Guestreservations.com is an internet scam. They list a price but when you book your card is charged hundreds of dollars more and it’s completely non refundable. The internet and the Better Business Bureau are full of people who were tricked the same way I was tonight. Beware of this company and their aliases (they are also getaroom.com.)

If I could give no stars. I would. Absolutely awful customer service. We made the mistake of reserving a room for three nights via guest reservations.com Prior to reserving a room, I read over cancellation policies under FAQ and it clearly states you may lose $25 by canceling and 0.00 for modifying reservation. I realized right after I made the reservation that the dates were incorrect and I needed dates a week prior. I cancelled the reservation following the directions of how to cancel and modify according to FAQ but was informed all $1851 was non refundable. I called Guestreservations.com and they said there was nothing they could do accept request from the hotel partner a waiver for a refund. The mysterious hotel partner at this company is a silent partner and guest reservations.com personnel are not allowed to disclose who it is. This mysterious partner said no too. I asked to reinstate the original dates I reserved. Not convenient but we’d make it work. Again, the answer was no. They said that if the hotel, Scandinavia Ishavshotel agreed to allow cancellation without penalty, a refund would be issued. I called Scandinavia Ishavshotel and spoke to hotel reception and when she looked up our reservation, we had until 6pm the day of our reservation to cancel and receive a full refund. Now I’m really confused because Guestreservations.com said the hotel penalties were applied. She provided an email for hotel management to request refund approval. Their response was no. What a scam! I will never stay at this hotel. I’m from US but mostly Norwegian and this trip was about visiting my home country. Already have a bad taste. Stay at a hotel that won’t take $1851 from your account and you get absolutely NOTHING. Guestreservations.com is out of Dallas, Texas. Way to go guestreservations.com taking advantage of US military members.

Complete scam. I booked on a deceptive website that looked like the hotel chain. They quickly booked with no rewards applied so I asked to cancel and was informed of their no cancellation policy. This was a booking greater than a month out and cancelled in less than 3 minutes of booking. Deceptive advertising and difficult to reverse charges if you’re even able to do it.

"I had a disappointing experience with guestreservations.com. Despite Wyndham Hotels' request to change my reservation date, they were unable to accommodate it. Not only did they fail to provide the service I paid for, but their customer service was also unhelpful, keeping me on hold for extended periods. I advise against using guestreservations.com based on my experience."

I drove 3 with my kids to be told I didn’t not have a reservation it had been canceled. First the hotel said to overbooking, then I learned this fraudulent booking site never sent the payment the took from or what ever transaction they sent over declined. But I was out $472. They were no assistance finding another room and offered me a refund as if I was going to let them keep my money. I thought I was on the hotel site. The email even came from the hotel. This site is a scam.

Like many, I thought I was booking directly with the hotel. Booked the rooms and afterwards, realized I had made a mistake on the dates. There was no cancellation allowed. I guess they hid the "no cancellation" allowed when booking because I never was asked about it. They processed the payment so fast! It's been a nightmare. Cancelled the reservation hoping it would reverse the charge. NOPE. Prior to cancelling and the only reason I cancelled it was because the hotel stated they showed not such reservation. Needless to say...this is a $900 hard lesson for me. Jesus, how do these people sleep at night. *If I had the option of NO STAR, I would of selected that.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! Overcharged me about $300 compared to booking directly through hotel. NEVER USE THEM. Go straight to the hotel website instead. Also lies to me and said I could get the honors points when I got to hotel and I cannot.

I booked a hotel from a site that had the hotel name in the URL so I assumed it was their official site, boy was I wrong. This company charged me the same price as a nights stay for their taxes and fees and I immediately cancelled it and was only refunded $105 dollars out of the $358 I paid. This company is shady and karma will catch up with everyone who works for them and with them, enjoy hell :)

I am concerned about deceptive practices by Guest Reservations.com. I recently needed a room at the Frontenac Hilton in St. Louis for check-in on April 8, 2024 and check-out on April 9, 2024. When I googled for the the Frontenac Hilton website, I saw a site, hiltonstlouis.guestreservations.com. I proceeded to book a room for the night of the 8th, thinking I was booking through a Hilton website. I was not. Here are my issues:
    1. My credit card was billed immediately for $251.39. The website had listed the room for $179.00. For the moment, I thought that the additional cost was for the usual taxes and fees. I called Guest Reservations to inquire about the additional cost to which they replied they were a third party booking agent. The reservation was non-refundable, and they had charged my card. So, use it or lose it! I had No opportunity to rethink this booking.
    2. The companies fees appear high. When I talked with the representative at Guest Reservations and explained the situation, she agreed to refund 10 percent of the fee, or $25.13. That brought the cost down to $226.26. When the hotel provided a receipt, the bill was for $169.34 (room and taxes included). Guest Reservations total bill was $259.39, which is a $56.92 difference even with the $25.13 refund. If they had not made the refund, their total fees would have been almost 50 percent of the room's cost.
    3. In addition, I did not receive my Hilton Points. I speculate Guest Services were awarded the points. This does not seem just since this reservation was made on my Hilton AMEX to which the points should have accrued to my account.
I would encourage everyone to avoid this site. It is deceptive and expensive. Being elderly and not very tech savvy, I feel deceived. I will always ensure with whom I am booking in the future; however, I do not believe they should be allowed to use the Hilton name in their domain that leads one to think one is booking with Hilton.
