I wanted to purchase tickets for an event (Jurassic World live) and searched for it by name. I did not realize I was not on the official site and hit "buy tickets". The official site would have taken me to ticketmaster, where the tickets should have been $55. At tickets-center.com they were $150 plus a service charge, so approximately 1200 for 6 tickets.
Right after I hit pay, my daughter informed me that was way more than they should cost and I immediately tried to cancel. I reached someone on the phone, but they informed me that their policy is no cancelations. They offered me no help at all. Furthermore, I have not even received the tickets - just an email that states I will get them on March 15. The event is March 17, so I wouldn't be comfortable waiting that long even if they were the right price I have no confidence they will even be able to deliver me what they promised.
I did call my credit card company to dispute the charges, but as I made the purchase "voluntarily" getting my money back is doubtful. The no cancelation policy, even though I called immediately, is ridiculous. So, in summary, what I consider to be scam practice is that they make you think you are on official site, jack the prices up, say no refunds, and maybe or maybe not send the tickets.

I purchased tickets to a Broadway show at the end of March (March 29th) from them yesterday. They sent a receipt that had no proof the tickets exist, no seat number, and said I would receive the tickets in an email the day before the show. I asked for a refund since I did not feel comfortable without proof of seat numbers or some kind of proof that the tickets were real and their customer service repeated lines contradicting itself about how they can’t contact the seller but the seller has the tickets, the seller is buying the tickets so doesn’t have seats yet, the venue hadn’t released the tickets, and they are buying the tickets: they told me contacting the seller is impossible and a refund is impossible and getting proof of the ticket is not something they can do. Without a seat number I have no proof a ticket exists and that is unacceptable.

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. As such, Tickets-Center does own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control ticket delivery dates. Rather, the estimated ship date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Tickets-Center has no affiliation.

During the checkout process the estimated delivery date, which in this case was set closer to the event date, was available for the customer to review when selecting their ticket delivery method. Please note that this date is, as stated, an estimate. All purchases made on our website are covered by our 100% Guarantee which ensures that tickets will arrive before the scheduled event. In this case our customer's order was appropriately fulfilled prior to their event and as such their order does not qualify for compensation. Since all order details and relevant terms were sufficiently displayed prior to the customer completing their order we consider this matter closed. If the customer has any additional concerns pertaining to their order, we encourage them to contact our customer service department.

    Today 2/2/2023
I believed that I was on the Ticketmaster website. I honestly typed in ticket master, believed this came up as the correct site, purchased a ticket- found out after that it was a resale site. Then found out that the cost of ticket was 100 times what the cost of the ticket is going for. I have never seen or heard of ticket-center so I did not recognize this name as a third party site, but honestly thought it was part of Ticketmaster as my search.

    That is not a joke.

    Their response:
"Oh, I see. You wanted to cancel the order as you thought you are buying tickets from Ticketmaster. Please know that we are not affiliated with Ticketmaster however, your tickets were from them. It is normal for us to appear on your top search when buying tickets due to the long years being in this business. It just so happen that our company name sound like Ticketmaster but they are really different."

I recently purchased two tickets for a KC Royals game on March 30th as a Valentine’s Day gift for my fiancé through tickets-center.com, only to discover fraudulent activity. The confirmation email revealed a delayed ticket delivery, and further investigation exposed the company's lack of BBB registration and numerous negative reviews, echoing similar scam experiences.

In retrospect, warning signs, such as the inability to choose seats and a timed purchasing process, became apparent. The total purchase for both tickets amounted to $107.50, with an additional $1 charged to my card, possibly for testing purposes.

Despite the inclusion of an $8 electronic ticket transfer fee during the purchase, the delay in delivery was not disclosed. The email suggests potential ticket receipt as late as March 29th, the day before the baseball game—an alarming situation.

Efforts to resolve the issue with their customer service were met with refusal for a refund or cancellation, citing the necessity to receive tickets from the "seller" before transferring. Frustrated and concerned about the transaction's legitimacy, I promptly contacted Bank of America, only to learn that a dispute could be initiated after processing. I will file with my bank when I am able to.

I am requesting your assistance disputing this transaction and taking decisive action against this fraudulent vendor. A full refund is all I am looking for to resolve this matter. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

On November 29, 2023, I attempted to purchase two tickets for the Rolling Stones concert in Cleveland, Ohio, via Ticketmaster website. Once on the Ticketmaster site, conducting the purchase, agreeing to the price of $425.00 per ticket, a total of $850.00, for two tickets, put in my credit card info for his purchase, and the site switched to Ticket Center, and the price jumped to $1,849.50. I tried to cancel the purchase by calling the company directly after noticing the switch. They refused to cancel the purchase and suggested I resell the tickets alone. I explained what happened, and they couldn't care less. I then contacted my credit card provider, USAA Federal Savings Bank. They closed my card due to a fraudulent purchase and reissued a new one. Subsequently, on January 17, 2024, these charges reappeared on my new card, and the credit card company asked that I try to work it out with Ticket Center. I communicated with Ticket Center via chat on January 19, 2024, asking them to refund the purchase, and they refused, stating I could resell the tickets. Interestingly, when I put the Order ID: 59738407 and my email on their website, it returned, "The information you entered does not match our records. Please try again." I also told the lady on the chat, and she said, oh well, you should get your tickets in May/June. I have paid them $1,849.50 for two Rolling Stones Tickets (I do not have) and Parking $133.95, for a total claim of $1,983.45. This company is a scam, a ripoff, and a hazard to hard-working Americans and this great nation. Based on my experience and the hundreds of thousands that reviewed and filed a similar complaint against this so-called company, they need to be shut down and not allowed to do business.

