On December 7, 2023, I purchased 2 tickets to a basketball game (Lobos vs Aggies) for January 16th. I don't attend sports events, nor purchase event tickets often, but wanted to surprise my husband. Therefore, I had no idea what to expect for ticket prices, nor did I know that there were unscrupulous ticket vendors. I was charged $234.95 for 2 tickets. I just downloaded the tickets and on the ACTUAL tickets themselves is printed "PRICE: $30.00." I understand that there may be some kind of fees tacked on to any tickets from sellers, but four times as high seems highly unscrupulous. I'd like the price adjusted for standard markup, which I read is (on the higher end) 40% not 400%!!!Business Response

At the time of purchase, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, "I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the order summary below. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. [..]" Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking "Place Order", your credit card will be charged $234.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center does own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control the ticket delivery date. Rather, the estimated ship date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation. Furthermore, since we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers, ticket listing prices are set by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors. As noted above, this means that the price paid may not reflect the price listed through other markets. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.
We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

I believe I am a victim of price gouging. I purchased concert tickets on 1/1/24. I thought I was on Ticketmaster's website, but was mistaken. I purchased two tickets for the below event and was charged $99.00 for each ticket. The price on Ticketmaster is $39.00 per ticket. I tried to cancel the tickets with TicketsCenter but was told all sales are final. My only recourse is to re-sell the tickets, which is illegal because they are well-over the ticket price at the venue.Business Response

On the top of the home page as well as every event page it is clearly stated: "Fast, easy and secure secondary marketplace tickets. Prices may be above or below face value."
As stated in our initial response, in order to complete their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, "I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the order summary below. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. [..]" Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was provided. Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking "Place Order", your credit card will be charged $261.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." at which time our customer proceeded to place their order. As stated previously, our customer's order was appropriately fulfilled with tickets they selected and aligns with our 100% Guarantee.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. In addition to this current claim, our customer filed a dispute with their credit card company regarding this order, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. This company sets the buyer up to fail and to lose money at their gain, with no recourse or accountability. They failed to honor a 20% purchase discount that was offered on subsequent purchases, and failed to offer any way to stop a mistaken purchase once it was in process, or to resolve it once live help was reached within ten minutes. There is no way to get a manager or decision maker to the phone or to reply to phone/email. If it's not criminal it's as close at it gets.
I accidentally purchased Trevor Noah tickets for Thu., 1/11/24 for $394 after purchasing the pair correctly for Fri., 1/12/24. There was no way to stop the transaction once I realized the mistake, either electronically or live with cust. service. There was no way to transfer to the purchase to the second pair or Fri. tickets either. Afterward, I received the Friday tickets, but weeks later, still had not received the Thu. tickets, despite several calls and emails with customer service. My only option was to try to resell the Thu. tickets, which they don't let you do through their site. And they do not require the seller to transfer the tickets until two days before the show, effectively preventing your ability to resell the tickets.
Weeks later, with no tickets, I asked AMEX to help me dispute. Once this dispute was in place, I received an email with a picture of tickets, but they are still not live, transferable tickets. Since they aren't in my Ticketmaster account (because it turns out this company is not part of Ticketmaster), I also cannot resell them.
Tickets-Center will not discuss or help while the dispute is active, and even having deactivated the dispute, they will not help retrieve the tickets. They are given a script to "call your financial institution" and steadfastly hold it like robots.
Please warn consumers not to do business with this horrible company. They pose as an affiliated company they are not, and set out to screw the buyer at every turn. Dispicable business practice.Business Response

