      I have had ADT for 2 years. When I sold my house I was given the option to pay $700 cancellation or get a device I could use in my rental house. I chose the 2nd option. I was paying for the service, but had some time between the day I sold my house to the day I moved into the rental. Figured it wasnt a big deal as I was paying for the service. After multiple calls from ADT **** ranging from not knowing why they called me to telling me I had to pay $700, it was infuriating that they couldnt figure it out. I eventually received a debt collection and after calling multiple times and being on the phone for hours at a time. I finally got an answer of oh you are on ADT + not pro anymore and the two programs do not talk to one another. Additionally every time I called I received a different answer. I asked them to go back to the recordings as calls are recorded but nope and they were not willing to work with me. I do like the unit, I DO NOT like the customer service. As soon as my contract is up. I am DONE with ADT.

      Worst customer service. I have been trying to cancel my service for over a year. I have been charged two yearly payments for a house I no longer live in. They have records of me cancelling the account, they just can't cancel it in their accounting system. I have spent hours on the phone passed from department to department with no luck. There seems to be no one at ADT that can actually cancel my service and return my payments.

      Cancer Medical panic button didn't work. Again Thursday. They know there's a problem it isn't connecting. The system hasn't worked for three years. I paid that bill every month there's solution is to not show up or when they do show up replaced the cameras. They have not even attempted to correct the problem.

      Terrible customer service. I have spent the past 3 months attempting to get a ****** refund for a double charge. Each agent continues to state they are working my claim, but I never hear back from anyone. The issue was caused by scheduling conflict and a discrepancy between retail sales and the warehouse, yet I am unable to receive any customer service other than lip service.

      I called to ask about capabilities with outdoor security cameras, specifically monitoring in the middle of the night when they see motion to deter individuals from getting too close to the house. The gentleman said absolutely we can do that and heres this magnificent quote. I specifically said I have all of these windows all of these doors and he said dont worry its all included. We never would give you a price and then try to upsell you. Well, not only do the cameras in the monitoring services that this business sold me not due what they were verbally telling me they would. I also had an additional $2000 bill because they didnt put all of the window and door sensors on the quote. what makes this even worse is when I called in and was talking to ADT I was telling them that the house next to me has been made into a criminal halfway house. I have two sexual offenders three Mexican drug cartel gang members my door has already been kicked in once and they felt that it was necessary to put a single mom with two young children in ***** way because they wanted to sell I am disgusted.

      Buyer beware-after 20+ years as a customer and reduced income I cancelled my service. Sales went from $69 per month to $24 per month to retain my business but when I could not afford to continue I was told they required 30 days notice and I was liable for that payment. Do your homework and find a better option than ADT.

      I signed up for a 3 year agreement where ADT would provide alarm monitoring service. About a year prior to renewal, I contacted them and requested a cancellation in advance of the actual termination date. They told me it could not be cancelled in advance, but said the auto renewal could be turned off. I agreed to this. Fast forward to today: I noticed that I was charged for an annual renewal of services. I contacted their account management team who brushed me off and said they dont refund anybody for any reason. The first ****** I spoke with said she saw notes from the call a year earlier of me requesting cancellation. The second ****** I was escalated to told me she didnt see any notes. I requested a supervisor and was told they didnt want to talk to me because it was close to the end of the shift. So not only was I charged over $700 for a 12 month renewal that shouldnt have happened, my contract states that the contract will auto renew in 30 day terms and that cancellations can be done if done at least 30 days prior to the renewal. It feels like they are taking advantage and assuming people wont read the contract like I did.

      This has been the worst experience ever. Pay for installation and my bill on time. One issue in the first year and hang *** in the automated service, no ability to reach anyone for hours unless you choose cancel my service. Which would cost $2,400. This is a security system company and you cant reach them for hours! On hold in the queue for 30 mi utes and it hangs up on you. For an issue with their equipment. I feel like Im being held hostage by this seedy company.

      Absolutely horrendous service. I've had ADT for ~3 years and the system has never worked properly. Calling the customer service line is a black hole and they do not verify you as a caller before giving out your private information. I had a technician come out, charge me a flat rate, and fix NOTHING. When I called back to have another technician come out, I was told that there will be another fee. The call center staff are rude and no manager will speak with me. I cannot say this clear enough. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE! If I could cancel today, I would, but they would charge me $900. Cannot wait for the day I can disconnect this awful service.

      Misleading and Deceptive Practices Beware!I am in ******, ******* and was never properly informed by ADT or their contractor that I was entering into a 3-year contract. The setup process was rushed, and I was assured that I could cancel without issue since I was renting a home likely going on the market. Months later, when the property was listed and I needed to move, ADT refused to cancel my service and instead tried to force a transferdespite me not having a new permanent address and staying somewhere that already has its own security ********** Im being held responsible for high cancellation fees and the remainder of a contract I was never clearly made aware of. After reading other similar complaints, its clear ADT uses deceptive tactics to lock customers into long-term agreements. This is unethical, financially damaging, and deeply disappointing.
