THIS IS A SCAM.... THEY RE RESELLING TICKETS FOR HIGHER THAN COST, THAN NOT GIVING TICK RIGHT AWAY... NO GUARENTEE ON TICKET, THEN THEY POSITION THEMSELVES ABOVE TICKMASTER TO CONFUSE THE CONSUMER ITS B/S

    Business Response

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Tickets-Center, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Tickets-Center is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value.”

Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Georgetown Hoyas at Creighton Bluejays Mens Basketball, there they were able to see the tickets available, the Delivery Method and Expected Delivery Date (EAD). Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they were presented with the Delivery Method and directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $275.50 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Once our customers input their payment and billing information, they were prompted to click “Continue” and under this button it states: “Your account will not be charged yet.” Then, our customer is required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms stating, “I agree to the Terms & Privacy Policy. I have reviewed the Order Summary above. I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations. All prices are listed in US Dollars." Below the terms, our customer’s order total breakdown is reiterated. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $275.50 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Tickets-Center is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Tickets-Center, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. It should be noted that the link containing the ticket transfer was sent to the email address provided the same day the order was made, shortly after Ms. ***** made contact with our customer care team. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.

In November 2022, I went online for Padres spring training tickets. This website appeared to be the official site for ticketing for the venue so I proceeded with the sale. They put a timer on the sale page and everything made it appear there was a high demand and I was at risk of not securing tickets so I purchased. Once I realized it was a scam site I tried to cancel, but they said all sales were final. I tried to immediately freeze the transfer with the credit card company but they would not do anything until the charge posted.

It's been a few months and ticket center replied to the credit card company saying since I clicked on their acknowlegements that I agreed the sale was final and they would not refund the purchase. The credit card company is no longer willing to assist.

However, ticket center never sent tickets. This is not buyer's remorse. Ticket center is fraudulently spoofing real ticketing sites, and sends generic responses to the credit card company to hold themselves harmless.

I purchased five tickets from this site and have nothing in return.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
**In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered. The credit card company rejected the chargeback because ticket center said the sale is processing and was held up becuase I filed a dispute. Now that that is settled, there is no reason ticket center can't secure the tickets I ordered.  They are publicly available through the real site.  If they haven't already secured tickets, than the sale is not final, and there is no reason they can't refund my money.  They haven't used my funds to pay their third party ticket seller so there is no excuse to deliver on the tickets or refund my money. They are saying they will deliver the tickets by THE DAY OF EVENT.  It is simply absurd to not deliver tickets until the day of the event, when they are available now, especially considering the event is out of state and I will have to travel to attend. This is a delay tactic because ticket center knows they are participating in fraud.  They initially denied refunding my sale and instead advised me to re-sell my tickets to recoup my money.  How can I resell my tickets if they won't give them to me?  How are they willing to resell my tickets for me if they don't even have them? This is a scam and fraud and ticket center is fully aware and proud of their participation in theft.  They spoof the real site, optimize their search results to be higher on the list, and use timers to amp up the sale pressue and fine print loopholes to make them appear justified.Bottom line, I paid for tickets that are available for sale.  They refuse to send me the tickets and are refusing to refund.  It can't be both ways.  Send me the tickets now or give me my money back.

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address our customer's concerns. The Estimated Availability Date (EAD) is displayed prior to completing any order. Ticketholders using our site to resell tickets will list an EAD based on when they expect to be able to release the inventory to the buyer. This is an estimation, and may change based on a number of circumstances. In this case, while the original EAD was listed as March 26th, 2023; the inventory was sent to our customer via electronic transfer link on March 7th, 2023. We appreciate Mr. Hall's patience regarding this matter.

Tickets-Center.com provides customers with a 100% guarantee, which is outlined in our terms. This guarantee outlines that "(i) that your transaction will be safe and secure, (ii) the tickets will be delivered prior to the event, (iii) the tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than the tickets you ordered, and (iv) the tickets will be valid and authentic." Every customer will receive their tickets in time for their event, or they will be compensated as also explained in our terms. If Mr. Hall has any additional questions regarding his order, we welcome him to contact our customer care team.

I wanted to purchase tickets to a concert. I googled "Cake at the Mann Center" as that was the band and venue. Tickets-Center.com tricked me by sponsoring their search result to supersede the official venue's web page, and they made their web page look exactly like the Mann Center's complete with stolen assets and photos from the Mann Center's page. It then funneled me through a process that made me believe I was purchasing tickets directly from the venue as one normally would, and would receive my tickets after check out.

