I honestly dont get why CAINE WEINER is reporting this debt under my name because I dont owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didnt even bother to provide it. Its frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and its just not fair. This company refuses to solve an issue an issue I dont not have with them. They threaten to hang up on me as I tried to explain to them legally I dont owe them any money due to me not having any business with them, my business was with progressive insurance not with this company I didnt give progressive my permission to give my information to this company but this company gave my information to all major credit bureau without notifying me first and progressive failed to notify me or failed to asked me permission to give this company my personal information there for since this company was so unprofessional and ruled not to mention hung up on me trying to resolve a issue I do not have with them I will give them 24 hours to remove this account from all credit bureaus after receiving this letter from the BBB.Business Response

Respectfully, the consumer is mistaken with respect to credit reporting. Neither a collection agency nor a creditor is required to obtain the consumer's permission prior to submitting a qualifying account to the credit bureaus. Our system notes indicate that per creditor records the balance still remains due. We previously mailed the consumer validation on January 28, 2025. As a courtesy, we have requested verification from the creditor and will mail it to the consumer once it is received. We have noted the dispute on the consumers account. Our office will gladly review any documentation provided by the consumer that may indicate that the creditor records are inaccurate or that the account does not belong to the consumer. I am rejecting this response because:On May 01, 2025 I ********* ******* contacted ********************** who is reporting this negative account that ******************** & Weiner is reporting to all major credit reporting agencies. On April 30, 2025 I called ****** & Weiner to discuss this matter and a representative at ****** & Weiner informed me they have contacted all major credit reporting agencies to asked them to remove this account from my credit file on April 30, 2025 he told me this account was removed from they file. The next day I called Experian I explained to Experian that this account shouldnt be on my credit report due to ****** & Weiner who removed this account and also contacted the credit bureau, so a representative from Experian contacted ****** & Weiner to get this solve. The first ****** & Weiner Representative transferred the call to another representative who informed ******** this account has a $0 balance and could be removed if I ********* ******* contact someone this was all being recorded by Experian and ***** & Weiner after she told Experian this account has a $0 balance she transferred to a 3rd representative at ****** & Weiner who was very ruled and yelling and unprofessional this is all recorded by Experian and also ****** & Weiner the Experian representative had to tell the representative at ****** & Weiner she was being very unprofessional serval times and she refused to solve or discuss a matter thats reporting on ********* ******* credit report she asked the 3rd representative could they or should they remove this account from I ********* ******* credit report and informed her that reporting something to a credit bureau is against the law if its not 100% accurate ****** & Weiner stop refused to inform Experian the account should be removed due to this negative account reporting on my credit report I was unable to make purchases and was turned down by several credit card agencies and or ETC and it was embarrassing and I was unable to get the things I needed to purchase.

I am writing to formally dispute the validity of the collection account your company has reported on my consumer credit report. This alleged debt pertains to the original creditor, Progressive, under the following details: Account Number: ******************** and **********************. I dispute any debt your company claims I ***. I demand the immediate termination of all collection activities, including calls or any other communications. If you claim you had prior permission to call my telephone number, which I know was never granted, I hereby revoke that permission. You are restricted solely to written correspondence. I also demand that you provide, without delay, a copy of the Forward Flow Agreement under which my alleged account was transferred or sold to your agency. This agreement must be signed, dated, and include any relevant provisions regarding the sale or transfer of the portfolio of loans. Additionally, I demand proof of your legal right to collect on the alleged debt, including a complete accounting of how any balance was calculated, along with all documentation establishing the chain of ownership.
