      I was an Alder security system customer, ********************** took them over and are charging me $64 dollars a month for another companies equipment, refuse to let me cancel and keep charging me to just monitor my old Alder device. Poor customer service. Can't wait for this contract to be over.

      Before you sign up with ADT, do all your research. I have been with ADT for a year and a half. Not because I wanted to, because I can not get out of the ***** contract they had me take. I have had issues with the replacement of the doorbell camera 3 times, the sensor in the front of the house has a big delay and I have been dealing with this issue since I got it. They told me that is was my internet provider and suggested that I get the eero. Which I did and of course it is costing me more money. I got the eero and I am still having the same problem. Now they are trying to sell me an upgraded system. I should have stayed with my RING cameras. Imagine this, someone runs up to your house, breaks a window or the door and ***** seconds later you get the alert on your phone. That is what is happening to me. I have been trying to get out of this big contract but of coups there is a penalty with a big price tag to get out.The reason I gave them 2 stars and not 1 is because their technicians and their customer service people seem very nice and easy to talk to. I just want out of the contract with no penalty. I was trying to avoid writing a review but I am tired. Something has to help.

      Had ADT for 20yrs, recently got a lower monthly payment, but they wanted to charge $150 to send service tech out. Then I realized they never put a window breaking unit in master bedroom & the old one was hardwired to a box I haven't had in years! I tried to cancel, but was told the new lower rate was a 3yr contract & would owe $1,200.44! I was told my equipment was paid off, but equipment was the money they were supposed to put in collection...they directly took the entire amount out of my bank account! BEWARE OF ********************** as they do not honor what they tell you

      GO TO BEST BUY OR ****** AND PURCHASE YOUR OWN SYSTEM. I was excited to get ADT. Im a provider. I care for individuals i my home. Adt allowed the convenience of announcing which door or window is opening. My clients elope and i used this for safety. 4 1/2 years later. I moved and transfered my adt. They told me to leave my equipment but bring the cameras. Which i did. A tech was sent to my new home and set up my service. My bill is on *** so they took my payment out monthly. I got a bill for almost $3000. I called them and they said that I was charged for the install and the equipment and a canc fee for my old account. Im confused. I most have spoken to collections, billing, accounts management, tech services for hours. I was told it was resolved. It was not resolved. Eventually They cancelled my account due to nonpayment. Even though they are still autodebiting my monthly bill? They said i am responsible for this bill. I am so confused. I moved, i trans my service i brought my equipment. I get charged for canx an "old account" i get charged for the equipment install and equipment that they told me to leave it. This is not fair and i need help.

      I upgraded my cameras to ****** nest wired, they used my old wires from my previous camera and charged me $1200 for equipment I could get at ********** for about$500

      ADT is the lowest-rated company in customer service. They have kept me waiting for two months for a refund of money charged without my knowledge. I called the corporate office, and the service was even worse. From what I can see, this company is in desperate need of intensive training in customer service. Not every customer is always right, but in my case, I know I am, given that they are trying to cover up their irresponsibility. They still have me going back and forth between managers, who should represent the image of the company. I do not recommend ADT, and I hope this review helps many people before using their services. Please make sure to do your research.******* ******

      None of their **** know anything. Been almost 3 yrs and they wont reimburse me for taking $59.99/month since I relocated in 2023. Spoken to several who transfers me to someone else in just about every ***** Long story! Its digital age and they say they cant reimburse me from Sept 23-NOW and only May 24 to now b/c they have no record of me using them since 2022 and sold my house and spoke to them who made me speak to relocation services Aug 23. 23 and moved from ***** to. ******** and arrived to Va Sept 2, 23!

      I was a client of ADT for 11 years. About a year ago, when my contract was up for renewal, I asked if there were any incentives to upgrade my equipment. I was told there were none, so I chose not to renew. I paid for two additional months to allow time to find another company with the equipment I wanted.After switching providers, I made sure to cancel my account and confirm that no balance was owed. During this process, I learned that ADT also manages Protection 1, where my payments had been sent. Each time ADT contacted me about a supposed balance, Protection 1 confirmed that no money was owed and the matter was resolved.Despite this, I have been called multiple times throughout the year by ADT demanding payment on a closed account. Each time, after back-and-forth calls between ADT and Protection 1, the issue was cleared. However, today I was called again, transferred six different times, and once more asked to pay on an account that should have been closed over a year ago.I am filing this complaint to request that ADT properly close my account, stop any further collection attempts, and cease contacting me about balances that do not exist. This repeated harassment has caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time..

      Wrongfully charged me for service I cancelled and have now sent a debt collector. Saying they never received notice from me of service cancellation even though I have documentation of cancelling the service

      ADT has been impossible to cancel and dishonest about their guarantees. I was charged a cancellation fee after moving, double billed for two homes, and billed for service visits that a representative told me would be free. My system never worked properly (cellular communication failures since February 2025), yet ADT refused to honor their 6-Month Money-Back Guarantee, inventing a rule about three technician visits that is not written anywhere. I am still being billed while also paying another company for working security. This has been a nightmare of misrepresentation and unfair billing.