Once I checked out, I was told I would have to wait until the day of the event for someone to re-sell me a ticket, and I did not receive my tickets. This is not what I was lead to believe I was paying for - I don't know what I paid for because I can buy the real tickets right now on the official venue and had I not been tricked by Tickets-Center.com, I would have my tickets right now.

I contacted support and even though the order was still pending, they refused to cancel and refund it and told me instead I should sell the tickets on facebook - which I can not do as I don't have the tickets at all which is exactly the problem I'm trying to resolve. I'm upset that they charged me double the price of the tickets in this con as well, but most importantly I did not receive my tickets.

Their agents then tried to tell me to google resell options and sell my fake spot on their list to someone else, which would make me then liable if I don't receive the tickets in time and am able to transfer them down the line in time. This is a nonsense resolution and unacceptable. I want my tickets, in my name, official and authentic from the venue or I want the order cancelled.

Their policies and practices are illegal and unenforceable. I want my money back and the order cancelled.

I purchased tickets from Tickets-Center.com under the assumption that the ticket face value was what I would be charged. I would have never purchased the tickets if I had know about the ridiculus fees that I would be charged. This is price gouging and I don't care what the company has to say. They should have stated the fees before selling the tickets on line. I was so excited to be going to this event and then I just found out that the venue itself sells the same tickets for $65.00 vs. double that from Tickets Center. Then they charge a ridiculus amount in fees. I asked to cancel my order and get a refund and was told I would have to sell the tickets myself. Who in their right mind will buy these two tickets costing over $400.00 when they can go to the venue and purchase two tickets for less than two hundred. I am so distraught. I lost my husband and was looking forward to this event. I feel like I have been scammed. They refuse to cancel the order and refund me. They can resell the tickets I purchased. Buyer beware.

Tickets-Center.com operates an unfair, deceptive, and predatory business model. They have purposefully chosen a name similar to a more reputable company, and designed a website to mimic a more reputable company, and have figured out a way to divert unsuspecting consumers to their website without them realizing it. They purposefully deceive by utilizing the same branding colors of blue and white with similar font, and similar seat mapping functionality, in hopes that people do not realize it is not a primary marketplace. Only once the transaction is complete does the consumer realize that they were fooled into purchasing tickets for prices far above standard pricing. The company claims that by purchasing tickets the buyer and seller agreed to the purchase, when in reality an individual is not a market. No rational person would purchase tickets at such a high price if they weren't purposefully duped into it by this company.
Tickets-Center.com does not include a phone number on the purchase page, so there is no easy access to customer service as they do not want to be inundated with complaints and hope people give up. They have a Contact Us electronic page to submit, which I did multiple times, that does not elicit any contact back. They do not keep their place of address on their website to make it as difficult as possible to get through. I was ultimately able to talk to a customer service agent who acknowledged the company knows they are fooling people and unabashedly still does not provide cancellation or refund at any time, even immediately upon the consumer realizing they were deceived. This complaint is not about buyer's remorse or that the price was too high; this is complaint is about the purposeful deception by this company to lure consumers into participating in a transaction that was never intended. The personal goal is a refund of $671.50. But the societal goal is to protect the consumer and put an end to their deception.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my  issue.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While it’s true that I purchased the tickets on Tickets-Center website, the problem is that Tickets-Center misrepresented itself. The website led me to believe I was purchasing from Ticketmaster. Their tactics of mimicry and deception need to be addressed. They do not allow for a refund once the fraud has been identified. They do not have a supervisor available through customer service to address complaints. They do not have a physical address to which to send written correspondence. There is no confidence that the tickets purchased are legitimate based on the thousands of BBB negative complaints against this company. This issue is not resolved. Regards,

Thank you for responding. We appreciate the opportunity to further address our customer's concerns. As stated in our previous response, the message “Secondary market tickets. Prices may be above face value" is displayed at the top of every event page and ticket listing page. Additionally, every customer is required to check a box to complete their order, indicating that they have read our terms. The message next to this box reads in part: "I understand that this site displays resale tickets and that prices may be above face value. I understand that this site is not affiliated with any box office or venue. All sales are final."

