      I will never rent hertz again the car that I rented was so nasty the person before me must have had that car about a month with a dog. I had to be inconvenienced by driving back to airport to trade the car didn't get a upgrade and the next car the key fob didn't work!!! Poor customer service

      This started on last Thursday. I called Hertz and spoke to Benjamin. He said that if we get American express prepaid card we get discount. My boyfriend and I went to few stores CVS and Walgreens all had gift cards. Also, He went to American express foundation and they said they don't have that card. So Saturday I called again and I said forget about discount I want use the bank card. He was extremely pushy we get the American Express prepaid card so I asked for his supervisor employee number, Employer ID **** said the only way you can pay through American express gift card or prepaid card , I said you mean I can not pay by debit or credit card he said N Ma'am. I knew it's a big lie because I had rent cars before I asked for his supervisor. A guy name Larry Yong answered he refused to give me his employee number and called me Bitch Fuck off. I didn't call back. my boyfriend really needs a car to go see his family and grand kid with his mother on May29,2023, He called back Hertz and Larry Y answered and told him get gift card, and my boyfriend got American express card. Than James (District Manager called said Larry was wrong you need American express card and my boyfriend really wants to see his family at his break work went and get the card and give it to James and James said we will deliver the card to you on 12 pm May29,2023 and give this confirmation number .After 12 pm May 29,23 he called Hertz and Hertz said there is no confirmation number under Kevin C. We got robbed for$700 and my boyfriend didn't see his family.

      TERRIBLE experience. I am a good member and was supposed to skip the line. Just waited in line for over an hour because they said I booked a Tesla so I have to do counter check in!!?? This is how you treat your gold members?? I will not be booking with you again. Your customer service is awful.

      The Hertz Customer Service Rep laughed at us before hanging up on us after we called to express the problems we encountered.
      When we were picking up our rental at Seattle airport (Seatac) on 5/13/23 we were asked if we preferred a Toyota Rav4 to a Corolla for more leg room and we agreed. We were not told that this was an upgrade or that it cost more. When we received our invoice later we found out the Rav 4 was nearly twice the price. The way the woman presented this to us seemed very deceptive. We also mentioned that we were only going to drive the car to Tacoma and back so would have only about 60 miles use. In response we were told that because of this minimal use we should take advantage of the AAA special on gas so we agreed. When we later received our invoice we discovered we purchased a full tank of gas to go only 56 miles. At no time were we told we were purchasing a full tank of gas. Why would the woman tell us this was a good option for us if we were only driving 56 miles round trip? The car also had a foul locker room type odor that was nauseating. In addition we were charged for insurance that we had declined.
      On 5/15/23 we called Hertz customer service to express our concerns. The man who answered asked us many questions and then started laughing. I asked why he was laughing at us and he said he thought he had put us on hold. He then put us on hold for a long time, came back once to say he was still checking and then after another long delay disconnected us. We completed a customer satisfaction survey they emailed us on 5/16/23. It asked if we would like a return phone call from them and we said yes. On 5/17/23 we received a standard email reply that did not address any of our concerns. We never received any phone call. We have been using Hertz since 1979 but after this treatment and being laughed at and ignored by their customer service rep we will never again use or recommend Hertz.

      I rented a car locally from Hertz. 2022 Toyota Camry. Discovered oil leaks in my driveway which is brand new. 9 total plus it ruined a driveway at a client's house of mine. Hertz did nothing to help me with the cost of the cleanup. They only gave me a credit of $71. Horrible.
      Plus every time I tried to call they told me to try to call the local Hertz which nobody answered or returned my calls for 3 days.
      I'm very disappointed in this company and will never rent from them again.

      Hertz doesn’t care if they have cars to rent or not. They’ll take your reservation, not call you prior to showing up and tell you after you show up that they don’t have cars to rent. I have been waiting in a line for over an hour with many others waiting too. Just an awful experience with zero care from Hertz.

      One star is one star too many. Absolutely terrible company. We had a reservation through a third-party app, canceled it and rebooked a new rental over the phone directly with Hertz. Showed up today to get the car and the office was not open. An employee showed up 30 minutes late and turned away SIX people with reservations because they had "no cars." Hertz customer service told us every lie in the book -- there are no cars; there are no cars in a 50-mile radius; we have to call from the counter on our own cell phone and hand the phone to the agent so that she can "tell them how to get you a car," etc. Hertz now has our payments for BOTH reservations and we have NO CAR. They are telling us they will get us the refund in 7-10 business days. What a ripoff. I would never do business with this company again.

      If I could give them a zero I would. I rented a car with them and now cant go on the vacation so I needed to cancel the rental car. I cancelled the car 2 weeks ahead of time and was still charged a $100 cancelation fee. I also called the number provided in my email to cancel and the lady on the phone was extremely rude she said she quote "didn't have time for my phone call" and ended the conversation by saying "don't call back" Terrible customer service. We go on a lot of trips and will NEVER use Hertz again.

      ZERO RATING! You should have a customer review rating of zero because that's what the Hertz Rental at the Hartsfield Airport, Atlanta, GA deserve. I picked up my car rental on 5/23 scheduled for return on 5/30. On 5/25 the car broke down, completely dead. We called the 800 phone number for Hertz road side emergency assistance, as always, on hold for almost an hour before someone answered the phone. Finally a tow truck driver arrived and said "the battery is bad and needs to be replaced or the problem will continue. He showed me the read out on the computer that says the battery needs replacement" Hertz said they will send a tow service to drive the rental back to Atlanta airport where I can get a replacement. I have to pay the tow service extra, so I ended up driving the rental car back to the airport. I got to the front desk and the lady told me to pick an old, filthy car in the lot and said that's all that they got. If I don't take it I have to wait for 2 hrs. No customer service, such arrogance, no concern and regard for customer safety. This is highly stressful. Why does Hertz Atlanta airport continue to rent out malfunctioned problematic vehicles for the high amount they charge to customers? I am here in Atlanta to take care of very important family matters. I lost an entire day because of Hertz car malfunctions. Hertz should just refund the entire rental amount for the agony and stress they inflicted on me and my family. This is the 2nd time that this happened to me. Hertz should be investigated for putting customer safety at risk by renting out malfunctioned vehicles and then had the audacity to charge customers for insurance because they know that their vehicles will break down. This kind of business practice should be stopped. Hertz should be put out of business.

      My daughter rented a car from Hertz while in Vegas. She returned the car to the airport as scheduled, and boarded her plane. For over 2 weeks after returning home to Jersey we received calls from Hertz that the car had not been returned. After multiple phone calls to an out-sourced (not the U.S.) customer service agency we were told each time it would be looked into and still the calls came. Now today I see a ridiculous charge on my card. When I made yet another phone call I was told that the car wasn’t returned until 4 days ago. My daughter wasn’t even in Vegas anymore! How could the car only just be returned?! When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was transferred to a voicemail of someone named Julie. Just Julie, no identification that I was still speaking to Hertz. I have not received a call back either. This company is a scam!
