This company posted an advertisement making it look like a news article for WKYT television in Lexington Ky. The ad appeared in my Facebook feed and looked like it was WKYT announcing Dave Chappelle concert coming to lexington Ky. It had a link to what looked like Rupp Arena which is the venue. So I thought I was purchasing tickets directly from Rupp Arena. It literally looked like the Rupp arena website. I put in that I was looking for 2 tickets and thought the price shown was for the two tickets but it turns out it was for each ticket so when I completed the purchase, the cost was double what I had anticipated. The. I received an email from tickets-center which I had never heard of nor intended to do business with. I contacted Rupp Arena directly and they said that it was a scam, they use ticket master. They said they received a lot of calls with similar situation as mine. I feel the websites were deceptive, the disclosures were vague and so was the pricing. I tried the contact us links on their two emails and they did not work and their was no phone number. I replied to one of the emails and received an auto response with a link to chat. I utilized that chat to tell them I wanted to cancel the order and they refused to do so. Telling me I can resell the tickets and my only avenue of recourse. I wasn’t satisfied with this outcome. Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Dave Chappelle, they were able to see the tickets available and the Delivery Method. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $1,282.07 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

In attempting to purchase concert tickets via Ticketmaster, the website "tickets-center.com" was boosted to the top of the search engine return via paid service, and I mistakenly clicked on it.
I realized my mistake immediately after completing the purchase, and reached out to the Customer Service line at (800) 259-5354. I was told that under no circumstances would they issue a cancellation of the pending hold on my card, or a refund.
I have been through 6 calls over about 5 hours since July 23rd to the 24th, and have been bounced between call centers in India, and the "escalation point" in Dallas, TX. At each turn, I have been told that no manager/supervisor was available to address my request, and they would not be voiding the transaction. They also throw out random times about "how long it will take to dispute charges with your bank" to try and discourage you. Their script is inconsistent however, with some representatives saying 4 weeks, and others say as many as 12.
I have reached out to the legal contact email given as well [email protected] and have yet to receive a response.
This should not be allowed to happen to anyone else. The dishonest representation of the services, and the constant stonewalling is appalling.
Who this company is, and what they are doing to consumers needs to be exposed.
While I want a cancellation and refund, exposing this company and their practices is just as important.Business Response

Transaction Date: 7/14/23, Amount Paid: $82.95. I was babysitting and the child I let play games on my laptop used the saved card to make the ticket purchase without my consent. I reached out to customer service while the charge was still pending and I had not gotten the email to accept the tickets and they refused to help me. I did research on the website and feel like their marketing is extremely predatory and that the sell the products under false pretenses. I still have not downloaded any tickets so I do not even have them physically or digitally. When you go onto the site, it says that the tickets you are buying are "selling out fast" or "there are only a few left" this is a lie because the tickets bought are still very much available and not selling out fast. They also use fire emojis and other popups to block suspicious wording and their predatory terms. Additionally, they use the popups to hide the fact that they are able to send you tickets up to the day before the event. Many people have had problems with this extreamily sketchy website and people who dispute these charges are left without tickets and no refund.Business Response

In order to complete an order on our site customers must complete an interactive multi-step process that requires the customer to input information at several points. On 7/14/2023 our customer completed a purchase for the Dayton Dragons at Fort Wayne Tincaps game in accordance with the following checkout process. Once our customer selected their event they also selected the ticket listing they preferred then were presented with the ticket delivery method. After selecting a delivery method they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This summary also detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $82.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customer input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to the terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the order summary below. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. My husband ordered tickets for a baseball game from this company, who I believe misrepresented themselves as a verified seller of tickets for the team in question. We only purchase tickets from verified sellers, we never use scalping or resale services. We never would have purchased these tickets if the company had correctly represented themselves as a scalping company. Their site was the first search result on Google and the site itself displays their affiliation as a secondary seller in a subtle banner that is not intended to catch the consumer's eye. They then have a no refunds policy on any ticket sold, so they can keep the exorbitant fee they charge per ticket. I did not realize the site I was purchasing from was a third-party ticket site. I was not informed that the tickets had to be transferred to me. I received an email the next day, after the charge showed up as pending on my card, that I wouldn’t even have access to the tickets until 2 days before the concert. I feel uneasy that I had no guarantee of receiving the tickets AND my card had already been charged. I contacted costumer service and asked for a refund. The online chat person told me that was not possible. Overall, this website seems suspicious and I will have my guard up in the future when buying tickets online. Tickets-center led me to believe that they were the actual venue I was trying to buy tickets for. After I bought the tickets I got a message that said I would get the tickets the day before the concert and that made me suspicious. I did more checking and found that this was a scam. I tried to request a refund but they said all sales were final. When I looked at the ticket price at the venue for seats in the same section the price they charged me was more than three times higher ($330 for 2 tickets instead of $99).Business Response

