canceled through Expedia. I called Hertz customer service. Emailed them a copy of the cancellation from Expedia. A Hertz customer service representative told me I will receive my refund within 7 days. On the 10th day I did not receive my refund, so I called Hertz again to inquire about my refund. A customer representative told me they have no history of any refund, that I was charged a no show fee. After I repeated and repeated everything I did, there was no resolution. I lost that money. Also to mention I was kept on hold for hours with every call with Hertz. Very unprofessional company

      I rented a car from Hertz at Newark Airport on August 22. It was a 2 day rental and I paid in advance a Total $172.02. This included the daily cost of the car ($53) plus taxes and fees.i received a confirming Rental Agreement. Upon picking up the car, Hertz charged an additional $66 stating it was additional taxes. I contacted Executive Consumer Services at Hertz. They basically changed their story several times, finally stating that the car rented was not available so I was charged $79.50 per day plus taxes. I was not advised the car changed as the replacement was a similar mid size. Hertz states that they can change the car agreed and then charge a different rate. Coincidently, the replacement car on the Hertz Website was $55 per day not $79.50. This is downright FRAUD. At Hertz' whim, they can charge whatever they wish and a Rental Agreement is worthless. Additionally, the car interior was filthy. Hertz changed their story several times and refused to acknowledge their unfair practices.

      I was charged double the rate ($768 overcharge) on my reservation by Hertz at the MSP airport. I waited nearly 2 months for an answer to my dispute and then it was rejected. They claim that the rate on my reservation was not “guaranteed” even when a copy of the reservation was provided. So, I decided to call Hertz and after 3 different numbers and waiting 15 minutes on hold, was told they have no record of the rate. What horrible customer service!!

      Negative rating Don’t ever use any Hertz rental car company. They charged me $75.00 for gas after I dropped the car off with a full tank of gas. I tried to file a claim with my credit card after calling Hertz [ they don’t answer the phone and no one is ever at the store front]. Hertz told my credit card I agreed to all associated fees when I rented the car. I used the Venice, Florida Hertz.

      Rented a car on 8/3/24. Salesperson reviewed what our rental agreement was and added they would be giving us a Loss Waiver and could also give us an upgrade to our vehicle. I asked how much that would be, he explained the additional cost for a larger vehicle and I told him no we would be fine with what we agreed to. I told him we didn't want or need anything in addition as we were only using the vehicle to get from the airport to our hotel and it would be left in the parking lot all week long. He skipped the remaining add ons, asked me to sign the rental agreement which appeared to be the same amount as I understood our rental car to be. I found out after I returned the vehicle that the Loss Waiver we were "given" was nearly identical in cost to the daily rental fee and it had been charged to our credit card. When I reached out to Hertz on the phone I was told there was nothing they could do, if I wanted to file a complaint I would need to reach out online. I reached out on 8/13/24 and did not get a response back until 8/21/24, after I called again to ask if anyone was going to respond to my email. I was told over the phone a second time there was nothing they COULD do, and then shortly after I received an email saying there was nothing they COULD do. I replied to the email with my disappointment and again explained the situation. They said they would review this again and quickly responded back that there was nothing they COULD do. I again explained the situation and detailed the DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES used and was told they would look into it again. A different person responded to me on 8/28 saying again, there is nothing we can do.

      We were quoted a price when we booked the car online. Upon pick up we were charged for extra insurance. We didn't realize the extra charge was added. After we drove from the airport we reviewed the receipt and immediately called the customer care number to inquire about the charge. We were on hold for over an hour. Finally we spoke to a representative who said they would handle the refund after the car was returned. We also emailed them explaining the situation. After returning the car we contacted the costumer care again - again over an hour wait. We hung up and emailed them again. They say they respond to emails within 3-5 business days. So far we have not received an email response. We called again - again on hold for 30 minutes and finally reached a representative. She basically said - no refund because we signed the paperwork. Ugh!! We're out $500.00. Never again will we use Hetrz and will advise all family and friends to avoid this company.

      I had a funeral to go to for an aunt of mine who passed away, I made a reservation with Hertz and received a confirmation number, I was pulling into the lot when I was called 20 minutes before pick-up time and told that the car was not returned and that there was no car available in Michigan. I advised that no one tries to use this service they are lying to the customers. I booked another rental car for September and there was more negative action the agent did not book the car and added my car to the Hertz system, I called they stated there was no supervisor available and placed me on hold for over an hour, they then told me to call back in one hour to talk to a supervisor, I was also told that I would receive 950 points for the inconvenience that never took place, this is an example of a failing company.
