  The agent was very rude when I got a call. I told them I want to cancel and he kept asking rudely why I responded to the offer. I hung up on him.

  I spoke with aknowledge man. I had problems with the charging port. Explained and resolved within 15 minutes! Awesome company! Thanks for your Tablet. A happy customer ??

  I got a tablet Astro 8R in the mail and I didnt even ask for it. So what do I do with it or how can I send it back. Thats what people are saying they are getting one and didnt ask for it kind of stupid I think!

  PLEASE READ SEVERAL OF THESE REVIEWS BEFORE APPLYING!* * * * *I only had to pay $11, but I am beginning to think it wasn't worth it. If you don't use the tablet for a several days, they send a warning that I must use it at least once a month. I keep getting caution notices saying I will lose my service unless and I must hit the 'do not discontinue service' button. I tried many times only to get an error msg. I had another *** giving me a free cell and serv. I never had to worry. Plus they give you the phone # but there isn't a way to call! Something fishy w/them! They can have the tablet back if they want to come and get it! They are probably keeping tabs on everyone who gets 1 anyway. Also, I have received a LOT of scam emails since receiving the tablet. I wasn't getting those before. And they all look alike, but with different names of legitimate businesses I do use. This company probably scammed the government, but didn't do what they were contacted to do, as they aren't very professional. I hope folks read these reviews before applying. Save up some $ and buy 1 that YOU, and YOU alone will own and only YOU have control of, not this company. Thankfully I did not give them any bank info. I paid the $11 with a reloadable debit card and so far they haven't attempted anything. They would be wasting their time, as I rarely put more than $50 on at a time and spend it fast. As another reviewer asked "how do any of those people sleep at night?" I wish no ill will, but when you cheat people, you bring your own grief.

  I received a email from Excess Telecom informing me that I was eligible for a free tablet from the government acp. I was already on the *** with an internet provider and thought I was receiving this offer since I had just returned my recertification. After filling out the application and submitting it I was harassed for hours to complete the application,which I did over and over. I finally received approval and was then informed that I would be switched from my internet service to cell phone service with Excess Telecom. I tried several times to speak to a representative to inform them I didn't want phone service that I was already on my friends phone plan. That I need internet/broadband for my TV and for my computer. I wad told my internet had already been canceled when I was approved. So I sent them an email which I will include here...Cancel my upcoming enrollment on October 1st 2023. I have decided to remain with my current broadband/home internet provider. I will not be forced into a mobile phone service that I do not need. Just to get a $11.00 android tablet. I have never and will never SCAM anyone especially the Government. The pressure your company put me through for hours last night and today to complete my application was ridiculous, felt like the neighborhood bully. In my opinion Excess Telecom are the true GOVERNMENT SCAMMERS. Using people to profit funds from the Government while gaining subscribers for your company. They sent the tablet anyway now I don't know how to send it back I don't want their service or their tablet. Excess Telecom is the worst company I have ever dealt with please help me let everyone know not to do business with them.

  I have never heard of excess telecom, but found out through my ACP program that I was enrolled with. Without my permission nor knowledge. I called my national verifier and my safelink/tracfone company, they never heard of them nor did they switch over my plan or anything over to excess telecom. They also told me that my plan was still active with them. I called the ***** to excess telecom twice. First time, someone hung up in my face. The second time, a person came on, never introduced her/himself, only asked for my last 4 digits of my social security number and my birthday. Beware of excess telecom, they are a scam and I think my information was sold to them. I was told I couldn't de-enroll myself from their company but they have my info. Never asked for my name or address. Yeah, excess telecom is definitely a scam.

  I got the tablet and it came with no Sim card. I have contacted the company at least 5 times and they tell me that they will send me a new sim card. At every call they told me this, and have not received any new Sim card. I try to go on my account on ********************. What kind of people treat people like this. It is a scam.

  I was going to apply for the free tablet but when ready ****************** I already use ACP for my phone provider so did not complete application. My phone provider sent me a message stating that my ACP on the account will be dropped because another provider is using it. My complaint is that why the application was complete when I didn't approve and complete it?

  Got enrolled in this company without applying or getting any device. Called to de-enrolled and told me the info im providing doesnt match only name and ss #. Of course whoever applied only has limited information and made a fake acct. Had to called lifeline to get more information and acct # in order to de enroll. They need to do a more profound verification before enrolling anyone.
