I purchased tickets to a concert last night from what honestly believed was a presale through Ticketmaster since the tickets hadn’t even gone on sale yet. Once I got the email saying they would be delivered a few days before the show, I realized it was a third party ticket broker. I immediately sent them a message asking for a refund because I don’t use ticket brokers. I then called immediately once they opened & was told there was nothing they could do since they have a no refund policy. I don’t understand how brokers can sell tickets that haven’t even gone on sale yet. I assumed it was a presale sale and I was just lucky to get in earlier. I don’t understand all the ins and outs of ticket buying, but I don’t use brokers. I’ve never even heard of this company. I was told different things that contradict each other & when I finally asked to speak to someone else, I was told no. When I asked to speak to someone who could troubleshoot this I was told no. I was told there was nothing they could do & if I was unhappy I could sell my tickets (that I don’t even have in my account until the week of the show). How would I even have time to tell them? I tried to fix this immediately. It hasn’t even been 24 hours. How does a resale ticket company have the ability to sell tickets that haven’t even gone on sale yet? I want a refund.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value.”
Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Janelle Monae, they were able to see the tickets available and the Delivery Method. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $532.05 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $532.05 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

I am submitting a complaint against online event ticket reseller TicketsCenter for unfair business practices that have deceived me into purchasing concert ticket seats at an inflated cost. The company did not inform that tickets wouldn't be available for weeks, in my specific case tickets will be delivered up to eight week after purchasing them, just 2 days before the actual event. As of now i don't where my seats are located, as seat number is not provided until tickets are delivered.
On 2 May 2023 I bought 6 tickets Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles CA on 9 July 2023. Shortly after receiving confirmation email (order ID: 53178551) I realized the mishap. The email showed 'tickets delivery date by 7/7/2023' and no precise ticket seats was provided.
I immediately called the merchant and asked to cancel and refund the order, but their response was that 'that all sales are final'. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. I called the merchant again and was told that all i could do is to resell tickets myself to some other unfortunate buyer.
After researching on the actual venue website i realized that this reseller overcharges over 50% of the face value tickets, i ended up paying $641.95 for 5 tickets when same tickets would have costed $427 including fees on original venue website. Since purchase over a month ago, tickets have still not been delivered.
As resolution I would like the merchant to cancel my order and refund my $641.95.

Thank you for reaching out to us in reference to the concerns of our valued customer. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position amidst these circumstances. Tickets-Center is proud to maintain one of the largest ticket resale platforms and to provide excellent service for both our buyers and sellers. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is monitoring all potentially affected events and working to update our customers regarding any delays, postponements, and cancellations. As always, we are working to protect every buyer and seller who uses our site. We are continuing to operate within our terms and conditions, which must be agreed to prior to placing any purchase or creating any listing on our platform.
Customers will continue to be protected by our buyer’s guarantee, meaning they will receive a full refund for any event which is cancelled and not planned to be rescheduled. If an event is rescheduled, we must adhere to the terms of use agreed to at the time of sale, which state “If an event is postponed or rescheduled, and the original tickets are valid for entry at the time of the rescheduled event, your order will not qualify for a refund.” Aside from this claim, our customer filed a financial dispute, which has been resolved in our favor. We appreciate our customer’s continued patience and understanding while Tickets-Center continues to monitor, communicate, and follow through in providing excellent service for orders to live events.

I bought two tickets for a concert. I received a confirmation email from Tickets-Center with a link for a ticket transfer that directed to Ticketmaster. Upon clicking on the transfer link, I was only directed to an error page. After talking with Tickets-Center support, they told me to create an entirely new account with Ticketmaster with a new email to be able to accept my tickets. The whole thing seems untrustworthy, I also received a transaction attempt from Google at the same time as the charge for the tickets.Business Response

I purchased tickets to see Tom Jones on May 5th (Order #51297179). Ticket Center sent me several emails saying that I could accept the tickets by clicking on a link. When I clicked on the link each time, it said "Oops something went wrong." I tried over and over to accept the tickets and never could. I reached out two customer service over five times and they just kept basically reading a script saying that it was my browser that was blocking the tickets from being accepted. We tried on five different computers with three different browsers and on our cell phones numerous times but the tickets could not be collected. The IT person at our law firm stated that it was not a computer issue He also tried on number computers with numerous browsers and could not get the tickets.
I started the process of trying to obtain the tickets on March 28th and called multiple times and opened up online support help but no one could tell me anything other than it was a computer error on my end. We could not get the tickets, despite trying up until the date of show and missed the show. We lost $532.05 for tickets we could not access.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns of our valued customer. Tickets-Center operates on the secondary market and our mission is to connect customers with individual ticket holders and amazing live events. To this end, we’re committed to providing the best possible customer service—and maintaining a simple, transparent fulfillment process.
In this case, tickets for our customer's event were transferred electronically through a third-party platform to the email address associated with the order on 2/28/23. The customer contacted our customer service team regarding issues accessing their ticket transfer, at which point our customer care team attempted to assist the customer in accessing their tickets. It should be noted that valid documentation was obtained that confirmed the tickets were transferred to the email address provided by the customer at the time of checkout, and as such, the ticket delivery was marked as completed.
While we understand and regret that the customer may have experienced issues using the third-party platform, Tickets-Center is not associated with any venue or primary ticket market. As such, these issues experienced by the customer were outside the control of Tickets-Center. As it presently stands, the customer's order does not qualify for compensation and we consider this matter closed. We appreciate the customer's understanding throughout the matter and if they have any further questions regarding their order, we encourage them to contact our customer care team.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my issue. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When I purchased tickets from Ticket-Center I assumed that they would have a platform in which to transfer tickets. They may have been transferred to my account (although Ticketmaster has no record of receiving any tickets in my account), they owed the consumer a platform in which to obtain the tickets. After multiple phone calls and emails and conversations with online help., NO ONE could tell me why I could not access the tickets. They had NO ONE from their organization who could transfer them for me or even help me obtain them. Once they took my money, they were of no help in completing the transaction. I even asked for a refund when I could not transfer them and they denied it because I had not transferred them.

