1 starOn October 13, 2023, my family was expecting a *** to be dropped off, as per the reservation I made a month ago. We are in the middle of a major, long-distance move and are scheduled to leave the house Monday. We only have the weekend to pack the *** for shipment. We paid for a permit to allow your *** to be parked in front of the house. The neighbors were notified and the space to be utilized was roped off to prevent them from parking in the designated spot.That morning, I received a text from your driver simply exclaiming Call. I tried to call back several times and no one picked up. I then called your customer service line for a status update. I discovered the driver noted that he could not make the delivery due to wires in the street and an issue with blocking the street. We have seen PODs parked on this street before and our permit allowed us to take up 3 metered spaces, plenty of room to allow delivery. The driver never called back and didnt even knock on the door. After several calls to customer service by myself, my wife, and my mother-in-law, we were told that nothing could be done because the order had already been cancelled. The only resolution given to us was to bring our belongings directly to the facility 8 miles away! The relative that needed the *** is a senior who can neither drive nor lift furniture. We couldnt even get a rebooking for the weekend. Our money was then refunded to us by check, rather than through the original payment form. Now we must figure out how to coordinate a move from ************ to Virginia for an elderly relative by Monday morning with funds we dont immediately have because checks do not clear overnight.For such a large, well-known company, I am absolutely appalled by the treatment we received yesterday. As a service-member, I was recommended to your company for your alleged ease of service. I can guarantee I will never try to utilize your services again and will be making this known to all my fellow shipmates.

1 starNever ever use PODS moving and storage. They’ve screwed up the delivery of our second POD 3 times and didn’t notify us, just waited for us to call and ask where it’s at. They also just straight up canceled our order for a second pod twice and refused to give us the discount on the second pod because they “didn’t have an order for it”. I’m furious and terrified we won’t get our things packed in time because they refuse to do their jobs. We should have just forked out the extra 2k for real movers but i thought they would fulfill their contract. They have given me the run around all day and have not prioritized me, despite having bumped back my delivery 3 times. I am going to file a formal complaint and sue to get my money back so I can use a competent moving company.

1 starI was shocked by the service. Clearly, their customer support is in another country speaking from a script. Money, money, money. After going through a detail of my home furnishing to determine POD, we quickly transition a sales pitch written in the 90's. Using the key buzz words, seeking affirmation and the such........ I made me cringe. The sales person wanted my credit card NOW. I explained, I just had back and neck surgery and I am currently on narcotics and I want a clear head and sober mind when reviewing your contract., I asked if you can send it over for review ( I had been on the phoned for 1 hour) , and when the woman learned I was not going to give her credit card, she literally hung up the phone. The entire process felt very dirty, and unbecoming of a moving company as it is a regulated industry. I suspect after reading the 1 star complaints, they are considered a storage company and not a moving company. Moving companies are highly regulated to protect the consumer to avoid the games they seems to playing. Honestly I have never seen such a low rating.

1 starTheir customer service was severely lacking in several aspects. From start to finish, the entire process left a lot to be desired. Communication was one of the major issues throughout my interaction with PODS. It was incredibly difficult to reach a live representative. I experienced extended hold times which only added to my frustration. When I did manage to speak with someone, the level of customer service was lacking in professionalism and empathy. The representatives seemed disinterested and indifferent to my concerns, making me feel undervalued as a customer. Furthermore, the lack of transparency regarding pricing and sizing were concerning. I contacted PODS to determine appropriate sizing for my 1 bedroom apartment. I fully explained that I had large furniture to include a large sectional and king size bedroom furniture just to name a few. The representative assured me that the 8X8 POD would be sufficient. THAT WAS A LIE. Upon delivery , I immediately observed the unit was extremely to small. After further research I discovered that an 8X8 POD would be more appropriate for a studio apartment. I made multiple attempts to contact PODS and was not successful. I already had movers scheduled which could not be cancelled. and had no choice but to seek out additional means to move the rest of my items which cost me significant additional fees. I Initially, thought I had a clear understanding of the costs involved, but additional fees and charges seemed to appear out of nowhere. The discrepancy between the initial estimate and the final billing was substantial, and PODS failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these unexpected costs. When I finally spoke with customer service, I was assured that the matter would be escalated. IT WASN'T. I have called countless times to have this matter resolved and EVERYTIME, I am informed that an "email " is being sent out the either the escalation team . NO ONE HAS FOLLOWED UP!!!! This all began on 09/16/ Its now 10/06.

