I received a bill from this company with a $90 fee saying that I did not pay to park in their garage, located in **********, **. However, I had a receipt that showed I paid for 2 hours of parking but did stay an extra 30 minutes. However, they did not explain how 30 minutes of parking resulted in an excessive fee of $90. The original 2 hours I paid was $5. When I attempted to dispute the fee, I was only given a discount to $70 but no explanation as to how the fee was calculated. When I asked for a copy of their policy and a new copy of my bill, I was directed to call their office and speak with a specialist. They refused to evaluate any further over email. I would like my fee to be adjusted to a less excessive amount that is more proportional to the original cost of parking in this garage.Customer Answer

You didn't pay for the full time your vehicle was on the lot. This fee is a flat rate penalty fee that is assessed regardless of the amount of time you are over the paid parking session. This is valid and we will honor the settlement you were already given.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
My request for an explanation of the fee was not sufficient and was not given a copy of the policy to further explain. I would like to understand how the fee was determined and where it is written in the policy.I was also not provided with a new bill with the prorated amount, as requested now 3 times. I am not able to pay by mail as preferred until I get a new bill. I will not be sharing my credit card information through an unsecured website.

On the red and white signs on the lot it states that if there is a violation you could be subject to fines up to $250.00 and this is well below that amount.Customer Answer

Complaint: 23639026
I am rejecting this response because:Hello, please send me the policy that states $90 for 30 minutes of parking.
Also, as I have told your specialist through e-mail, I will send a check for payment but will need a copy of my bill for $70 prior to payment. I am unsure as to why I received the first bill right away but have had to ask now 5 times for a new copy of my bill. I am willing to pay the fine and let this situation be resolved but would like a new copy of my bill to keep for my records. I believe this is a fair ask and do not understand why it has been so difficult to provide.
Sincerely,

That is a flat rate that is assessed for this violation on this lot regardless of the time.Customer Answer

Complaint: 23639026
I am rejecting this response because:I don't understand why my bigger issue of sending a revised bill is being ignored by this "business."
Also, is it a"flat rate fee" or "up to $250" because those statements are contradictory? It might help if you're more consistent and transparent in your messaging.
In any case, I was able to be helped by a specialist on the phone after holding for 1 hour and received a revised bill. The check has already been mailed, so this has been resolved and I no longer wish to communicate with this company.

On 6/6/25, I parked in a private lot for an event. I attempted to pay the posted $15 fee repeatedly, but the payment kiosk was down. I was issued a "notice of non compliance" from a company called "Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc" with an Aurora mailing address. The notice demands $97 or I will be sent to a debt collector. This is a 646% charge (546% fine). I disputed the fine on their site, and uploaded a photo of the broken payment kiosk screen with date/time stamp as evidence. The dispute was denied 3 separate times and an allowance to pay $77 instead (which is a 513% charge or 413% fine). I mailed a check for the original amount of $15, and the check was returned to me with a letter noting a presumed typo: "WE HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED TO SETTLE THIS NOTICE FOR $7700." They have also noted "our office will not respond to any further communication via regular mail, email, fax, or telephone, unless new information is provided."Business Response

On 6/5/25 I parked at LAZSeattle and paid for 3 hours of parking. The parking platform advertised that you can park up to 4 hours and pay for each additional. The platform only allowed me to pay for 3 hours at a time and it did not allow for an extension like advertised. I had to interrupt my very time sensitive work to go down to the parking spot and re-scan the code, to then purchase an additional pass for 2 hours (1 more than needed). By this time I had 12 minutes in between the parking passes unpaid, and was issued a ticket for $107. I immediately called the company and explained the issue, and filed a dispute. They got back to me 3 weeks later and still charged $87. I paid the amount since it there's no option for further dispute. This is unethical and exploitative, considering I paid for two separate passes- for longer than I made use of, and was only unable to pay the time in-between due to their faulty platform/false advertising.Customer Answer

You only paid for parking to 8:15pm and you the notice was issued and your vehicle was still there at 8:46pm. This is a violation that you were there longer than you paid for. This is a valid notice and we consider this closed and paid in full since you paid it already.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The parking times the business listed were fabricated. I parked from 11am -2pm and aain 2:15pm - 4:15pm. Due to their platform I was unable to extend the initial parking pass or pay for the full 4 hours in advance. I left the lot at 3pm so ended up overpaying.

