      Customer service is almost non-existent. I had to change a reservation with Dollar, a Hertz company, to pick up and drop off in different cities. I had to call to make the change but after three calls, could not get an email confirmation/receipt, despite constant promises. They billed my credit card in advance and once I returned the car, my credit card was billed a second time, both for the full amount. I contested the charge with my credit card company but Hertz told 5hem I had agreed to the charges and refused to refund the money. There is no way to contact anyone in upper management. I will never rent from them again.

      Awful, Autumn in Corvallis, horrible customer service. They wouldn't take my chime visa. So I was unable to rent a car. But the next day found that they used that same card that I was unable to use and charge me 50.00. This charge was completely unauthorized. I am disputing it if course. In the office there was never a sign saying no chime. All it said was they were no longer taking debit cards. It was my 55th bday and because of their fraudulent ways I missed half of the stuff I planned for my party. Seems funny they wont take my cc to pay for my rental but will use it for wheneverr they want to charge you. 0 Stars

      Both locations I picked up from and drove to were nice and professional. However while making my online reservation the website strangely kept "declining" my card (tried two of them twice before one finally stuck). When I arrived to pickup the car the gentleman told me he could see all the times I tried in their system. Said he'd never seen anything that before. I didn't think much of it at the time.Unannounced to me, Hertz decided to charge me each time because the charges were *not declined*. So instead of paying about $225 for the rental they dinged me for an additional $156 three times ($468 over-charged). To make matters worse, it's been two weeks and they claim they cannot find any additional charges in their system. Now I have to go through disputing charges with my card providers.I will not ever use Hertz again.

      I am requesting a refund/hertz credit in the amount of $309.09 or I will never use hertz again. Still probably wont. My wife booked me a prepaid rental car in my name on her credit card on 05/27 so that I can visit our home that flooded from the hurricane ****** with construction finalllllly close to finish. I got the to the hertz counter and they would not let me pick up due to it being in her name. They said they could not switch the card on file or take any cards from me for incidentals to pick up the vehicle. Once getting to the front counter said they can only help book a new reservation. My prepaid reservation was in the amount of $86.24 total. I am now told this new reservation is the cheapest one at $266 but added "optional" coverage and told me it's required. When I later called back on the phone, they told me that the non optional coverages is false, so I had been lied to. Since they lied about that, Im sure they were lying about the new rental rate and Hertz policies. What else are they hiding and lying about? The front counter also said to call the 800 number that night or in the morning to cancel one of the charges. Yet again, the 800 number said they can not help until the rental is over. Does hertz have any training for employees at all?? Someone should be able to switch a card to their name if you require their wives to be present that booked it. I received the same vehicle for triple the rate and no help in the original or the $309 reservation being cancelled or altered. Upon drop off the attendant directing the vehicles was rude. No one was there when I pulled up, so I pulled into a lane and parked. After I parked he comes up, leans on my window almost into the car and says turn off. So I turn the vehicle off and then h I did not want a $309 reservation, did not want the additional non optional coverage.

      Well..... I was charged a $500 pet cleaning fee! I was never even told of this and didnt know until I went to pay my CC they just charge it. I was NEVER notified that I must clean the vehicle of any dirt before bringing it back! It is NOT posted anywhere in the office and the people behind the counter stated that they don't notify you and its at their discretion to do so also told me that it is NOT anywhere in the paperwork that I received!!! The amount of pet hair was a joke, one trip to the vet for a total time of 20-25 minutes round trip and never even sat in the seat! I have the picture of the seat and floor and it would take 5 minutes to sweep it up. I even offered to rent it for an additional day and would go clean it was was told NO we cant rent it in that condition WTF!!! This is nothing more that thievery!

      I rented a pre-paid rental from Dollar (owned by Hertz) at Boston Logan Airport for $176.13. After I returned it, they charged me $1076.93 -- over $900 more than my rental agreement. I have been fighting for my refund ever since! Jazz H******** is not responding to me and I have not been refunded -- and on top of that, they just sent me a Toll bill for $74.95 for crossing ONE toll!!!! I rent cars at Boston Logan twice a month, I know my toll bill should be about $14. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND THIEVES !!! Now I have to take legal action against Dollar/Hertz. I am so pissed at this waste of my time.

      HERTZ BAYTOWN TX Made a reservation online for pickup the day before my wedding & when I arrived this guy says there are no cars to pick up there, and that there's nothing he can do! So I asked for a manager & he says he is the manager so I ask for the owner to which he says he has no clue who it is except that he lives in Florida, so now I'm pissed & ask him to locate me a car to which his response is, Our phones don't work! WTF! So then he proceeds to just ignore me like the pos he is!

      0 stars, horrible bad service , and be careful when you paid you will be overcharged , the app make the reservation but you show up they canceled not recommended they not serious in customer service, waisted time

      I made a reservation at Istanbul airport in January for August. My reservation was cancelled due to vehicle unavailability without prior notification. I now have to book another car at a more expensive rate. This is very inconvenient.

      I rented a car from them, and after I returned the car, got an email about being charged almost $500 for damages that I never caused indefinitely wasnt responsible for. When I called the customer service department, they told me I had to contact the agent that was in charge of the case. I called, left voicemails, and even sent an email. That so-called agent never responded to any of those things. These people are thieves and pride themselves on scamming people for extra money by falsely accusing customers to be responsible for damages, they are not actually responsible for. They are liars, and do not rent from them.