I just received the letter from Tickets-Center.com claiming that they/the tickets seller forwarded tickets electronically on Dec. 7, 2023. This is not true. The sellers successfully transferred tickets to me for two shows I purchased to Trevor Noah on Jan. 12, 2024 and this took place on 12/7. I never successfully received the pair of tickets I bought for the January 11, 2024 show. I called or emailed Tickets-Center.com for help nearly every day until the day of the show. The transfer I finally received just before the show date was invalid and the tickets couldn’t be transferred into my account or used. Instead, it said that the tickets had been claimed already by another email address that wasn’t mine. I tried repeatedly to call and get help from Tickets-Center, and also emailed with their customer service, but they never resolved the problem.I just want to ensure this complaint is visible to the public so they can make an informed decision about where they want to purchase tickets. As a secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. Tickets-Center facilitates thousands of successful transactions each day with satisfied customers, so we are confident in the transparency of our checkout process. Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they are directed to input their email address and they are again presented with the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date of 12/28/2023. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. Our checkout process allows each customer several opportunities to view all details of an order, including the estimated delivery date of their tickets, prior to purchase. Due to the nature of our business as a secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center therefore does not set or control delivery dates. Rather, the estimated delivery date is set by the individual seller of the selected tickets and is dependent upon a number of factors, including when the tickets are released by the primary issuer based on demand, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation.

This website, Tickets-Center.com, sold me two concert tickets for a total of $144.18. I later discovered that the true face value of each ticket was only $9 each. I purchased these tickets months before the event so the concept of high demand-low supply was not why I purchased these tickets at this price; simply put, I was bamboozled. I would like the company to reimburse me the difference for charging me such an outrageous price that can only be described as ticket scalping.

After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $144.18 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. We purchased tickets for a concert at the Sanger Theatre in Pensacola. Directly below the “Place Order” button our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking "Place Order", your credit card will be charged $210.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.
Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. We have confirmed that valid tickets were delivered to the email address associated with the customer's order on 12/21/2023, shortly after the order was confirmed. Therefore, as it stands we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

Tickets-center.com is a horrible company and should not be allowed to do business. In good faith, I purchased tickets from them. They emailed me and said the tickets were not available. They failed to provide the service promised. They are hiding behind being a reseller yet didn’t perform the service offered. On August 2nd, 2023, I purchased tickets to the Chippewa Valley Symphony Christmas Concert from Tickets-center.com. The transaction of $248.45 was posted to my bank account the next day. The concert was on December 9th, 2023. When claiming my tickets at the ticket counter, I was informed my tickets were a part of a group order of 13 tickets, which had already been claimed. As the show was sold out, I had no choice but to leave.

The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value”
Our customer placed their order on 8/2/2023 for Chippewa Valley Symphony, which took place on 12/9/2023. The ticket delivery method for the event that our customer selected was Flash Seats, which means our customer's tickets were transferred online and needed to be displayed on a smartphone device in order to gain entry. When Flash Seats tickets that are purchased on a primary market website are resold on the secondary market, the seller will transfer the tickets from their account to the new buyer through the website they were originally purchased on. Once our customer creates their Flash Seats account with the same email address used to place their order, the tickets are no longer in the seller’s account and therefore not able to be retransferred. When the tickets are in our customer’s account, they have sole access to and control of the tickets. Ultimately, our records indicate our customer was sent their ticket transfer on 8/3/2023 to their originally provided email address; thus, we maintain our customer’s order was fulfilled with valid tickets within our Buyer’s Guarantee.
We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

Tickets-center claims I received my ticket from the seller through flash seats (by AXS); however, I already had an AXS account and can confirm the tickets were not transferred through there. I figured will call could confirm my seats based on the order evidence, as attached in the previous complaint, but they confirmed (again, as mentioned previously) there were only 13 purchased tickets from this seller that they had already given to other people who bought from them. I would assume you, tickets-center, has knowledge of who this seller was, and I would still like to receive a full refund from them. I’m certain they still made a profit from the other 13 people who did get to watch the show, as well as the people like me who were turned away. I would suggest whoever this seller is should be banned from selling tickets on your site in the future.

Tickets-Center facilitates thousands of successful ticket transfers each day with satisfied customers, so we are confident of the efficacy of our processes. During the checkout process, customers are able to view the delivery format for their tickets. The selection our customer made was electronic transfer, where sellers transfer the tickets using the platform that the venue has issued tickets through. Customers receive an email with instructions on how to access their tickets, as well as a separate email which contains a link to claim their tickets, advising them to do so. We have confirmed that the ticket transfer was received on 12/26/23 and maintain that the link sent was valid. If our customer had any issues accepting or locating the ticket transfer, we welcome them to call in.
