      I am so angry this company is a rip off. I should have known better when I saw the dish truck pull up. The tech hooked everything up real quick. After he left I attempted to turn nest thermostat to cool. I was in for a great shock. I was only getting heat. I spent a miserable weekend. They came back out the following Monday. Could not get it fixed, ended up telling me that it was not compatible. Please do not use this company. So I am out o$129.00.**********

      Installer of Nest thermostate told me what I already know and then accused me of having a **** system was not operational. Installer then restored my system and the **** system turned on without a problem. Then the installer told me I have an old **** system that's why it isn't working. Many units have the same **** system and I have seen them with Nest thermostats. Installer then said that he only has 1 hour per appointment and he had to leave since it was already over an hour.Basically paid $130 for someone to come out and not install my Nest Thermostat and tell me what I already know.

      Horrible experienceI highly recommend contacting another company to do any installation or troubleshooting work. Techs are hit or miss, and we had one come who seemed to have no idea how to do the work and spent the entire visit on the phone with someone else. Once finally installed, they absolutely do not stand behind their work. A 60-day guarantee is ******** to begin with, then when you call about issues, the support team claims they only do 30-day guarantees (despite my contract saying 60-day). Multiple visits, hundreds of dollars in additional equipment, and many months, I have 3 Nest thermostats that regularly disconnect or don't work at all. Calling another company to come rip them out and install something else. Will never work with OnTech again.

      I was having problems finding someone to install an attic antenna. OnTech was available. Their technician was knowledgeable professional and friendly. Completed the task as expected. Made sure everything worked. Left a clean worksite. Really listened to me and my concerns. I would use them again.

      When they are selling you a product or service, they are on the ball. But when you call because you need help or service, you are passed from person to person, then put on hold until you are finally disconnected. We were sold a yearly "membership" but was never sent a copy. Repairs could not be scheduled until we purchased the "membership". No one knows anything when you have a question. And apparently, the tech they send out is only required to do a diagnostic - no repairs. The tech also lied about us having other electrical issues in the home. The yearly membership is only $20 more than what you would pay out of pocket. Techs cannot be trusted. Company ***** in every way when it comes to customer service.

      We had OnTech install Simply Safe Security last week. The technician ordered a new motion sensor to replace the original defective one. Today we spent all afternoon trying to reach a knowledgeable OnTech person to send a technician to install the new monitor. We were told to do this by our service technician ****************. We could not get through to someone. We were on hold for hours. We are very disillusioned with OnTech. ******, **.

      Worst Experience with any Company I have ever used! I had 2 houses scheduled for Security. Entryways and one house with Cameras. The Tech seemed annoyed. He PURPOSELY let my dad's cat out and when I ran out he asked," did it get out?" I said yes! Instead of helping or just remaining on the porch,he went inside and STOLE ****** CASH from my purse. I called the Company and Police to make reports. Not quite a week later HR called me for the entire encounter. Which I gave precisely. That was on a Monday. She PROMISED she would call back by that ******** ( 2 days later), it's been over a week no call back. No care of not only the money I paid for the installation,or care for the 500 cash that their Tech THEY HIRED and SENT to my homes. I would not recommend. It's one thing for mistakes,but the Company is licensed and bonded and have zero care of you taking a loss by letting a dubious derelict that they send to your home for " installation".in your home to rip you off. It was more like HOME INVASION. Getting Security installed to protect you and your things to get ROBBED by their " Technician" Spare yourself the heartache and grief. Find a younger person with knowledge through your Church.

      Very disappointed! I had an appointment scheduled for yesterday afternoon between 4 and 6 PM to have a Ring doorbell installed. Appointment was confirmed via email that morning. I called the company at 5:59 PM to inquire when the installer might be arriving. They checked further and found that the appointment had been moved - to between 9:30 and 10:45 PM!!! Who in their right mind is going to let a stranger into their home at that hour? Not to mention that there was NOT ONE NOTIFICATION that my appointment had been changed! I spoke with 3 individuals during the evening (******, ******* and ******) - all were sympathetic, but could do nothing to help. ****** further indicated that the appointment showed the installer arriving between 9:45 and 10:45 PM - and since they are an hour behind me (Eastern Zone), that could've been close to midnight! I asked if he would be in favor of his mother answering the door and allowing a stranger into her home at midnight. They now have my credit card payment (which won't be credited back for **** business days). What a scam operation! They indicate that they have a 95% favorable rating - not sure who could be pleased with this customer service. And all of these people that I reached on the phone are working from home, so it is impossible to speak with a supervisor. Don't book with these people! Get your own electrician, if you need professional installation!
