I bought 2 tickets from Tickets-Center to watch Notre Dame in Lincoln Center last week. I paid $230 for each ticket after tax and fee. When I went to the theater, I realized the ticket only worths $49 and the seat was in the 4th floor and along the side walk! Moreover, the occupancy rate of the show at that night was around 50% - 60%. Unsold seats were everywhere. This means it was not a popular show that requires people to pay premium to get a seat. I am very frustrated how Tickets-Center can sell tickets for the worst seat with a 4 times premium charge. I called them for explanation. But the customer service staff can only say they are a 3rd party and sell tickets from the 2nd party they even don't know.

I have attached the original tickets invoice from Tickets-Center, the ticket and the standard ticket price from Lincoln center's website for reference.

I hope no other consumer like me will have similar issue from Ticket-Center. This website is a scan to charge much higher premium for tickets.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Fast, easy and secure secondary marketplace tickets. Prices may be above or below face value."

At the time of purchase, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, "I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the order summary below. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. Some venues may require proof of vaccination or negative COVID test. You are responsible for checking venue health and safety requirements for entry." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking "Place Order", your credit card will be charged $460.00 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. As such, ticket listing prices are set by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors. As noted above, this means that the price paid may not reflect the price printed on the ticket the customer receives. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy. We maintain that all order details and relevant purchase terms were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed.

Tickets-Center.com mimics the true website for kcstarlight.com to lead you to believe you are purchasing tickets directly from the theater. On the day of the show when I tried to get my tickets. I click on the link url: wallet.kc starlight.com because this company took my money and did not legitimately even have tickets from a seller. I paid $390.00 for tickets and a parking pass and do not have tickets. I also purchased tickets for another up coming show at the same time for around $500.00 and have no tickets. Emails that they send have buttons that do not work like contact us. When you call they send you an email with a link to the legitimate wallet.kcstarlight.com which of course doesn’t have the tickets in there. I called the legitimate box office and purchased legitimate tickets for $150.00 which is what I will do in the future due to Ticket-Center.com. The company should cease to exist due to the harm they cause consumers.

The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value.”

During the checkout process, customers are able to view the delivery format for their tickets. The selection the customer made was electronic transfer, where sellers transfer the tickets using the platform that the venue has issued tickets through. Customers receive an email with instructions on how to access their tickets, as well as a separate email which contains a link to claim their tickets, advising them to do so. If a customer does not see the transfer that was sent to the email address they provided at checkout, the email they received with instructions on how to access their tickets advises them to contact the customer care team immediately. Furthermore, if customers encounter any issues with accessing their tickets through their link, they are welcome to contact the care team for troubleshooting.

On 7/8/23 our customer service agents spoke with the customer and attempted to troubleshoot. The records indicate that the original ticket transfer took place on 5/29/23 for their Legally Blonde and Jagged Little Pill and on 6/2/23 for Jagged Little Pill Parking and no issues were detected with the original transfers. As such, we maintain the customer’s orders was successfully fulfilled and aligns with the Buyer’s Guarantee. Additionally, due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with the customer. As all order details in question were accessibly and visibly displayed prior to placing their order, we consider this matter closed. Please note that our customer has filed financial disputes on all of their orders, which remain active. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their disputes, we encourage them to contact their financial institution.

I am writing to highlight this company for scamming and attempt to get a refund for a purchase made 1 July for concert tickets on Tickets Center. I purchased 3 tickets for a concert in August and then questioned the legitimacy of the site and seller when I received a “confirmation” email with links that didn’t work to Contact them immediately if you had issues with the purchase. The total amount charge was not detailed in the email and it stated I would not get the e-tickets until 2 days before the event—which also didn’t seem legitimate given they are electronic. I called my credit card services less than 12 hours after to see if they could stop the transaction and the rep said no phone number was listed in the transaction. I sent an email to Tickets Center asking for the transaction to be voided and when they replied days later they said all transactions are final. I also called the phone number on the website (1800-8337698) and only connected to an automated message that said All sales are final and that they can not offer refunds. I issued a complaint with my credit card and the state AG. Since doing so, I did some research on the company and see they have a history of scamming customers and price gorging. I am hesitant to accept any email from this company and question how a company equivalent of scalpers could continue to operate and scam people.

