      This company is ridiculous. Had reservations with this company drove over an hour to get there to find out that they had no car for me. The person working there was very rude and not a good personality. I don’t recommend using the one in Pawleys Island SC. left a message with corporate and no return call.

      Hertz (Dollar Rent-A-Car) tried to upsell me at the front desk and didn't succeed. But they gave my a printout of one price, and the full contract they printed and sent via email had a few hundred in extra charges. Charged for the extra drivers which they shouldn't have, per my AAA Premier card status for all drivers. Also they took quite a while to scan my car that I dropped back the airport on return and tried adding an extra $85 to the mix. I recently found out Dollar Rental put the wrong code for the discount and have yet to drop the case of $409 of 'overages' that I refused to pay. My credit card company and AAA are backing me, even Hertz at several phone calls has agreed to waive the fees. Yet I received collections agency requests for payment and related threats. Months have gone by since I returned, and this is not resolved. Their customer service is terrible, They are very professional on the phone but do not follow through with their promises and never follow up with emails regarding the outcome of the conversations or issues with the case. This is the big memory of my long anticipated family trip.

      In the words of ***************************, they can take the reservation but they cant keep the reservation. Reserved premium car 5-star Gold at ***************. When I arrived I was told to get on a line at least 30 people deep. After waiting 20 min during which the line didn't move by even 1 person, I cancelled the reservation and took ubers for the entire trip in *******.

      I was charged a fee for my spouse to be an additional driver and not informed that there would be an additional charge due to no gold account being linked to the reservation. The employee who completed the contract did not inform me of the additional charge and then hid the additional contract paperwork under the one with the original charge so I didnt see it. He did not inform me I needed a gold number in order for my husband to be added for free. When calling to try and resolve this staff were unwilling to help and basically said to bad you should have asked. When I signed there was no total showing the additional fee. Beware of the deceptive practices of this location and this company.

      Car was in great shape, but I had issues the morning I was trying to get out of ******- it got locked in a parking garage that wouldn't be open until the next day, but I had a flight to ****** I had to catch. Hertz said to leave the car, bring the keys to after hours return, get home and they could tow it out when the garage was open. Easy enough, right? Nope!I spent 9 hours going back and forth with their emergency roadside assistance and only one man- *** from *********- seemed to know what he was doing. They kept leaving out important details for the tow trucks they were sending (things I was very specific about, *** said half of what I was telling him, things I had said at least 3 or 4 times previously, were nowhere in the files). Things like "she isn't with the car," "the car is locked and the keys are at the airport," and "its in a parking garage not on the street." So much frustration.I realize it was my mistake, but they made it sound like it'd be no problem. To make matters worse no matter how many times I tried calling the ****** Hertz- to make sure they had the keys (the employee that took them from me wrote my nameon his hand) and maybe see if they could bring someone down there to drive it out- would not answer the phone. It was maddening. At the end of the day I was charged $225 by the towing company (they were amazing and I was thrilled to give them my money) and charged $260 for emergency roadside assistance. Are you kidding me? Maybe if it had only taken one phone call. Several phone calls, stress, sitting on hold with that same song repeating every 30 seconds, and having to beg and fight for someone to get there before the garageclosed again does not warrant charging me that much.I'll likely never use Hertz again. The customer service, or lack thereof, isn't worth it

      Rented a vehicle at Hertz ********. There were large black ants crawling in the backseat. Called and spoke with a really nice woman to report issue. Purchased bug spray and sprayed the whole car when I got to my destination. Called on day of return and spoke to the manager - he was rather flippant. Said he would reimburse me for the cost of the bug spray. When I returned the vehicle the young lady who helped me talked to her co- workers but very little to me. She did ask how the rental was to which I said fine except for the ants. The manager was the one who checked the car in and came back in. He stated he saw an ant but was being facetious. Overall I felt the staff was disengaged and he was rude. We will pay more and rent somewhere else next time.

      I am not happy at all. I have a car that has no air in it at all. Its 87 degrees out out and there is hot air blowing at all times. The back up camera ***** and doesnt work. The panel from the seatbelt is falling apart. Its horrible. The front tires are bald and I am taking time out my day and wasting gas and money to sit at a shop to fix a problem that cant be fixed. They should literally swap cars out and refund me for the time I have wasted and missed work for this.

      Erroneous charges for smoke and charged me 400 dollars. Also, is trying to say I owe more money, even attempting to put a debt collection on credit report! This company came out of bankruptcy with a plan and the plan was to screw over people!

      I reserved a rental through a third-party and turned down the optional insurance upgrades. At the hertz location, they still added these charges on, which ended up costing almost as much as the rental itself. I literally paid double for no reason. They are a bunch of crooks.

      Im an Uber driver renting through hertz. This company submits charges through your bank with no warning for services which are not clearly explained. There is no in person billing customer service only an overseas call center. They take advantage of people who either dont know better or dont have the time to dispute random charges.
