      I would leave zero stars if that were a choice. Horrible experience from Hertz in Savannah, Georgia Airport. Flight was delayed and I and others in my party tried all day between flights to call the counter in Savannah to let them know we would be late. No one answered and could not leave messages. Tried calling 800 number, could not get anyone on the phone. After having reserved our cars months in advance, we arrived an hour late. The supervisor, who looked to be about 20, was rude. She told us we should've called. We attempted to show her our phones with the number which we called all day long and she wouldn't even look. She said she answers phones and we should've waited on hold. That was not even a choice. It just rang and rang and disconnected. It wasn't even a matter of they didn't have any cars. We stepped away from counter and called and same thing with the phones. She was lying. The young adults working were standing around talking about personal matters, not helping the line of people behind us. Which the supervisor was equally as rude to. I will never rent through anyone other then Enterprise. No one should rent a car through this company.

      My wife had called the Albany Hertz agency to reserve a gasoline powered car for our drive to Philadelphia. When she went to pick up the car, she was told that only 2 cars were available: a KIA electric vehicle (EV) and a pickup truck. The pickup truck would have exposed our luggage to rain, so she accepted the EV. The Hertz manager gave her very brief and somewhat useless instructions. Using the EV turned out to be a nightmare. Specifically the 3 books in the glove compartment had confusing and unclear information about how to add electrical charge to the vehicle. Also most of the charging stations were far off the main highways we needed to use; and most of the charging stations were out of order. Our trip to Philadelphia took about 9 hours instead of less than 4 hours; and our return home trip took about 7 hours. We will never again use HERTZ to rent a car; and we will avoid using a KIA EV. ****** ****** Ph.D.

      DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ. I tried to return my rental at the Providence airport around 2pm. There was no one in the return lot to assist me. I wanted to swap the charges to a new credit card and get at least an estimated receipt so I headed to the desk. There was one person working and a line for 8 people that didn't move the entire time I waited - about 30 min. At one point, the guy working left for like 10 min. When I realized I couldn't wait any longer, I went inside the airport and found another desk. Again, only one person working, and I was 6th in line. I waited 45 min and then was told their system was down and that no one was going to be helped. I finally left, as to not miss my flight. THEN, I when I finally got a receipt, days later, I was charged an extra hour for a late return. I called to dispute it and they said they would "do an investigation" and get back to me. It's a $16 charge, but it's the principle. Who treats customers like that. No help, no receipt, no one to talk to and an extra charge. I will stick with Enterprise from now on. They actually take care of their customers.

      Rented a car a the Airport Frankfurt Germany from Hertz. Like many other people, including many US Servicemen and women, they love to add fake damages to the return process, forcing you to engage with credit card companies and insurance companies to cover items. While I may not have to pay for it, depending on the review, this is fraudulent and targets US citizens who are leaving the country at the airport who have no legal recourse to resolve it. Since this is a US company, and I live here, I blame the US company for not reigning in their employees. Just google Frankfurt HErtz damages scam to see the litany of other people who go through the same thing. For the record, I rent from Hertz in the US and do not have these sorts of things happen as they would never stand up legally in the US. Shame on them

      Absolutely unacceptable. We rented a brand new Tesla for Nashville Airport drove to Knoxville and then charged night prior at super charger to drive back to Nashville. Wake up next morning to see the charge dropped to 50%, called customer service, was told to go to Knoxville airport to swap, drive in the opposite direction to be told that they don't take electrical cars. Have been on the phone to be told repeatedly that if we want it towed to get another car we will have to pay for towing or keep charging on the way to make it to Nashville. VERY VERY UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please don't rent cars from Hertz.

      I was estimated to pay $252.26 and you ended up charging me over $600. The sales rep forced me to get supplemental insurance after I told him no several times. He said it was required and put it on the bill even though I denied it. I know it isnt required and this is sleezy business and ILLEGAL. We were also not asked if we wanted a toll tag, then were charged $77 for this after we were to already over billed. I need help to get my money returned and the situation rectified. We were estimated $252.26, why did you bill us well over $600???

      This location took our reservation and charged us for the car on Sunday. However failed to inform us they were closed when I called the Hertz at the Airport the representative was extremely disrespectful and rude on the phone. Only thing they told me was to call the 1800 # for assistance and that location wasn't her problem. If the office was going to be closed they need to update thier website and have more classes on customer service support. I do NOT recommend.

      I would give this location negative 5 stars if I could. What an absolute joke this place is. Door was shut in my face at 4pm. My reservation was for 4pm. Was told by ************************* the BRANCH MANAGER that he had a family to go home to and was leaving for the day. Meanwhile he sat at his desk for another half hour while I figured out what my options were as I was now stuck. I shouldnt be surprised as I now just read the other reviews from this location but DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE. PUT THIS BRANCH OUT OF BUSINESS. Im going to every other site to leave a review as well. I have been given the run around the entire day by Hertz. Never ever ever renting a car from Hertz. I am absolutely speechless at my experience today.

      I made an reservation very easily by calling in. They gave me competitive rates and gave them my credit card and they put a hold on it and sent me my reservation number. I dropped my vehicle off at a Dealership for repairs and then tried to pick up my Hertz rental. I was told they did not have any cars and just because you make a reservation and they take a deposit does not mean they make any effort to have a vehicle for you. I asked if they could get a car from another Hertz (I was dealing with the branch Hertz at. ***************** on Centennial in *********) and was told I was welcome to call other rental car places but they could not help **** called Hertz customer service and they said the actual car rental was not the scope of corporate and I had to deal with the local branch. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said there were not any. Upon further questioning, she said they were in a meeting and she had no idea when they would be out. I asked her to have her supervisor Call me but she said they do not do that. I demanded it and she said she would pass the message on but do not hold your breath.How does a company grow so large with such terrible customer service, customer communication (they did not bother to call me to tell me they had no vehicles) and no process in place to handle loyal customers who have legitimate concerns. I would have given less that one star but there was option for that.Recommendation: If you counting on a rental vehicle, I would recommend any other rental car agency.

      I rented a 2023 black Malibu from Hertz Round Rock TX from 7/21 to 7/24. I needed a car to take my son to a tennis tournament which was 2.5 hours away. The car was fine on 7/21. In the morning of 7/22, we started driving, and the tire pressure indicator came on a few blocks away from my house. I kept driving a little more, but it was obvious that I had a flat tire. We returned home and got in our own car and drove to the tennis tournament. Because of this, we had to change our entire family plan for that weekend. My son had to withdraw from the tournament after playing only Saturday matches. and our hotel expense went complete waste as we had to return to our home the same day. I called their roadside assistance number to see what my options are to return the car to Hertz Round Rock. They didn't recommend I try to put a spare tire on myself because it's dangerous. Instead, they told me they could dispatch a roadside service crew to my house, and I will be responsible for the $82 cost even though I was at no fault for this flat tire. They gave me a car with a questionable tire, and I'm supposed to cover the additional cost of roadside assistance, after ruining my weekend plan (having to withdraw my son from the tennis tournament, wasting the hotel room that we had already paid for, etc.). In the evening, the roadside assistance came to put a spare tire on, and they said the tire was old, and I should take photos as evidence of bad maintenance by Hertz. On 7/24, I returned the car to the Round Rock store. The manager took off the roadside charge from my bill, which was minimum expected from them. I also want them to compensate for the hotel cost and a half of the tennis tournament fee which we ended up not getting any value out of because of this rental they gave me with an old questionable tire. I've been frequent user of Hertz for several years, but I don't think I'll trust their service again after this.