My order number is 54985161 for $313.50. I’ve since learned I was charged over 3x face value with unclear service fees.

I purchased tickets to a concert on May 30, 2023. In a subsequent email, it was indicated that my e-tickets would be delivered on or before July 03, 2023. When I had heard nothing from Tickets Center about my tickets in a month, I emailed their customer service team on June 30, 2023. In that reply, I was promised that my tickets would arrive by 7:30PM on July 02, 2023. I received no Tickets on July 02 or July 03. The email states that I would receive my money back, but have not. In their FAQ questions page, it states they will keep my money as credit toward a future purchase. This was not indicated throughout the purchase process. Additionally, if one selects more tickets through their site, it's highly probable that those tickets would not arrive either and they just keep holding on to your money until you eventually stop bothering. I'd like a full return of my money, as they did not deliver what they promised in the time that they promised.

We would like to ensure our customer that every order placed on our site is backed by our Buyer Guarantee, which means that their tickets will be authentic, valid for entry, and delivered prior to the event. I purchased 4 tickets on 6/25/23 to the Goodman Theater. I realized the date would not work and clicked the “cancel” button on the email I received, but the button wasn’t linked to anywhere. I tried to find a contact but when I clicked around it didn’t have an option for cancelling. (Click 1 if you have a question about the time, click 2 if this, 3 if that, but nothing about cancellations.) I had other matters to tend to so didn’t have a chance to delve back into this until the morning of 6/26/23.

I reached out this morning (less than 24 hours after purchase) via email (again with the select 1, , 2, 3…) and then selected live chat to discuss the button and request a refund. It is clear they get requests for refunds frequently because they had ready-made responses about the legality of their business practice (anticipation about stop payment, legal action, etc.) and the benefits of my selling the tickets myself. “You could make a profit!” the customer service agent assured me. As for the cancel button, apparently it only works until the seller okays the purchase and then it is absolutely non refundable. This could range from minutes to days, all benefitting the seller with no protection to the buyer.

I was disappointed, but I understood the predicament of the customer service rep.

After I got off the chat, I decided to see about selling the tix and visited the Goodman Theater’s website to check ticket availability for the date. I discovered tickets at the Goodman were available for the day I purchased, but for $45. This Ticket company charged $80, nearly double the cost. So no, I won’t be selling these on my own for a profit.

My complaint : lack of time to cancel the order, cancel button not working, and the ready response for complaints, something I now suspect they have to do regularly because of the price they charge for tickets.

The company needs to have a specific timeline CLEARLY posted; not an unspecified “when the seller excepts it” practice.

6/25/23 Three tickets were purchased for an event in Nashville, Tn for myself and 2 others,
    Total $591.59.
I Immediately discovered there was a conflict in dates and event could not be attended. Within 15 minutes I replied to company I needed to cancel this order and the reason why. Charge was still pending on credit card. After talking with a rep, I was informed they could not credit my card. I also had purchased travel insurance, and will not be able to receive full amount with them. ($197.20) and not sure at this time, the insurance will even reimburse as I am awaiting a decision fro
m them. Inability to refund the full amount is unfair and unjust. I have no actual tickets in my possession.

The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value”.

Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Suicide Boys, they were able to see the tickets available and the Delivery Method. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $359.87 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $359.87 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers.

We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Regards,
    Tickets-Center.com

I was looking for tickets to a show at Ryman Auditorium. I went to google and typed Ryman tickets and the website for Tickets-Center.com appeared at the top of the search. It did not say - Tickets-Center.com. It showed "Ryman Auditorium Tickets" in the description so I believed it to be the official website to buy tickets. It was not. (I have attached a picture of the misleading search results).

I ordered two tickets at a total price of $640.04.

I received a confirmation email with a link to contact them with any concerns at 12:36 pm on June 23rd. (picture included) I clicked the button to "contact immediately" and found a phone number. I called that number at 12:53 pm to cancel my purchase as I realized their website was NOT the official website for Ryman. I spoke with a customer service representative for 13 minutes to try to cancel and they refused. I also asked to speak to a manager and that was also refused.

The official Ryman website had tickets available for $139.50 for 2 tickets. (pdf shown)

I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and that dispute has been filed. I did that at 2:58 pm also on June 23rd.

I would like a refund of my purchase and would like this company and others like it to have a 24 hour time in which refunds would have to be allowed.