To address Ms. *****' concerns regarding our address and the validity of her tickets, we would like again to refer to the terms and privacy policy to which she agreed. We are happy to direct Ms. ***** to our 100% Guarantee, as outlined within section 7 of our terms which begins by saying "The 100% Guarantee means (i) that your transaction will be safe and secure, (ii) the tickets will be delivered prior to the event, (iii) the tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than the tickets you ordered, and (iv) the tickets will be valid and authentic." We work to ensure our guarantee is upheld, and encourage customers to reach out to us with any concerns. Additionally, if customers need a physical address to contact us or provide feedback, that information can be found in section 12 of our privacy policy. Both our Terms and our Privacy Policy can be found in their entirety at the bottom of our website's home page, under "Terms and Privacy."

In addition to this current claim, our customer has filed a dispute with their credit card account regarding this order. We are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open due to the nature of the dispute process. We encourage our customer to contact the institution with which the dispute was filed in relation to any questions they may have regarding its process or outcome. As it currently stands, we consider this matter closed.

I was looking to purchase tickets for the Boston University Terriers hockey game that was about to start at the time. I did a Google search and landed on the tickets-center.com Google ad. It appeared to be the official ticket seller for the BU athletic department and claimed to have instant downloadable tickets which was important given the game was about to start. I went through and purchased the tickets at 5:05pm (game time started at 5:00) and my credit card was charged. But i did not receive the ticket download link until 7:13pm - after the game was over. Because there was no way to directly contact someone, i had to buy tickets from the box office at the field. I requested a refund for the tickets that were useless due to being delivered after the game and was denied a refund. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and tickets-center.com has fought my dispute. I am merely seeking a refund for a purchase that they did not provide in a usable manner.

Attached is the order confirmation email received by me at 5:07pm showing that the game starts at 5:00pm as well as the ticket download email showing that it arrived at 7:13pm.

wrong tickets were purchased through the company site, moments later a call was placed to correct the mistake and I was told once the purchase was submitted there were no refunds. I asked if I could get an exchange and
was told that was not an option either, despite me going back to the site to purchase the "actual tickets" that I wanted in the 1st place. Now I'm out of 247.00 for 2 tickets to a show that I did not use.

The top of every event and ticket listing page clearly states, “Independent resale tickets, prices may be above face value.”

Once our customer selected the ticket listing they desired for Tom Papa, there they were able to see the tickets available, the Delivery Method. Once our customer selects the tickets they prefer, they were presented with the Delivery Method and directed to input their email address. Please note that here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and number of tickets the customer has selected on the right-hand side. This breakdown detailed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total charge of $271.95 in bold text prior to entering any payment information. Directly below the “Place Order” our customer was presented with the message, "By clicking 'Place Order,' your credit card will be charged $271.95 which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees" at which time our customer proceeded to place their order.

It is also important to note that our terms state: The 100% Guarantee means (i) that your transaction will be safe and secure, (ii) the tickets will be delivered prior to the event, (iii) the tickets will be identical, comparable, or better than the tickets you ordered, and (iv) the tickets will be valid and authentic.”

Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain all order details were disclosed prior to checkout; as such, we consider this matter closed.

    Regards,
    Tickets-Center

I did not understand that this website was a third-party seller and that the price of my tickets could be more than double the original amount. I paid $266 for two tickets that originally cost only $58.75. That's more than a 100% increase in price. There's absolutely no reason why this company can not limit the amount the sellers can resell tickets. I tried to resolve this issue with Tickets-Center.com but they only told me that "all sales are final." It's truly an injustice to the consumer.

During the checkout process, customers are able to view the delivery format for their tickets. The selection our customer made was electronic transfer, where sellers transfer the tickets using the platform that the venue has issued tickets through. Customers receive an email with instructions on how to access their tickets, as well as a separate email which contains a link to claim their tickets, advising them to do so. If a customer does not see the transfer that was sent to the email address they provided at checkout, the email they received with instructions on how to access their tickets advises them to contact our customer care team immediately. Furthermore, if customers encounter any issues with accessing their tickets through their link, we always welcome them to contact our care team for troubleshooting. On 2/2/23 we spoke with our customer and attempted to troubleshoot and retransfer the tickets. The retransfer is a request we make with the seller and is not a guarantee. Our records indicate that the original ticket transfer took place on 9/3/22. As such, we maintain our customer’s order was successfully fulfilled and aligns with our Buyer’s Guarantee.

Prior to receiving this claim, we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain we provided our customer with their tickets in time for their event, we consider this matter closed.
