IT'S A SCAM!!!! I thought I was making a reservation through the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City official website but I was wrong. I made the reservations but I canceled five minutes later because I found a better price on another website, they let me cancel and once I canceled they said that they wouldn't give me a refund. When I was booking the website asked me for my credit card information and it didn't give me a full summary of the total amount until after I paid. I expected to review the total cost before finalizing the reservation but the reservation was immediately confirmed without providing an opportunity to review or confirm the booking details. As soon as the booking was confirmed I checked my bank account and the payment was already pending! I talked to an agent to rebook the same room and they said that I could rebook but I had to pay for the room again. When I requested to speak to the manager they refused to connect me with the manager. I called the hotel because Guest Reservations told me that the hotel could approve a refund or reinstate the room I booked. COMPLETE LIES!!! The hotel couldn't do anything since Guest Reservations is a third party website and isn't affiliated with the hotel. This is how Guest Reservations tricks people into booking with them, next time I am making sure I pay attention to the website name.

Total scam. Tried to appear as if they were the actual hotel site. Fees exorbitant! My $147 hotel room became $225+ and no recourse.

They over inflated price for room that was much less on Marriott website for palm desert villas 2 and then added 200 plus in fees after I confirmed reservation which I thought was the Marriott website to begin with. 5 min later I called them to cancel after seeing ridiculous price but was told I would be charged 300 bucks just to cancel. I called in 3 different times and none of the associates really tried to resolve anything for me. I’m super upset and feel like I was robbed. Do not use this website!

Total SCAM. Wish I’d read this site first but the website name appeared to begin with the hotel I was booking, so I thought i was booking through the hotel itself. Didn’t realize until the end it was a third party site. Couldn’t get refunded. Tried everything including a dispute process through my bank card. Kept the reservation since couldn’t get a refund. Then Guest Reservations retaliated for my bank dispute by cancelling my reservation three days before I need it. I called and they said that they had “cancelled because I had disputed,” but when asked if that meant I’d get a refund they said they had 90 days to decide that part. I begged them to either refund me or put the reservation back in place. They would not guarantee a refund, but after ten minutes on the phone they agreed to put the reservation I never wanted back in place. To add insult to injury, they could not guarantee the hotel would reinstate my reservation by the time I need it—3 DAYS FROM NOW. All of this for my first night in a new country after a two day flight! VERY STRESSFUL. Luckily the hotel staff has been helpful and I am confident they have rooms. Guest Reservations, on the other hand, is despicable.

I was charged $287 because I could not use my reservation. I was diagnosed with Covid on the morning I was to check in. I called the hotel but received no assistance to recover my payment. The website advertised price was $195 per night, but I was charged $287 for a room I could not use due to Covid illness and high fever and an inability to travel. Very unfair and very deceptive pricing. Will never use this hotel or chain again.

Island Inn and Suites Piney Point, MD
    Scheduled check in 5/18/24

Reached out to Choice Hotels who owns the property who say they can not help because the reservation was made through Guest Reservations. Guest Reservations will not respond to requests for assistance. Horrible company!

I am writing to file a formal complaint against GuestReservations.com for misrepresentation and poor customer service.

On March 11, 2024, my husband, searched online for the Hilton Garden Inn Laramie. He clicked on a link that appeared to be the official website for the hotel. During the booking process, the website requested his credit card information before revealing the total amount due. Expecting to review the total cost before finalizing the reservation, he entered the information. However, the reservation was immediately confirmed without providing an opportunity to review or confirm the booking details.

Realizing the mistake immediately, my husband contacted GuestReservations.com to cancel the reservation. Unfortunately, the representative he spoke to was uncooperative and refused to assist, stating that it was too late to cancel. It was only after further investigation that we discovered the reservation was made through GuestReservations.com, not Hilton Garden Inn Laramie. We also found numerous negative reviews about GuestReservations.com, highlighting similar complaints of misrepresentation and poor customer service.

Additionally, we are disappointed with Citi Bank's response to our dispute regarding this charge. Despite explaining the situation and providing evidence of the misrepresentation, Citi Bank failed to conduct a thorough investigation. When we contacted Hilton Garden Inn Laramie directly, they confirmed that Citi Bank had not reached out to them for verification.

We believe that GuestReservations.com engages in deceptive practices that mislead consumers and that Citi Bank did not adequately support us in resolving this issue. We are out 809.99 and still had to book a room with the actual hotel. We request that the Better Business Bureau investigate GuestReservations.com and take appropriate action to prevent further consumer harm.

Made a reservation with Guest Reservations. Stupidly, I thought I was going through the hotel. That was my fault, I didn't look at the site closely. My credit card was charged the same day that I made the reservation. When we arrived at the hotel, it was overbooked. They sent us somewhere else. When I discovered my credit card had been charged for the original booking, and the actual night we stayed at the alternate hotel, I contacted the original hotel. They has not charged us and told me to contact Guest Reservation. I contacted them and after a voice menu and a lengthy time on hold, was informed that they would contact me within 7-10 business days about a refund! Called my credit card company immediately and disputed the charge. Will be more careful in the future to be sure that I am booking directly with the hotel.

I read the many negative reviews over the last few months and I am shocked to see that I have had the exact same experience as described by multiple victims of those scammers. I became overcome by a wave of sadness because I wish I had known but, in reality, I didn’t know what was going on until it was too late and there was no way to predict this outcome.
Like others have said, I wanted to book a room directly with the hotel. I thought I was on their website but actually it was spoofed without my knowledge and I didn’t realize that I was on GuestReservations.com website. I saw the price for a room and it looked good so I booked. But after I entered my credit card and paiement was made, the price suddenly jumped almost double. I tried to go back and cancel this operation but to no avail. I called the “customer care” but it was a robot with a woman voice instructing me that the reservation was non refundable!!! (They refunded me a very small amount). I called many times and finally talked with an agent who told me the same thing: “non refundable”. When asked where the company was located, he responded « OFFSHORE »!!! This company is not even registered legally in the USA.
It makes me sad that more people will fall prey to those fraud criminals. Someone or some higher office in this great country needs to stop this company from making more victims. I shudder in advance, knowing that those criminals can act in all impunity.
As to me, I request the full refund!! I am a single mother and for me, the money I lost is a lot!!!
This business deserves NO star. They are a fraud!

Same as everyone is saying. Their website looks like hotel website, they advertise a price but then they charge a ridiculous amount of money for tax refund and fees. When you call nobody is able to tell you what they are actually charging. Very misleading and should not be allowed to stay in business. Unfortunately at this point I will link my hotel experience at Holiday Inn with them and I will try to stay away from both.

This website pays to be first in the google listings, and then charges over $100 for a booking beyond the advertised price. They have a no cancellation policy so that they can take your money no matter what. They should not be allowed to be in business. Don't fall for the same scam that I did.