1 starThe beginning of the PODs experience was lovely. A very friendly and helpful driver delivered our ***, we filled it, and it was then taken away to a storage facility. We were told up front that it would be going to one facility before settling in the final holding facility. This process was explained and we understood it, or we thought we did. It is now nearly 3 months later and we are trying to have our *** delivered to our new house, and everything is turning sour. I have spent the last week trying to get our *** delivered so that we can move into our house. Not having the *** is holding up everything, as one can imagine. You need your things in order to move in, something I would think is logical. I have been told that my ***, being held at a facility 31 miles west of our new house (let's call it facility A), has to go to a different facility, which is 62 miles east of the new house (we will call this facility B), in order for it to be delivered back to the house. This is a 150 mile trip (90 miles from facility A to facility B, 60 miles from facility B to the house) and will cost over $1200. Also, it cannot be arranged for close to 2 weeks. I keep trying to get the numerous customer service reps to understand that this make no sense, as the trip between facilities will have the *** passing the final destination. Their solutions have been: 1) pay for the 150 mile trip 2) I can hire a third-party moving company to go to facility A and load up the contents of the *** to have it delivered, which I pointed out negates the purpose of a ***, or 3) I can have it delivered to literally another state, which is only 7 miles from the house, and then hire a third-party mover to deliver the contents of the *** to the house, also negating the purpose of hiring PODs in the first place. I am incredibly frustrated and feel as though our belongings are being held hostage. I will never use PODs again, nor will I recommend the company to anyone. This has been a terrible experience.

1 starI have never been so disappointed by a company in my entire life. They are the single worst company I have ever experienced. I had some money issues and I tried to catch it up for 2 months. They would not work with me at all. So tomorrow is Oct 5 and they will be auctioning off my whole life over 6days for me to be able to get the money to catch up my account. 6 days and all that I own is gone and I can't do a darn thing about it cause they have my stuff. My husband died 3 years ago and all that I have left of him was in that POD. My children's stuff. I assure you my refrigerator could pay the bill. I gave them permission to sell the fridge and they said no. You know why they don't care? Because they sell it all and keep all the funds associated with the sale. So it's a win win situation for them. And if you had 20k in jewelry in that POD, you may has well kiss that goodbye too. When I spoke to them they had no remorse whatsoever but then again your talking to a bunch of foreigners. I will say I hate *&%#$@ PODS. I will never forget what they have done and I can only hope one day they go out of business because of all the negative reviews I have read. I also would not recommend them to anybody, on the contrary, RUN!

1 starThey're quick to take your money, but delivery of the container was a nightmare. It was late over five days. We spent hours on hold/ with representatives on the phone or chat, all we got was lies and incompetent answers. They delayed our delivery several times, said they put in an expedited delivery, and it never showed on those scheduled dates, even if we spoke to a rep during delivery time. They assured us they had called the delivery company and they were on the way. Funny thing is, they never showed. They say they call you back and they just don't. They've wasted our time on several days, we had to buy extra kitchen items in order to cook and/or had more expenses due to eating out. We slept uncomfortably on air mattresses for an extended period of time, had no table or chairs. All that with three children. There was no offer of a refund or any kind of vouchers beforehand, no offer to make up for a delay that they caused. You just gotta deal with it. Nothing you can do. We could have signed a statement to receive money for the extra costs for eating out afterwards, but it included to keep the case confidential and we would not be allowed to talk about it. We can absolutely NOT recommend to go with PODS. Horrible experience. All drivers were nice and organized. If all PODS reps had been that way, there wouldn't be a 1-star review. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from the experience.

1 starDO NOT USE PODs. I moved last month and have been charged redelivery charges even though PODs were a NO SHOW on the delivery date. On my delivery date, I called several times to check the status of my delivery and was told it was one hour away, two hour away etc. only to find out that there was no one at the on-site location that day, the person scheduled in did not show up. The person was quite surprised when I showed up at the ********** location that Tuesday after the holiday only to realize it is not a customer service area at all just a scheduler's office. After their NO SHOW and lies all day, I ended up getting billed for rescheduling their NOSHOW. Today I just looked at my credit card to find another charge. I have been trying for 2 hours to call to find out what this charge is and why the rescheduling fee due to their NOSHOW and after waiting on HOLD when I do get a person and explain the situation, they put me back on HOLD again and eventually I get hung up on. When I ask for a Supervisor, I definitely get hung up on. I work in customer service and this experience has been the worst! Shame on PODS!

1 starNEVER EVER use them again! MINUS 10 Stars !!!The only 'customer service' is a call cntr on another planet. And they don't know answers to questions.Their dashboard lists their nearest destination warehouse. It says call when notified to update final destination (from their warehouse --> my location). BUT it does NOT say WHEN it will be shipped, and estimated arrival date is a 7-day window. I asked if I could be notified when it arrives at destination warehouse to then direct to my location, but they do NOT notify!!! Huh?? So it can sit in their warehouse? Do I get charged - again ??? She did not know.This is crazy! I get no info, no notification, no answers!! And they likely are going to charge me more !!! I was going to use them again in about a month, but . . . !!