Thank you for responding. As previously stated, Tickets-Center operates on the secondary market and therefore does not generate tickets nor operate a platform through which tickets are directly transferred. Instead, we facilitate the transaction between sellers and buyers by obtaining the applicable delivery information from the customer and allowing our vetted sellers to complete the delivery accordingly. Because we do not own or operate the platform through which our customer's tickets were transferred, we cannot speak to the issue they experienced when trying to accept the transfer. We can only rely on the documentation we obtained confirming a proper delivery and offer assistance in troubleshooting, which our customer service team did attempt to do within their scope as facilitators. The documentation that was obtained serves as valid confirmation that the tickets were properly transferred by the seller, which marks the order as fulfilled in accordance with our Buyer Guarantee. Therefore we cannot offer compensation for a fulfilled order per our terms and we consider this matter closed.

May 17th, 2023 I went to the website of the venue (Stanford University) where my 17 year old child will be performing in a marching band. I am not from this area. I was immediately directed by the internet to get tickets from this website. I called Stanford and they did not sell tickets directly for this event as it was not an athletic event. When I went to the Tickets-Center.com site they showed very limited seats in the "nosebleed" section only available. I contacted Tickets-Center.com to ask why there aren't closer seats. They said it was a "Sold Out" show. They lied. I bought the ticket advertised as $109. With no seat assignment. I was distressed as this was to see my son perform. The only show I can attend. When my child came home from school, he shared that that was a fraudulent site and bought me a ticket at the link that is provided by his marching band. There were thousands of seats available and many very close to the field. I reached back out to Tickets-Center.com and they said that they only "Promise" a ticket that there is no actual seat or ticket available yet. They refused a refund of the invisible ticket promise. I am on a limited income and suffering from a Traumatic brain injury that makes pursuing this very difficult for me. I need assistance. I want companies like this that leach onto venue websites to be stopped.Business Response

I purchased what I thought were concert tickets from this company, when I got an email saying my order will be processed and that I wouldn't actually have tickets until 8/2/23 and there is a chance tickets won't be available when the concert is 8/3/23. This raised some red flags and after doing research I read the reviews on BBB. In the same day since purchase I reached out to the company multiple times to cancel my order, considering my payment was still in pending status. They refused to cancel my order and told me I could sell my tickets when I won't even have received tickets until the day before the event. They will not cancel the order or cancel the payment. I have contacted my bank to stop payment all because this company won't cancel the order. All I want is peace of mind so I can purchase actual tickets from a reputable ticket holder company or the venue itself. It is such a nightmare and you can't get in touch with the company over the phone you get hung up on and the chat feature offers no help at all they just refuse to refund cancel or assist in anyway shape or form.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns of our valued customer. Tickets-Center operates on the secondary market and is not affiliated with any artist or venue; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. And yet while Tickets-Center does not own or generate tickets, we do process thousands of successful orders each day—and each order is given the full protection of our 100% Buyer Guarantee. This guarantee promises that any tickets customers purchase on our marketplace will be valid for entry to their event—and that if tickets are deemed invalid, the customer will receive a full refund. In our measures to maintain this high standard, we carefully screen each seller to ensure that their listings are legitimate and distributed properly.
Nevertheless, because the hundreds of sellers on our network process thousands of orders each day, mistakes do occur in some extremely rare cases. After investigating this matter, we have determined that this order was one such case. We have been in contact with our customer via email, informing them that a full refund has been distributed to their original form of payment. As such, we consider this matter resolved. If our customer has any further questions or concerns regarding this or any other order, we welcome them to contact a member of our customer service team.

The business is deceitful by pretending it is the venue ticket seller. They shouldn't be allowed to sell tickets for twice the price of the official ticket seller. It is the first thing that comes up in Google so most people think it is official.
I would never have made the purchase of I had known. This is price gauging and illegal because they are buying and reselling at twice the price.Business Response

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All tickets listed on our site are owned and priced by individual sellers based on those sellers' assessments of changing factors such as customer demand. This means the price is not based on the tickets' original price, or face value, and may be higher or lower than that original amount. As noted above, the customer placed their order fully aware that they were purchasing resale tickets and that the price paid may not be reflective of the price printed on their tickets.
Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.
Regards,
Tickets-Center

Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic.
