1 starIn 1/28/23 ****** fixed a thermostat connectivity for a heating issue on the phone with their excellent customer support. After the fox, the heater still would not turn on. ****** then referred me to ontech services, leading me to believe they could diagnose the heater issue. The morning of the appointment(1/30/23), I confirmed before the appointment that the thermostat was working but I needed a heater evaluation. The ontech rep told me BEFORE the appointment that the tech would try to fix it and refer me to someone that could address the heater after looking at if if they could not fix it. Tech comes out, says thermostat is fine and claims to my employees he cant access the roof because there is a gate on it. Had the tech looked at the gate he would have seen you step over it. Instead, he fled town back to Phoenix with my $129 non-refundable fee. Laughing all the way. BUYER BEWARE. Tried calling ontech and they could care less. They were going to have him come back in two days but ontech themselves told me after he left and they could not get him to return 15 minutes after he left, call a heating person since this is urgent. So I did call a **** company since the ontech tech would not even look at the problem and the **** company evaluated it and ordered the part. Ontech should be ashamed to have the rep read me a script that the fee is not refundable when I complain that the tech did not complete the service promised after waiting two days. When I told them I would have to pay someone else, she read me the script again and said its just for setting the appointment?? What. Terrible customer service. In my business I make things right, or I lose customers and get reviews like this one which seems well- deserved.Review fromMonica C

1 starBuyer Beware! OnTech has misleading information regarding return/refund policy. I was pressured into signing up for a membership when a technician was in my home performing repair of a product. The welcome email I received after signing up for the members clearly states at the bottom "You will have up to 60 days to return or exchange all products and devices purchased on the OnTech Site or during an OnTech on-site service appointment." After just over a month I called to cancel my membership which they did, however they told me they do not provide confirmation numbers, emails or anything indicating I canceled the membership which was odd. When I called back to inquire about my refund because I had not received it after a couple weeks passed, I was told that I would have it within 7 business days. 3 weeks later still no refund. Now I'm being told that I did not cancel my membership within 30 days so even though I paid for a full years membership I would not be receiving any portion of my refund back and my membership is confirmed canceled. So basically I paid for a 1 year membership and only received one months worth of membership in which I never placed any orders for products or services, and I am out the remaining 11 months that are fully paid for because I paid for 1 year in full and they canceled my membership. These people and their services are terrible. First they collect money even before service, no specification on the way they going to do the job and worse more they asked me to wait all day by shifting the schedule time from one time to the other without any information but only find out when I called and end up lying that they came when they know they did not. Just close this c*** they call service and do it all no nothing.OnTech Smart Services

Great service from the over the phone sales side. I was impressed with how quickly they were able to get out and install an antenna. I ordered the device and the install in Monday. Technician came out on Wednesday. *** was professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend again as far as my experience is concerned.OnTech Smart Services

**** was a pleasant surprise. He was here on time and quietly did his magic. I enjoyed our conversations and even though I asked a lot of stupid questions he was very patient and concise with his answers and sometimes probably dumbed-down his answers so my pea-sized brain could absorb what he was saying. Not only was I impressed with his knowledge, but his ability to do his job the right way the first time at a pace that I did not feel like he was anxious to leave. Wow. Worst experience of my entire year. The technician took about an hour to drill one hole, another 25 minutes to s**** in one screw, used my bathroom, failed completely to install the second camera and it took me another 45 minutes to get a refund for that with his boss on speakerphone who seemed incapable of comprehending that I bought my doorbell and camera on my own and not through them. Then surprise another 30 mins for him to finish the first job on the doorbell I thought hed already finished. Never ending story. Basically it was 3 hours of me actively babysitting a strange sloth-speed man who got half the job done. Idk how I didnt snap. Honestly. Id prefer someone just break into my house then go through that again cuz at least it wouldnt be my fault for setting it up.OnTech Smart Services

If I could leave them negative stars I would, and I dont say that often at all! A technician came out, told us they couldnt install the nest doorbell we had- it would be easier for him to sell us a different one and install that one. It ended up being a bad product (didnt record 24/7 like I asked-the product I originally bought did though!). When I called customer service to help me with it- the supervisor was awful!! I work in customer service and I was appalled by the way they handled it. She wouldnt accept the product back and wouldnt come out to install the original one I bought without paying the full price again. The only deal she offered was a membership which I absolutely dont want considering they did bad work to begin with. I post this as a warning so others dont also hire a company that wont stand behind their service at all. ****** really shouldnt recommend them to install their products.OnTech Smart Services

On January 27, 2023, we received your review, dated December 27, 2022, filed with the Better Business Bureau. You said that you selected the installation of a wired Google Nest doorbell. When the technician arrived, he informed you that the wireless version of this doorbell would be easier to install, and you agreed. Eventually you found out that the features available on the wired model are not the same as the wireless one, specifically access to a feature on Nest Alert that records 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You would like the wired doorbell version installed, as it includes this feature. When we spoke today, you informed me that you already had the wired doorbell installed. I offered to refund the cost of the installation ($49.99), which you accepted as a resolution. Please allow three to five business days for processing.Review fromAlexander K.

1 starI paid $50 to have a technician come to my house and help inform me on which cameras to properly choose exactly from Ring so I did not fall into issues and then have to deal with exchanges/returns etc. When the installer came he told me I needed an adapter/out let installed by an electrician which I came to find out I did NOT. This led to the first incorrect purchase, the second camera he suggested for another angle I came to find out was not the correct one and I had to buy the one that already came with mounting. This is now after I placed my order with Ring and have contacted them and the order has been placed and on the way so they cannot stop it. This means I now have to wait another week for the products to arrive to then return them and then REORDER the cameras which I will have LOST my Black Friday discount on and hopefully receive those in another 2 weeks on top. This is an absolutely horrible company I will never use or recommend you to anyone for the headache you caused me.
