I believe this account has been assigned to me in error, as I am not liable for the debt in question.I have no contractual obligation with CAINE WEINER and have never received any documentation to substantiate the validity of this debt, despite my formal requests for verification. I specifically asked to review the original application or contract related to this alleged debt. Since CAINE WEINER has been unable to provide this documentation, I assert that the debt is not mine and should not be associated with my records.I kindly request the removal of this erroneous collection from my account and an acknowledgment of this resolution in writing. I am disputing this account.I do not owe a balance to Progressive, and I have never entered into any contract or agreement of any kind with Caine Weiner.I also requested validation and the original underlying contract, and they did not provide it.Additionally, to my understanding, they are not licensed or authorized to collect in my state.For these reasons continuing to report this account on my credit report is inaccurate, and is a violation of my consumer rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.I am requesting that this account be removed.Business Response

DEBT COLLECTOR is attempting to collect a debt from me in my state without being licensed to collect in my state. Their actions constitute illegal and unauthorized debt collection activity. This debt collector engaged in abusive, deceptive, and unfair practices of the ***** which it prohibits. to investigate and take appropriate enforcement action.They furnished this account that we didn't agree upon and I didn't sign an agreement on. I am requesting that the ************************************ (****) require ************************* (MOHELA) and Caine & Weiner Company to immediately cease all reporting and collection activities associated with these fraudulent accounts and to permanently delete them from all consumer credit reports (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion).If either furnisher cannot provide original, signed applications or contracts demonstrating that I personally authorized these accounts, they must remove all related data, inquiries, and payment histories under 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 (FCRA Identity Theft Block).I also request that the **** document this as a verified case of identity theft and ensure both furnishers comply with all obligations under the **** and FDCPA to prevent further unauthorized reporting or collection attempts.Business Response
