    I discovered a collection account from you all on my Experian, **********, and Equifax reports even though I never received the required validation notice. I sent a timely written validation request and a cease and desist, but the collector continued reporting and pursuing the debt without providing verification. This appears to violate the ****** including 15 U.S.C. 1692g(a) and 1692g(b) and 1692c(c), and raises FCRA accuracy concerns under 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2. I am requesting CFPB assistance to require deletion of the unvalidated collection, removal of related inquiries, cessation of collection activity unless proper validation is provided, and written confirmation of compliance.

    Im filing this complaint because Caine & Weiner is reporting a collection account on my credit report that is both inaccurate and unverified. The alleged debt comes from ***********, but I have never had any direct contract, agreement, or signed authorization with Caine & Weiner. When I requested proof and validation of this debt, they failed to provide any documentation such as a signed contract or an assignment agreement from *********** that shows they have the legal right to collect or report this account.Despite admitting that they do not own the debt and that Progressive is still the creditor, Caine & Weiner continues to report the account to the credit bureaus as if it is valid. This is misleading and damaging to my credit. I have disputed this through Experian, yet the account remains, even though no verification or validation has ever been produced.Their actions appear to violate several sections of federal law, including:15 U.S.C. 1692e (False or misleading representation of the character or legal status of a debt),15 U.S.C. 1692g(b) (Continuing collection without proper validation),15 U.S.C. 1681s-2(a)(1)(A) (Furnishing information known to be inaccurate), and 15 U.S.C. 1681i (Failure to properly investigate disputed information).Reporting a debt they dont own or cannot verify also means they have no permissible purpose to be furnishing this information under 15 U.S.C. ******** asking for this account to be permanently deleted from all credit reporting agencies, and for Caine & Weiner to cease all collection or reporting activity unless they can show full validation, including proof of assignment from Progressive and an original signed contract showing I owe them.Ive made multiple requests for documentation, and their refusal to provide it or to correct the inaccurate reporting has caused harm to my credit and peace of mind. I would appreciate BBBs help in holding this company accountable and in resolving this matter quickly.

    I'm reaching out because I'm having an issue with a debt that was reported to my credit by *********** , and now it's in the hands of Caine & Weiner. I want to make it clear that I do not owe this debt, and I have no contract with Caine & Weiner.Ive asked them several times to send me the original contract, but they havent provided any documentation to prove that I owe anything. This is concerning, as I should have been given the opportunity to review any original agreements they claim I signed, but theyve never sent anything over.Heres the account in question:Account Number: ******** High Credit: $149 Opened Date: 4/16/2020 I dont know where this debt came from, and Im not sure why its showing up on my credit report. Since I dont have any proof that Im responsible for this, I would like it removed from my credit report and for no further action to be taken against **** hope you can look into this and help me get it cleared up quickly.
