Like many of the other complaints that I have seen on this website, I have been duped by Guest Reservations. I made a Google Search for the Hampton Inn in Arroyo Grande, California. I later learned that the website that I came to was a duplicate of the Holiday Inn Website with the one exception, Guest Relations was added to the very top made too look like you were at a Hampton Inn. I made the hotel reservation with Guest Relations who was purporting to be the Hampton Inn. When I had to cancel my trip I contacted Hampton Inn only to discover that the monies that I paid had not gone to Hampton Inn, but to Guest Relations purporting to be the Hampton Inn as part of their scam. When I called the Hampton Inn, they told me I had a refundable room but I should confirm with the third-party that I would receive a refund. I told them I didn’t book with a third-party, that is when I learned I had been duped by Guest Reservations. I would like to have my $259.47. I have called the company’s many customer service numbers and it is a loop that never gets me to a live agent. This is unconscionable and clearly a deliberate bait and switch. I NEVER book with third parties and this is one of the reasons. Please refund my money.

Misleading website leads customers to believe they are booking directly with the hotel. Did not send reservation number with confirmation making it difficult to track down an actual receipt. Advertised price was misleading, and did not include significant fees (nearly $100). Scummy ‘company’.

Guestreservations.com appeared to be the website of the hotel where I sought to make a reservation. Not until the end did I discover I had committed myself — through an outside website/service — to a large, very large extra fee. The guest reservations.com website promises a discount rate- also untrue. The daily rate for the room was significantly higher than the one on the hotel’s real website- once I found it. The entire experience was a very expensive trick.

Very disappointed In the practices of this company. I thought I was booking a hotel reservation directly through the hotel where I was planning to stay, but didn’t realize that I was directed to this third-party service. I made a reservation that I assumed was cancelable, only to discover when I tried to cancel (6 months before the reservation) that there would be a several thousand dollar fee in order to cancel. The company, when I called, led me to believe that it was the fault of the hotel, but in discussing things with a hotel staff member, they were very clear that hotelreservations.com likes to create this image so that they don’t assume responsibility for their policies. The emails that they sent me confirming my original reservation were very vague about cancellation terms and conditions. This should have been much more explicit on the website when I made the reservation.

This company rips off consumers. We were charged $325.99 to cover taxes and service fees. We believed we were on the hotel website when in reality, we were making our hotel reservations on guestreservations.com. Our total bill for 3 nights stay was over $1,042.99. When booking directly though the hotel, taxes and cleaning services are factored in to the bill. theses people charged us Fri, Jun 7 $279.00; Sat, Jun 8 $249.00; Sun, Jun 9 $189.00 plus the $325.99. This website is ripping off the consumer and I am asking the BBB to investigate. Who ever you are, DO NOT reserve a hotel through this website.

THIS COMPANY IS DECEPTIVE!!! When booking a hotel, we believed that we were on the hotel's actual website. We ended up paying nearly $100 more than what was quoted!!! I immediately called to cancel this reservation and was told that we could cancel, but the charge would remain. Guestreservations.com uses deceptive practices to lure customers into believing they are on the hotel website, and they will not allow cancellation without paying exorbitant fees!!! Shut this business down!!

This site is deceptive and fraudulent. As others have noted, you think you are on the hotel's website when booking. They then charge service fees that are over 50% of the hotel room's cost. Of course the transactions are non-refundable. For a 3 night hotel stay, I'm paying $200 more through this fraudulent website. They literally have done nothing to earn this inflated cost other than provide a deceptive webpage. When I try to look up my reservation, guestreservations.com says it was booked through getaroom.com and it is going to redirect me to that website to manage my reservation, except it never takes me to that new website - it just keeps spinning. I can't confirm my reservation online nor do I really know if I have a reservation at this point, but they've charged my credit card. They have the nerve to say this about themselves: "As an independent travel network, we can get you the same deals you expect with a bigger travel agency or direct from the hotel". This is complete BS.

The Delaware attorney general should be looking into this business and filing charges for deceptive business practices. How many more people need to be defrauded by this company before something is done?? I completed a formal complaint against them with the DE AG and would encourage everyone else to do the same: https://attorneygeneral.delaware.gov/fraud/cmu/complaint/

Scam, hidden fees. Avoid at all costs. Very shady business and I feel horrible for the others they've taken advantage of. Fake reviews, hidden fees, poor poor customer service.

When booking a hotel, I believed that I was on the hotel's actual website. I booked the room for $379.95, and guestservices.com charged me $217.63 in "tax recovery charges and service fees". I immediately called to cancel this reservation and was told that I would need to pay the cancellation fee of $211. Guestreservations.com uses deceptive practices to lure customers into believing they are on the hotel website, and they will not allow cancellation without paying exorbitant fees.

IT'S A SCAM!!!! I thought I was making a reservation through the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City official website but I was wrong. I made the reservations but I canceled five minutes later because I found a better price on another website, they let me cancel and once I canceled they said that they wouldn't give me a refund. When I was booking the website asked me for my credit card information and it didn't give me a full summary of the total amount until after I paid. I expected to review the total cost before finalizing the reservation but the reservation was immediately confirmed without providing an opportunity to review or confirm the booking details. As soon as the booking was confirmed I checked my bank account and the payment was already pending! I talked to an agent to rebook the same room and they said that I could rebook but I had to pay for the room again. When I requested to speak to the manager they refused to connect me with the manager. I called the hotel because Guest Reservations told me that the hotel could approve a refund or reinstate the room I booked. COMPLETE LIES!!! The hotel couldn't do anything since Guest Reservations is a third party website and isn't affiliated with the hotel. This is how Guest Reservations tricks people into booking with them, next time I am making sure I pay attention to the website name.