Furthermore, our site is completely user-driven, which means that any selection made must be manually selected by the customer, including navigation to the site itself. As an independent resale marketplace, our site cannot be accessed through re-direction from another third-party site. Additionally, our site remains transparent about our role on the secondary market by clearly stating the following text at the top of every event and ticket listing: "“Fast, easy and secure secondary marketplace tickets. Prices may be above or below face value."

Once our customer selected the ticket listing that they desired, they were taken through the checkout process where it was again disclosed that we operate on the secondary market. Also disclosed at checkout was the price per ticket and all applicable service and delivery fees. Prior to placing their order, our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to our terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown was displayed. Directly below the “Place Order” button, our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $1,849.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers. Therefore we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
**In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered. This does not resolve the issue.  I still do not have the tickets and they claim the purchase order has been given and tickets have been purchased by a secondary party.  If that is the case, where are the tickets.  I do not want tickets, I want my money refunded because Ticket-Center is a predatory ticket scalping organization.  I called them within 5 minutes of the website switch from Ticketmaster to Ticket-Center asking they cancel the order and the reason.  The rep checked with someone and they have been singing the same tune from my intial call that all sales are final.  The reviews on any site per Ticket-Center clearly shows this buisness is frauding and taking advantage of good hard working Americans, and other nationalities.  Good reputable businesses will offer some timeperiod for a refund and surely not a "No Refund" standing rule unless they are crooked and know offering refunds will run them out of business.  I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (cfpb) and will continue ppursuing this business until I get my refund and leave "another" ugly mark on their business practices and reputation.  I cannot understand how a business like this look itself in the face scamming good people day after day.  Therfore, I REJECT the response and this complaint is Far from over.  v/r,

    Business Response

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to provide further clarification. We would like to reiterate that Tickets-Center is an independent platform with no affiliation to Ticketmaster. At no point during the checkout process can a customer be switched from another platform. Any order placed on our site must be initiated and thus completed on our platform alone.

Furthermore, as it was previously discussed with our customer, tickets are expected to be delivered on or before 6/14/2024 as this was the estimated delivery date provided by the seller. Our customer is guaranteed to receive tickets prior to their event per the terms agreed to at the time of purchase.

Finally, as previously stated, due to the nature of our business and the industry of the resale marketplace, we must ensure our policies honor all parties involved in the transaction. It was noted during the checkout process and agreed to by our customer that "all sales are final." These are the terms that have been set forth and we will continue to adhere to them. Therefore our customer is not eligible for compensation and we consider this matter closed.

    Regards,
    Tickets-Center

I got online after deciding we wanted to travel to Arizona to see the Mariners play in spring training. I googled mariners spring training ticket and went to the website I thought was the spring training website. I purchased 7 tickets to 2 games and then went back later wanting to get tickets to another game. There were many tactics trying to rush me such as a count -down clock and messages saying there were not many tickets remaining and a certain amount had been bought in the last hour from people in my area. I finally realized I had not bought from the mariners tickets website and had paid more than triple the amount. There were plenty of tickets still available, so it is a complete scam to make you hurry through your decision and make a purchase you normally would not have. As the games gets closer, the account I had to set up to get my tickets says I have one upcoming event. I probably won't even get all the tickets after paying all that money for nothing.

I purchased tickets to Hamilton 12/29/2023 at 6:49PM from Tickets Center.com for the 8PM March 8, 2024 performance at Koger Center. Order number 60563468. At the time I thought I was purchasing from an affiliate of the venue but became concerned when they would not verify. my seats. I paid $618.95 for two tickets. When I reached out to the box office of the venue I was told I was scammed and scalped and that plenty of seats were available that night for $139-29.50. I contacted the website immediately around 8:30 PM on 12/29/2023 and spoke to John only to be told no refund would be made available despite the order not even being processed yet and him admitting they do not actually have my tickets yet and he could not verify any details on the seats, etc. Please assist in this matter to get my money back so I can buy legitimate tickets to this event. SC has scalping laws as well. Thank you for your time.

I just purchased what was represented as "VIP Lot" Parking directly across the street from the Amway Venue in Orlando Florida. The premium price of $79 plus fees (total charge $109.50) seemed to match the location as represented by the icon on their map. AFTER I completed my purchase the parking ticket was emailed to me however based on the address now provided it is actually located 3 blocks away from where it was being shown on the map. I purposely selected the garage for an elderly grandparent who is unable to walk well. Only to find out after the sale was complete and my credit card charged, that what I was sold was completely different than what was displayed on their website. It was a total misrepresentation of the goods sold.

I thought I was purchasing tickets through the Colorado Symphony website searching the Ticket Office. I selected tickets after searching for the tickets that I thought were through the CO Symphony. After the purchase I saw the tickets were through a this third party provider which doubled the value of the tickets even though tickets were not sold out from the CO Symphony. The website that I purchased through did not provide the seat numbers of the 3 tickets I was attempting to purchase so I entered my email address and then entered information for billing as it site said my account would not be charged. I selected paypal as my method of billing and ultimately was charged for the tickets. I immediately called the company after realizing that I had been charged and the customer service rep stated "all sales are final and that I could resell them myself." Shady business practices here. I contacted paypal and paypal said the the vendor recieved payment so there was nothing they could do to recover the amount charged which included excessive fees.

The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value”

Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Colorado Symphony Orchestra - New York City Ballet, they were able to see the tickets available. Once selected, they are taken to a page with an in-depth description of their ticket information, event details, ticket quantity, delivery method and any other notes related to the tickets. After confirming their selection, they were directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $433.80 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars. Some venues may require proof of vaccination or negative COVID test. You are responsible for checking venue health and safety requirements for entry." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $433.80 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

    Regards,
