      I recently bought a new system for my home. I spent approximately 1700 on a three year plan. Im in my first year. Ive had a sensor on a door malfunctioning. I finally got an adt rep. **** wanted me to pay ***** for a replacement sensor. I explained it should be replaced under warranty. **** would not. Finally I told them to remove this sensor from my security system. It was my entry door from the garage. I feel it should have been replaced free since it was malfunctioning.

      Heres a strong, professional complaint draft you can file with the BBB against ADT:---**Complaint Against ADT Alarm Company**I have been a loyal ADT customer for over 9 years, but my recent experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. On **February 20, 2025**, I called to cancel my alarm service. I was provided a cancellation reference number and was assured that my account would be closed.Since that date, ADT has **continued to bill me** for a service I no longer use. Every time I call to resolve the issue, I am transferred from one agent to another, with no resolution. On multiple occasions, I have been hung up on mid-call after spending extended time explaining the situation.This is the **worst customer service experience** I have ever had. The lack of accountability and professionalism is unacceptable. I have wasted hours trying to resolve something that should have been handled on the first call.If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will not only refuse to pay the improper charges but will also **cancel all my remaining accounts** with ********************** and ensure I never recommend their services to anyone.I am requesting the BBBs assistance in having ADT:1. Immediately stop all billing for the canceled account.2. Provide written confirmation of the cancellation.3.       Be careful w/ ADT in *******/*********. I bought a house in ********* and there was ADT security equipment so I called them. I called ADT and they said the equipment at the house was still usable but they would need to come out and program it properly. When the tech came out, he told me the equipment was not usable so I wanted asked what would cost to get something up and going, He quoted me over $1000 dollars. When balked it, the tech said, let me speak to my manager. They came down 50% which was still a lot but it did not include cameras. I already have working cameras on the house. When he know I was not biting the tech gave up and said he could activate my current equipment but since I did not have internet yet, he could not do the cameras. I thought it would be better to do it all at one time so said I would call once I got internet. The tech gave me his card and told me to call. I did once I was ready to go but he ghosted **** then asked my husband to call ADT to see if he could do any better than me. He called and again the *** said the equipment we had was workable so we made another appointment. Another tech came out and I told him of my experience and he looked at the equipment and told me we couldn't use it. He then said he would fix me up. He did his estimate and again it was over $1000 for the same set up that I had. I was perplexed because I had told him about my first experience and that I felt taking advantage of. He told me he could give me a 20% discount on the equipment. I said, the last *** said he could give me a 50% discount. He said that was a one time offer. I told him that I felt that what ADT was practicing unfair trade practices He then told me he already know the whole story on my situation before coming. That made me mad and I asked him to leave which I have never done before. I ended up getting an invoice for 0 $ but for monitoring at $51 a month. I went out to his truck and asked him about it. He said that is just what they do.

      My mom tried to cancel her ADT and was in tears. The manager refused to cancel her service until she explained why she wanted to do it then talked for another 30 minutes to tell my mom why they were better than other services. She was rude and arrogant, very unprofessional. My mom was being overcharged and went through 4 different people before someone finally told her it would cost more money if she wanted to have the ADT app on her phone. Over priced service with horrible customer service. !!

      I have been with this security service for probably over 20+ years. While reviewing my bill, I found an outstanding charge for over $200. I just had equipment installed at my new address (in June) and paid $438 at the time. I was told today after inquiring about an outstanding balance, that this was also for my new equipment, outside of what I had already paid. This is outrageous, so when I move again, I will sever all service with this security and look at DIY.

      I signed up for ADT Security Services about a year ago. I was never able to get it installed. I tried to contact the company; however, they never returned my calls. They are taking money from my credit card at different times of the month. I have tried to dispute the withdrawals, but for some reason I can't. I feel sorry for anyone that gets caught in their trap.

      So just recently got ADT and the tech guy decided to hard wire my wireless doorbell had it 2 days before the battery died and now itll be another week and half before it can be fixed they tried charge me for service call however the tech took it upon himself to hard wire my battery doorbell very unhappy and very unsatisfactory regret getting them I wouldnt recommend them to anyone

      We started with ADT control and few years ago. After 1 year we moved, called the company, and the swapped us to ADT blue. They confirmed they canceled ADT control over the phone, but would not send us paper or email confirmations. We found out they were charging us for ADT control at the old address and ADT blue at the new one for 2 years. We called, got passed around many times, and they said they would open a ticket. We called several days later, there was no record of a ticket. We get passed around again. We ask for them to email us a copy of the ticket, they said they would but hung up and did not send the ticket. Nothing wss resolved, nobdy called us back, and we were out 2 years of double payments. After a few months of research, we swapped companies and canceled ADT blue over the phone, the only way they let us cancel. Again, no confirmation outside of the call. We removed our payment method, yet they still charged us a month later.

      I highly recommend you do not sign up with this company. I signed up and had their service for two and a half years. I turned my home into a rental and had ADT swap services over to the new tenants and cancel my account. However, they are still charging my credit card along with the my tenant's card. I have called them three times and each time have been told they are not charging my card and my account has been deleted. I have told them time after time that my credit card keeps getting charged, but they just pass me off to some other operator who tells me it's "fixed" when it really isn't. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY

      WORST SECURITY SYSTEM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! My system is still down!!Issues were never resolved!!Stuck in a 36 month contract!!They dont deliver!!! You could be dieing or hurt and they wouldnt care!!! They locked me out of my house in 100 degree weather. My dogs were inside, I begged the tech to please hurry because it was hot and I couldnt tolerate the heat much longer. He put me on hold for 5 mins then the call dropped! Just before I dialed 911 I remembered the installer downloaded the adt app on my phn. Which is how I was able to get in. An hour went by and so did the rest of the day and do you think he would have called me back to see if I was OK or if I got in? You think he wouldve called the authorities to do a welfare check on me? No!!! I could have been dead for days before anybody found me? Plus my dogs were locked inside. I called and complained and they set me up with an appointment and do you think they showed? No! I couldnt speak to anyone of a higher authority because they like playing pass the ***** I want out of this poor excuse of a SECURITY SYSTEM because THEY ARE NOT SECURE!!! Then I found out they somehow have us stuck in a 36 month contract that we cant get out of and still have to deal with this steenkin service!!! They will continue to get bad reviews from me on all their mistakes until they release us from this contract! Were just paying for Air Time is all, they havent and arent providing us with the service they promised us! But were still paying for it, whats wrong with this picture? Id give them -5 Stars if I could!!! Yes! Theyre calls are recorded so I hope someone reads this and is able to hear all my calls and settle this before I continue to throw out more bad reviews!! DONT GET SUCKED INTO THIS SERVICE!!! Theyre deceiving!