Tickets-center.com displayed tickets for Dave Matthews Band at 6:30pm on July 15 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia MD. I bought 5 of these. After paying they sent me an email with a button to “Accept” tickets for some band called Illenium. (We did not attend the concert; never heard of that band; not what we were seeking) I didn’t realize this and clicked accept. This was a bait and switch. I called in, they couldn’t cancel and pointed me towards the insurance policy I purchased. They refused to cancel, but they tricked me with a bait and switch. This was deceptive behavior; they scammed me out of $707.50 and won’t fix it.

I selected tickets for Moulin Rouge at The Kennedy Center for Aug 17,2023. Upon receipt of the ticket confirmation via email the tickets were for a different show not the show I ordered. I contacted Tickets Center by phone and they refused to correct or refund me.Business Response

It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value”
Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for To Kill a Mockingbird , they were able to see the tickets available and the Delivery Method. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $467.54 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $467.54 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.Regards,

At the time of purchase, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, "I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the order summary below. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. Some venues may require proof of vaccination or negative COVID test. You are responsible for checking venue health and safety requirements for entry." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking "Place Order", your credit card will be charged $101.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. As such, ticket listing prices are set by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors. As noted above, this means that the price paid may not reflect the price printed on the ticket, or the price through other markets. Please also note that in this case the customer's order was fulfilled on 5/24/2023 immediately after their order was confirmed. At that time both an order confirmation and the tickets were sent to the email address entered by the customer at the time of purchase.
Prior to receiving this complaint, but after their event, the customer contacted our customer service team to report that they had not received their tickets. They were then informed that their order had been fulfilled and their tickets had previously been emailed to them. We would like to note that our customer did not download their tickets after they were delivered; however, had they required assistance prior to their event this matter could have been resolved. As valid tickets were delivered in a timely manner the customer's order was fulfilled in accordance with our 100% Guarantee and as such does not qualify for compensation. If our customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department; at this time, we consider this matter closed.

On November 14th, 2022, I mistakenly purchased tickets from this company and immediately called to cancel the order moments after ordering them. I was told that my order could not be cancelled per their policy. I disputed the charge with my bank and after a 3 month investigation, it was decided that the sale was valid and the funds were released to ticket-center.com in the amount of $3707.50. This was decided on January 26th, 2023.
On June 15th, I reached out via their live chat to find out where my tickets were and I was informed at 9:24 AM that 3 of my 5 tickets were resold and I would be receiving a refund for them. It was discussed to resell the remaining two tickets and our discussion was concluded.
On June 16th, I received that refund of 1950.50 for 3 of the 5 tickets.
I reached out on July 11th via their live chat to inquire about the remaining tickets or the refund. I was advised the remaining two tickets were sold.
I called and spoke with Tickets-center.com representative explaining the situation and was advised the refund was for all 5 tickets. 3 Tickets were sold on 1/31/23 and 2 tickets were sold on 6/15/23 an hour before I even reached out. This means that Tickets-Center.com still has 1757.00 and is refusing to refund me this money from my order since they resold my tickets without my knowledge.Business Response

It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. As noted in the claim, our customer filed a dispute with their financial institution regarding their transaction. We have addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. The financial dispute our customer opened was facilitated and determined by the customer's financial institution rather than Tickets-Center.
Our terms of sale indicate that "in the event that you dispute a charge and it is determined that the charge was valid and not the result of credit card or other payment fraud, we have the right to seek payment, including all associated fees, by whatever means necessary, including using collection agencies and legal proceedings. We may also mitigate our damages by relisting and selling, as the case may be, the tickets that are the subject of the underlying payment dispute." As such the customer's tickets were resold on their behalf and they have been compensated accordingly. We would like to clarify that the refunded amount of $1,950.50 represents the full amount for the sale of all five of their tickets. As it stands the customer does not qualify for any further resolution. If our customer has any further questions regarding this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the financial institution with which it was filed.
