My nephew's graduation is on May 28, 2025.
On May 23, 2025, I reserved a rental car from 6605 NW Expy, OKC, OK. The rental was scheduled to be picked up on May 27, 2025, at 4:30 pm.
I arrived at 4:30 pm to pick up the car. The agent advised me that since I was using a debit card to pay for the rental and a credit card to rent the car, I was unable to upgrade my car, even though I was advised that I could when my reservation was booked.
I asked him if I could see the upgraded car to see if I wanted to use my credit card to upgrade. He informed me that he needed to see my credit card before I could view the types of cars I could upgrade to. I showed him the card. Then, he stated that I had to go through the transaction before he could show me the card. I asked to see the policy stating this rule.
Then he informed me that, at this point, he would not be renting to me. He was aggressive, argumentative, and unprofessional.
I felt threatened and appalled by his behavior. I started recording the conversation. He became enraged.
I immediately called customer service to report the incident that had occurred. I spoke with a foreign lady with a horrible accent and dialect. I mustered through our conversation and explained the incident. She informed me that she had no jurisdiction over that location and couldn't assist me. I requested to speak with someone else. She placed me on hold for over 15 minutes, without checking back to inform me of what she was doing.
I called the airport location and explained the incident to a staff member. He informed me that it was the third call and complaint he had received against this location within a few days.
However, he was able to book my rental and provide me with the upgrade that I originally booked.
Tramale Kemp needs to be fired and eat a tamale on his off day!

Hertz is charging me for a tank of gas charge when I have clearly stated that I would return the tank full and ma a premier member with this option chosen as my default choice, always return full. Their system for correcting this incorrect charge is flawed and tedious, obviously made so you let them take your money. A sad way to run a business but this is the world we live in. Customer Service is a joke.

I had a confirmed reservation for a Maserati Grecale through Hertz at LAS. Upon arrival, I was given a Toyota Highlander without any notice, consent, or explanation — a completely different class of vehicle. As a President’s Circle member, I was not offered any alternatives, and the staff, including the manager, acted rudely and dismissively. The Highlander had broken glass shards inside from what appeared to be a previous accident. I sustained a cut on my finger due to the glass. Despite several complaints and multiple emails, Hertz only offered a $51 refund and ignored the injury and negligence issue entirely.

I have now had two times where I have come to Hertz after reserving my car and getting a confirmation email and then they told me the car wasnt actually available. This caused me to have to find a completely different car rental company at the last minute. This is illegal and they should be fined.

On April 28th I rented a rent a car and i extended my rental in the process of the extension my card was charged $50.00 for tolls even though I purchased the toll pass with the company.. I had to call and call for them to refund my money they did when I extended my rental they charged me $320.00 which 200.00 was the security deposit i returned the rental on the assigned date of April 30th all the charges were released on April 29th Hertz charged my card $61.00 i call and ask why they advise me it was charged by accident that they released the payment back to my Amex card here we are ALMOST 30days later and the charge is still pending on my card hertz advised me there is nothing they can do my Amex charge card wont release the money I cant dispute the charge cause its pending and i am told my credit card company i have to wait to see if the merchant will take the money I dont know how long it takes but my money is still on hold I wont rent from hertz again cause this is the second charge on my card that was done without permission and if i did not fight for money I would of been charged 50.00 for tolls even though i paid the 13.00 fee to have unlimited tolls plus my 61.00 on that is on hold and they want to thank me for being a gold member but this is what they do to their customers is crazy and unprofessional

Worst company ever, Called me DAY-OF rental saying they had "no cars" then charged my credit card anyways, and when I disputed it with my credit union, ,they still charged my card. I've tried calling customer service at least 20 times and I even sent an email. The charge is still on my card and I'm disputing it. There is NO SIGNATURE ON FILE that I ever rented a car because I NEVER WENT INTO THE OFFICE since they called me saying they don't have a car. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION THEY DON'T EVEN ANSWER THEIR PHONES, horrible unprofessional and unethical.

How do you take money out someones account everytime they renewed the rental and then they return the car and you are gonna charge them again!! Do not get a rental from them!!!

Hertz Uber Sugar Land – Promenade Shopping Center ***** ********* **** ***** ***** ** ***** : Absolutely unacceptable. I booked and paid extra for a comfort-size gas SUV, and after driving over an hour on my lunch break—the only window I had, since this location closes before I get off and opens after I go in—I arrived to find that the vehicle I reserved was not available. Worse, I was told that none of the available vehicles were registered and it could take hours to process one. The only option ready was a completely different vehicle: an electric Polestar 2 that I never wanted and only accepted because I feared losing my job if I returned empty-handed and late. That car was a disaster. It displayed multiple error messages from the start, and within 48 hours had two flat tires. I followed Hertz Roadside’s instructions and dropped it at Pep Boys for service—where it sat for over a week, completely unusable, with no replacement offered. When I called the Sugar Land location to ask about the charges for the downtime, the representative who answered was clearly inside a Popeyes, with background noise from the kitchen and people yelling orders. She replied, "You sho will be charged," and spoke to me in an incredibly dismissive and unprofessional tone. When I (very calmly) expressed concern, she had the audacity to tell me to “pipe down.” This location is an embarrassment to the Hertz brand. If corporate has any commitment to quality or customer respect, this situation needs to be thoroughly investigated and corrected. I will never rent from Hertz again, and I strongly urge others to avoid this location at all costs.

I am frustrated with these people and don't understand how they still have willing customers.. I have a police matter resulting from a reported incident that apparently occurred way back in August 2024 and which I have just NOW been alerted to. I have tried to contact multiple departments, call centers, and third parties at Hertz. All useless for anything complicated. I received a California police issued traffic violation dated July of last year. The summons was for a Hertz car rental but had the wrong driver particulars. I needed to get more information from Hertz pertaining to this particular incident to communicate with the police, and to find out what is going on. Hertz's customer has been thus far, worthless. Their staff consists of a 3rd party call center overseas. Everything goes to the call center who provide robotic answers and no assistance to anything but billing errors. I have been referred to multiple emails, a third party US based company called ******* ********* (whose responsibility is to communicate with police departments and provide customer information based on Hertz's erroneous information), and a couple of telephone numbers. These go to The Philippines, of course. The staff that I spoke with was repetitively unhelpful and full of incorrect information. At one point, one of their representatives told me that the car was in an accident and asked if that was me!?!? (It was not. No idea what he was talking about). Hertz doesn't seem to care. The call centers can't help in situations like this. Nor can the US 3rd party ******* ********* who said that they can only communicate to the police the incorrect information that, Hertz, erroneously provided. They told me it was a Hertz issue, not theirs. I do need to communicate with the traffic police. I need a representative based in the US corporate office to call me and help me resolve this. NO MORE OVERSEAS CALL CENTERS.