I paid $14.53 for what I thought was 2 hours of LAZ parking and set an alarm to ensure that I exited the parking lot before my time expired. I recently learned that I only had an hour and a half on my parking pass and received a $102 notice from Parking Revenue Recovery Service for the roughly 30 minutes over time. This was an honest mistake and would have only been around $5 more for the 30 minutes. $102 minus $5 for additional 30 minutes = $97 overchargeBusiness Response

Unfortunately, there was 30 minutes not paid for and there is no free parking at any time on this lot. This is a flat rate penalty fee that is assessed regardless of the amount of time you are over your paid parking session. This is valid and upheld. On June 20, 2025, I paid $5.00 (plus $0.78 fee) to park at a private lot in ******, ** (Zone ******) from 2:48 PM to 4:00 PM. Due to a minor oversight, I failed to extend my parking time beyond the paid session.A few days later, I received a Notice of Non-Compliance from Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc. (PRRS), initially demanding $97, later reduced to $77 if paid within 10 days. While I appreciate the reduced amount, I object to the penalty as grossly disproportionate to the original fee15 times the $5 paidand not transparently disclosed at the time of payment.I reached out via their dispute portal and email. Despite my polite and reasonable attempt to explain the situation and offer to settle for a modest administrative fee, **** refused any flexibility and stated that unless the full amount was paid, the matter would be escalatedimplying a future threat of collections. There is no evidence of clear signage or policy at the lot, during payment, or on their website that explains how such steep penalties are calculated. This lack of transparency and the aggressive tone of communication borders on coercion, especially over such a minor violation.Business Response

We do see your payment for 1 hour and 12 minutes. You were on the lot for 4 hours so there was almost 3 hours that wasn't paid for. This is a violation. Complaint: 23634838
I am rejecting this response because:
The businesss latest response completely disregards the central issue of my complaint: fairness, proportionality, and transparency. Their admission that a flat-rate fee is applied regardless of the amount of time you are over your paid parking session confirms that this policy is abusive and arbitrary, not corrective or reasonable.
Here are the facts:
I paid $5.78 for parking on June 20, 2025, and unintentionally exceeded my time by less than 3 hours.
The lot was not marked with clear signage disclosing that a $77 flat penalty would be imposed for any overstay.
There were no warnings, reminders, or ***** periods provided through the app or system before escalating to a punitive fine.
I received no opportunity to resolve this reasonably before being threatened with a referral to collections.
This type of blanket enforcement and refusal to consider context, prior payment, or honest oversight is the hallmark of predatory enforcement behavior. The companys unwillingness to acknowledge the disproportionate nature of the fine further validates my concerns.
I am reiterating the following:
I do not accept this $77 penalty as fair, transparent, or justifiable.
If this is reported to collections or affects my credit, I will pursue further action with the Texas Attorney General, the ************************************, and public media outlets.
I am still open to paying a reasonable administrative fee that reflects the minor nature of the overagenot a blanket penalty created without proper disclosure.
This businesss practices are harmful to consumers and must be reviewed for potential regulatory oversight.
Sincerely,
****** *****Initial Complaint

Parking Revenue Recovery Services ("PRRS") issued me a fine of $55 - approximately ******% on a full day of parking because I did not pay the FULL DAY OF PARKING at the same time each day.I parked at a lot provided by Spaces Ballpark ***************************************** 70 parking spaces was listed as an amenity on their ********** company rented meeting rooms on June 17 & June 18, 2025 for a company meeting.Nothing was posted with any information about times to pay or scaled fees for hours - simply a QR code to scan for a full day of parking. I was delayed in paying the full day of parking 6/18/25 as there was an emergency when I walked in the building. Although I have disputed & provided receipts that a full day of parking *$6.57 was paid each day I've emailed and called, filed reports with Co Attorney General as 1. Full Day Payment Was Rendered 2. Ambiguity Constitutes Procedural Unfairness 3. Precedent of Acceptance Without Penalty 4. No Evidence of OverstayBusiness Response

Hi, I paid for 4 hours of parking in the ************************* on June 16, 2025. I paid $19.35. I received a notice of non-compliance from Parking Revenue Recovery Services **** dated June 26, 2025. I submitted a dispute with **** per their policy showing that I had logged into the payment portal within minutes of entering the garage and a receipt showing that I paid for 4 hours of parking. I left the garage timely. It appears that the garage's internal system posted the payment late. In my dispute to ****, I submitted all of this documentation and the dispute was denied with a generic message stating: "Thank you for submitting your dispute and the additional information you provided. We have carefully reviewed your dispute and based on the information provided, the notice was issued for valid reasons and the dispute is denied. Please note that when using a parking facility, it is a requirement to follow the rules of use for the property, or you are in violation of the terms of use." There was no indication about what the reasons were for issuing the violation and what rules of the facility I violated given that I paid for the time I parked. **** is seeking to charge me $55 for their error.Business Response

On the lot you only have 10 minutes to pay for parking and you took 45 minutes to pay. This is the reason you received the notice. You did however, pay for your full time on the lot so we have dismissed your parking notice. There is no further action needed from you.Customer Answer

I paid for 2 hours parking at a parking garage. When I pulled up and parked it took a while for me to complete the payment so I was in the car for a time. The time I entered the gates was earlier than my actual start time. When we got back in the car my daughter needed to get her things so we didnt leave the gate right at the 2 hours. We was in the carThere was no sign saying the parking will be based on the time you drive in and out the gate. You scan to pay once you find a spot and get out of the car. I paid almost $8 for 2 hours and for a couple minutes overage and for not existing the gate I received a $70 bill ticket. I tried calling in I have been on hold for an hour 30 mins saying its 45 calls in queue. I am writing for a bill adjustment there is no way I used $70 worth of time within a few minutes.Customer Answer
